People coming home in the early hours of the morning from nightclub in the main street and my neighbours talking for two hours after they got home

Our stay at The Criterion was unfortunately very disappointing.
Pros:

The location was very convenient in the middle of town..

Cons:

The room accommodation was nothing like what was represented on booking.com
The building was in very poor condition in need of a lot of maintenance and the room had paint peeling off the walls. The male shared bathroom was unusable and the males had to share the female bathroom. Access to the verandah was blocked from the room we were given because it was unsafe which was very disappointing as we booked a deluxe room.

Good vale for money. Clean and comfortable rooms. Loved being near the clock tower!

Cons:

The bathroom plumbing needs attention. One of the showers was seriously leaking all night (and we have just been drought declared) and the shower pressure was appalling. Also a curtain to block out the hall light would be nice.
