Pros:

Good standard of room. TV channels all worked.

Cons:

Queueing for 45 minutes to check in. It was not just about the number of people - the system they were using is super slow.

Aircon in the room was quite weak.

Fantastic location, wonderful breakfast buffet, great bed and pillows so comfortable

Location here is great, second time we have stayed

Cons:

Originally when i booked the room i booked a smoking room(partner an outdoor smoker) thinking it would have a balcony like we did before covid. They no longer have balconies so the smoking rooms are quite disgusting as in there is no ventilation and i felt i needed to vomit after 10 mins from the smell. However no problem for them to move us to a non smoking room which was clean and fresh

Great location, comfortable
Pros:

The location is perfect to go around Makassar. Close to the harbour, the fish market, the museum La Galigo and other interesting places

The furniture and general decoration is a bit run down and out of fashion

It was a short stay, close to my conference venue.

I stayed at this hotel during an international conference where I was invited as a keynote speaker. Prior to arrival, I had reserved a sea-view room through Booking.com and informed the conference management accordingly. Unfortunately, an additional reservation was made for me by the organizers, resulting in a duplicate booking.

While I was already in transit, I contacted the hotel to request cancellation of one of the reservations. I was informed that the cancellation was being processed. However, upon arrival, I was told that no changes could be made due to Booking.com policies, and I was advised to wait for further updates regarding the conference booking. Later, I was informed that I needed to pay for the first night of the unused reservation, despite having notified them well in advance. This delay in communication resulted in an unnecessary charge for the same night twice.

Additionally, although I specifically booked and paid for a sea-view room, the room provided did not have the view that was promised. This was disappointing, especially after a long journey.

The breakfast selection also did not meet the expectations for international guests, with limited variety and options.

Overall, the lack of timely communication, failure to honour the room request, and inflexibility in resolving the booking issue made the experience far below the expected standard. I hope the management reviews these concerns seriously to improve guest experience in the future.

Locatie en goed bed.

Cons:

In eerste instantie hadden ze voor mij een rokers kamer gereserveerd terwijl ik had aangegeven een niet rokers kamer te willen. Na veel gedoe en lang wachten zou ik alleen de eerste nacht in die kamer hoeven te blijven en daarna een niet rokers kamer krijgen. De eerste kamer was beneden peil. Slecht uitzicht en veel lawaai en ondanks blijkbaar een extra schoonmaak beurt nog steeds vooral aan de gordijnen te ruiken dat het een rokers kamer was. De tweede en derde nacht kreeg ik een betere kamer.

I am a bit upset as I requested for the top floor for my children. The receptionist agreed. So l left the children there waiting until the check in time and when I got back to the hotel in the evening they ended up getting rooms at the 5th and 11th floor.

Nice stay, enjoy the spa!
Pros:

It’s ideally located at the waterfront and close to Fort Rotterdam. The staff is making sure that your stay is comfortable as possible

Cons:

As there are many conferences going on (4 during my stay) check-ins and outs could be challenging when a big group arrives or departure. I was lucky to just hit a lull between different groups

Ich würde wieder einchecken, allerdings nicht mehr im 19.Stockwerk!
Pros:

Die Lage des Hotels ist in Flughafennähe. Der Transfer dahin wird auf Anfrage vom Hotelpersonal organisiert. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie versuchen bei Problemen sofort, soweit es Ihnen möglich ist, zu helfen. Da wir auf unserer Heimreise nur einen kurzen Zwischenstopp eingelegt haben, sind wir abends nicht mehr ausgegangen. Wir haben uns das Essen aufs Zimmer kommen lassen. Das Angebot ist ausreichen und das Essen sehr gut.

Cons:

Wir waren in einem Nichtraucherzimmer im 19. Stockwerk untergebracht. Leider fing pünktlich um 21.00 Uhr eine Veranstaltung mit Livekonzert in der Bar im Stockwerk darüber an. Diese endete erst um 2.00 Uhr nachts. Was für eine Geräuschkulisse!! Wir konnten glücklicherweise in das 8. Stockwerk umziehen. Leider war dieses Zimmer zwar genauso schön wie das vorhergehende, leider aber ein Raucherzimmer. Für Nichtraucher eine Herausforderung.

Nice hotel in a good part of town. Lovely staff. The rooftop bar was great.
Pros:

Breakfast was excellent. A good range of foods, with some great local options.

Cons:

The furniture was looking very tired in the rooms and our sink was blocked. Quickly fixed by the maintenance staff.
