Great Stay For The Price
Pros:

For the price it’s a great place to stay. The pool was clean, staff friendly. I felt safe and enjoyed the stay. I’m a little picky about how I pass out stars but don’t be put off by that. Again, for the money I am very happy with my stay.

Pros:

When we arrived for checkin at 1:30pm (checkin time started at 1pm), there were no rooms available. After waiting around for about 10 minutes, we were brought to a room that was dirty. We ended up having to wait for close to 1.5 hours before a room was available and clean for us to checkin to. The rooms were clean overall and we had plenty of fresh towels, which was nice. The showers are cold water only, the beds and especially the pillows were pretty uncomfortable. There are no door handles so to keep the door closed you have to have it locked, which is inconvenient when you have multiple people in the hotel who want to do things at different times, but only one key. Overall the hotel was fine, but I wouldn’t stay there again and that’s after having stayed at multiple Costa Rican low budget hotels.

Friendly place to stay
Pros:

We enjoyed our trip to the Alkamar. This was our first time in Costa Rica and we were more than happy with our choice of hotel. Restaurant was good and the pool spotless

Very clean and great staff
Pros:

The Alkamar is a great hotel from the cleanliness of the room to te great staff , the only negative is no hot water.The pool area is great too.
