Metropolitan Hotel Dubai

It’s a good hotel, but room assignments are a matter of chance.

It’s conveniently located for trips to the city center, the beach, and the airports. The Equity metro station is just a short walk away.

This was my second consecutive stay at the Metropolitan, as my first visit went very well and I was pleased with it. The first time, I was given a non-smoking room with a bathroom and a balcony. It was simply fantastic!

Room cleaning is up to par. Everything is clean and tidy. However, there were some stains on the floor lamp and mirror, and the carpet needed a more thorough cleaning, as white socks immediately turn gray after walking on it. This isn’t a big deal for me. The main thing is that the bedding is perfectly clean, as is the bathroom.

Sound insulation in the rooms is average. Because of the connecting door, you can often hear guests from the neighboring room, especially children, even at night. In that regard, you don’t feel any privacy when talking in your room.

But on my second visit, in August 2025, I was much less fortunate
I was given a room without a balcony and with a shower stall instead of a bathtub
I usually check in before the official check-in time, and the front desk kindly checked me into my room early both times.
I told the front desk that I was willing to wait if they could give me a room with a balcony, but they told me there weren’t any available.

There’s also practically no difference between the Guest and Deluxe rates. The front desk said that Deluxe rooms overlook a garden, while Guest rooms face the street. I booked Guest the first time and Deluxe on my second visit. Both rooms had a view of the street, but the Deluxe turned out to be worse because it lacked a balcony and a bathtub.

It’s a real shame that there’s no way to guarantee a specific room with a balcony and a bathtub, so you have to settle for a game of chance.

Five stars for the service and quality. The property is very clean, and you can tell the housekeeping team takes great pride in their work. The staff are very welcoming and made us feel right at home. Make sure to try the restaurants the food is very amazing and there are so many great options to choose from!

Metropolitan hotel was really good. We stayed here when we were stranded in Dubai during the Iran war of March 2026. The rooms, the buffet are top class. In addition, the staff is also very kind and really go above and beyond to help us. I would like to thank Sandeep at the concierge desk who gave us some good tips about the popular places to visit during our stay. He also helped us to get in touch with the emirates staff to get our flight rebooked. He also helped us to book us a cab back to the airport as well. I would definitely stay over here again for the experience.

Sandeep at the concierge was great. Helped us with luggage, taxi booking and also told us about Careem app.

Great place and wonderful staff.i have mention each department especially faham and the people in concierge, the cheifs,housekeepers.its a gret place with all facilities and we keep looking forward to book again with them.

We were dropped in the Metropolitan hotel under exceptional circumstances. The 28th of February, the airspace in Dubai was closed, given the missile threats and the unrest in the region. The correspondent flights for thousands of emirates passengers were cancelled and the airline company has distributed us in different hotels.

We had the chance to be in this hotel and really taken good care of. All the personnel - from the cleaning stuff, the reception, the concierge, the stuff in the restaurant - were extremely kind and attentionate. The management of the number of people arrived this Saturday evening and the assignment of rooms was done in a very orderly and efficient manner respecting the priorities for elderly people and families with children.

The stuff in the reception, our friends Kamal and Faham, were particularly caring, responding to our questions with patience and importantly with a genuine smile. We really appreciated their professionalism which is a very important quality when dealing with clients under stress in such rare occasions. Some of us were in fear for their lives and the hospitality experienced in the Metropolitan hotel and its people helped us go through this in a very pleasant manner. We felt really taken care of.

The service, the cleanliness, the rooms, the personnel all contributed in our amazing accommodation .

During a time when uncertainty and stress were very high, Sandeep went above and beyond his regular responsibilities to ensure we felt safe, informed, and taken care of. He was calm, approachable, and always available whenever we needed assistance. Personally, I value service that comes from empathy, not just duty. Sandeep demonstrated empathy, patience, and leadership under pressure. He represented the hotel with integrity and humanity during a very difficult time.

Amazing service by all the staff here and great amenities! The breakfast buffet is also great here. Exceptional hospitality by the housekeeping team especially by Mudassar! The hotel is also quite centrally located and walkable to metro making it very convenient to reach anywhere in Dubai. I highly recommended Metropolitan for your stay in Dubai.

I had organized my wedding reception in the banquet however the experience was quite bad. Not the finalized menu, no room booked for the couple wherein initially it was informed as a complimentary. No signage board. Starters not served properly. Sales agent not present at the time of event. The worst part was there was no apology, the message and email was left unattended. Not even a single call after the event to check on what went wrong.
Immensely disappointed!

We recently hosted our office annual celebration at the rooftop venue of Metropolitan Hotel, and the experience was truly exceptional from start to finish. The rooftop setting provided a stunning ambiance with beautiful views. The venue layout was spacious, elegant, and ideal for hosting more than 50 people. The hotel staff were incredibly professional, attentive, and supportive throughout the event. From planning coordination to on-ground execution, every detail was handled smoothly and efficiently. The team ensured that everything ran seamlessly, allowing us to fully enjoy the celebration without any stress. The hospitality and dedication shown by the team was exceptional.

Highly recommended for corporate events, celebrations, and gatherings. We look forward to hosting more events here in the future.

Great service and good value are the key things about the hotel. It's not the most luxurious, nor the cheapest but it gives you great value, everything you would need, and with great service. Huge thanks to Sanjay from the housekeeping night shift!
