Purana Boutique Resort

Our 4 night stay at Purana Boutique hotel was truly magical! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the most warm and lovely staff at the resort. I have to say that every member of the staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, pampered and relaxed!

The property was absolutely beautiful with lush plants and tropical flowers throughout the property! It was so peaceful and relaxing…it felt like we were in an oasis in the middle of the jungle…although we were only 15 minutes from the hectic city center of Ubud.

Our room was truly awesome. It felt very private, especially with our own private pool! Every detail, from the stone wall shower to the flowers in the room made the experience feel incredibly luxurious. The food was also amazing! Every meal looked like a photo from a magazine…beautifully presented and delicious.

I’d like to extend a special thank you to Yannik, who went above and beyond to make the visit special. He helped us plan two wonderful side trips and was our tour guide for one memorable visit to the waterfalls, rice paddies, and a coffee plantation. His thoughtfulness, knowledge, and patience made the experience truly exceptional!

Purana is a hidden treasure that will stay with us for years to come. I recommend it highly for anyone looking for a luxurious, pampered experience for a great value in Bali.

My stay at this property was not just disappointing—it was a complete failure of professionalism, responsibility, and basic customer service, ultimately ruining my entire trip.
Since the 21st, I have repeatedly requested the same issue to be resolved, yet the hotel continuously responded with evasive, inconsistent, and deflective statements, taking no actual responsibility.

Even worse, the hotel’s behavior made it feel as if I was being treated like a liar, despite providing the same information multiple times. The hotel claimed to have “sent emails” that Agoda repeatedly confirmed were never received, resulting in an absurd cycle of repeating the same explanation for nearly a week.

This level of communication breakdown is unacceptable for any hospitality business.
The continued negligence and lack of transparency caused significant stress throughout my stay, and even after returning home, I am still dealing with an unresolved issue—leaving me more frustrated now than during the trip itself.

A hotel should at minimum provide responsible service, transparent communication, and proper issue resolution. This property failed to meet even one of those standards.
Do not be deceived by their good reviews or pretty exterior—choosing this hotel risks turning your trip into a complete regret, just like mine.

This hotel has no respect for guests’ time, no intention to resolve issues, and no understanding of basic service standards.
If you don’t want your Bali trip ruined, avoid this place at all costs.

호텔이 “메일을 보냈다”고 주장하는 내용은 실제로 아고다 측과 전혀 일치하지 않으며, 이로 인해 일주일 동안 동일한 설명을 강요당하는 비정상적인 상황이 지속되었습니다. 여행 중 계속된 스트레스도 모자라, 여행이 끝나 집에 돌아와서도 해결되지 않은 문제 때문에 오히려 더 큰 분노와 피로감만 남았습니다.

서비스 업에서 가장 기본이자 필수적인 책임 있는 응대, 투명한 커뮤니케이션, 정확한 문제 해결 이 세 가지 중 단 하나도 충족시키지 못하는 숙소입니다.
리조트의 아름다운 외관이나 좋은 후기만 믿고 선택했다가는 저처럼 여행 전체를 망치고 후회만 남는 선택이 될 수 있습니다.

이 호텔은 고객의 시간을 낭비하게 하고, 문제 해결 의지도 없으며, 기본적인 신뢰조차 충족시키지 못합니다.
발리 여행을 망치고 싶지 않다면 이 곳은 절대 추천하지 않습니다.

We had a fantastic stay at the Purana Boutique Resort, the staff were exceptional. Very welcoming & helpful throughout our stay. Room was gorgeous overlooking the pool, breakfast everyday from our balcony. Complimentary yoga on Saturdays. We will hopefully be back in Ubud to stay again!!

We loved our stay here at Purana! The staff are very welcoming and attentive and are always happy to help. The facilities are clean and well presented. We were given the option of having breakfast on our balcony area which we loved. The location is good if you don’t want the stay in the main town centre of Ubud it is easily accessible via grab taxi or a short walk. Getting around Ubud from the hotel was very inexpensive and not too far in grab taxi. There is also a nice pizza restaurant nearby. Overall we loved our stay here and would definitely come back.

