The location was excellent and the staff were very attentive. The room, while small, was well appointed, and was very clean.
Breakfast quality was very good. In particular, we noticed the honey was of exceptional quality.
While the room was very clean and linen and towels fantastic, some of the out of the way corridors could have had some attention.
We couldn't work out how to switch off the floor lamp by the TV overnight and didn't know if this was a fault or by design.
So close to the museums and Harrods, yet in a quiet and peaceful road. Lovely decor and facilities and such friendly staff.
The mini bar was too well hidden! Nearly didn’t find my milk for a coffee in the room.
The decor is beautiful, my room was so chic and comfortable with a well stocked mini fridge and great selection of snacks.
Great hotel
Shower controls difficult
Nothing
I have worked with Booking.com for many years and booked many trips. It was always very reliable and positive! I was your fan. However the Franklin cancelled our booking on arrival without notification! Even worse: they asked for our 3 passports, let us wait very long before coming with a terrible excuse they had problems with flooding and had no spare room. They had, so was said, arranged a similar room in a similar hotel with 5 stars from their sister organisation. Close to them. I could not believe this; they could have notified me immediately, but they said they were hoping for a cancellation! It’s unfair: we came for one night to London and lost expensive time. The other hotel, the Pelham, was completely different and we were really unhappy. I tried to call you several times but ‘due to technical problems’ the tape said I could not. You lost my trust in you.
I loved the style of the interior and the very comfortable bed
It was a little bit noisy at night because of the traffic outside. I think the windows could be more soundproof
Ogni aspetto
I stayed at the Franklin for six nights and it was definitely the high point of my trip as well as one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. Hotel staff were exceptional, especially the concierge/restaurant/bar staff. I ate breakfast and dinner there almost every day and those facilities were intimate, with highly responsive and welcoming staff. As a gin martini drinker, I reveled in the long list of gins available and the expertise of the staff. I upgraded to a junior suite on the third floor a week before my arrival for a modest fee. The room was large with a great bathroom that included a shower room and heated floor. My room and the restaurant /bar look out onto a large private garden, which had the feel of a mini estate. Because the hotel is nestled into an old, affluent residential neighborhood, it was quiet, and I felt like I had my own little apartment with my own staff. Brompton Road (V & A, Harrods, and multiple small boutique stores) is 1/2 block away.
Clean property, nice breakfast options
Very small, no reception area. Feels like a small living room. No bellman/doorman