My stay at Purana Boutique Resort was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived until the very end, everything was truly 10/10. The food was delicious, the rooms were spotless, and the staff — absolutely one of a kind. They are so humble, kind, and genuinely make you feel welcomed and cared for.
The location is also excellent — it’s very easy to grab a ride with Grab to go anywhere, and the resort also offers convenient shuttle service when booked in advance. Pricing was more than fair for the level of service and experience we received.
As a coffee lover, I was thrilled with the number of great options nearby. The area is also very safe, and walking around felt completely comfortable with zero issues.
I would highly recommend Purana Boutique Resort.

I can not recommend this place enough!! The installations are great but the staff is what makes it perfect. I wish I had stayed more!!! It is a no brainer, book it!

The Purana team was very thoughtful and accommodating during our stay, allowing us to feel very comfortable and at home. This made our trip much easier, especially as we were travelling with a baby. They were quick to react and arrange solutions for our last minute requests, we couldn’t recommend enough! Special thanks to Agustawan who took us on a half day tour and was an amazing guide and entertainer to our baby :)

This place is magical! The staff are exceptional, like I have never experienced before. It felt like family! The villa was perfect with everything we needed. The location was great to experience Ubud. The food was delicious, including the private chef BBQ meal which was offered free for a little error. The massages were heavenly. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone went above and beyond. I wish we didn’t have to leave, you made me fall in love with Bali! Thank you so much, we will be back! Emily and Simon 🥰

Fantastic piece of paradise in amazing gardens. Staff were so helpful making the stay so pleasant. Restaurant food always spot on and the breakfast was so tasty with fresh fruit juice, do try the dragon fruit.

Our villa was absolutely stunning. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the outdoor shower was lovely and the private pool was so relaxing. There was a good outdoor undercover area with fan which provided shelter from rain when needed. There were also plenty of sunny & shady areas to lounge by the pool. The food was absolutely delicious! The location was perfect, in a quieter area of Ubud, but only a $5 Grab ride into the centre of town. The hotel also provided free shuttle bus service which we utilised. What makes this resort the best I've ever stayed at were the staff. Warm, friendly, efficient and so very accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel welcome from day one. I highly recommend staying at Purana Boutique Resort if you're planning a trip to Ubud. We will definitely be back.

The rooms are perfect, the villa is perfect. We stayed in both, if you stay in the villa you won't want to leave even for a tour of the surroundings. There is a wonderful team, their staff is large, every employee you meet is even more kind and helpful...
The location is very good, the restaurant is very good, but if you want a change, there is a very good "Circle K" market and cafe, restaurants within walking distance.
If you want to go to the center of Ubud, there is also a free shuttle service.
The price/benefit index is very good.
In summary, 2-3 days will seem short, plan to stay longer.

loved the hotel, an area of tranquility compared to the hustle and bustle of Ubud. Travelling to Ubud allowed a glimpse of the real Bali, although it seems to be geared for the tourists now.

Absolutely beautiful service, would highly recommend, staff were so lovely and amenities were stunning. Enjoyed breakfast and room service, which was absolutely delicious and staff were even kind enough to provide a boxed breakfast at 1:30am before a hike.

We had a wonderful short stay at Purana Boutique Resort. The staff were incredibly helpful and our connecting rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. The design and ethos of this small hotel is beautiful and it’s a great location just on the outskirts of Ubud. Perfect for a very short trip in (free shuttle bus) and to explore the surrounding area. Can highly recommend!

The restaurant is good quality, lots of choices, indonesian, japanese, indian and even western food. Great healthy cocktails as well !

The resort was absolutely breathtaking. Located a 10-minute drive from the Ubud Art Market and Sacred Monkey Sanctuary, the resort exceeded my expectations, and the staff provided the best service I have ever experienced. They offered a shuttle to get to the Ubud city center and were attentive to all of our needs. The restaurant was delicious. I can't recommend staying at the Purana Boutique Resort more.
