Something needs to be done about this hotel very quickly. It is in a general state of disrepair and not fit for habitation. I was at a business meeting there and their toilets were decrepit and unkempt. The swimming pool and swimming pool area was more or less abandoned. Please avoid until a general overhaul is done in that place
this is by far a very terrible place to stay in Abuja, roaches every in the room and even in the fridge. AVOID this prison at all cost.
It's an old hotel, needs rehabilitation, renovation and reactivation. My toilet door locked me for 2hours, I was shouting no body heard me, no room service , I have trekked outside to buy soap and tissue, no towel, nothing given to me. TV is blind, mosquito had their feast on my body, they said no mosquito repellent available. Agura hotel is as good as a short time chalet.
I am embarrassed using your platform for the second time , they told me in hotel my reservation is not been seen . That they are not longer collaborate online . I paid money using Ur platform on the end I was forced to look for another accomodation!!!
I am very disappointed
The place was very bad. The pictures showing on the web sites is not the same. The building conditions was in terrible shape. The rooms are very bad. I don’t know what kind of words I should use to describe that dirty place they call it hotel. I have to select a room from 8 rooms they show me and non was suitably to sleep in . The final one I choose did not have a key so I finally have to leave the place and look for another hotel. They still have not refund me my money
The A/C need to be on while the generator when the generator is turned off after a power cut as the weather is outrageously hot.
Poor facility
This hotel has everything property needs to be a standard hotel, well designed , unfortunately they lack most of the hotel services are missing. The house keeping is not satisfactory, no enough lightening in both the lobby's and rooms, the quality of TV stations are very poor. There much to do in both services and manpower.
The rooms are big but the place is generally poor…needs a major overhaul…no wifi…the TV is not working…remotes for the TV is also not working …the AC in the room sounds like a helicopter…electric wires are visible….the bathroom is an eyesore…please avoid this place
On check in I was offered a room with broken A/C, as it was 36 degs outside I passed and was switched to another room, this one had a broken toilet, actually it wasn't fixed to teh floor and tipped when you tried to sit on it, so I passed again. The third room had no cold tap on the bath/shower and as I didn't fancy getting scalded I passed on that one as well. The forth room had a broken shower and noisy A/C so I passed again. You might think it was just me being too fussy but the room I finally settled for had A/C, a working shower and toilet, and they changed the fridge so I had one that worked and I settled for the fact that the TV in this room didn't work simply because I was fed up with moving around trying to find a suitable room.
The place is grubby, one of the rooms I was given had dirty sheets, unmaintained, the lifts are broken as are the phones, breakfast is a very poor choice of local food only, and the staff seem to refer that you have room service rather than sit in the restaurant (I wonder why?). I'd paid in advance otherwise I would have left after the first hour, so don't make the same mistake, in fact just avoid this place like the plague
Used to be quite lively in the past but series of events have reduced activities in the hotel. It's location opposite the defence headquarters is an advantage as per security and disadvantage as per restricted movement. Some parts of the hotel have been renovated giving it a better outlook. The rooms are spacious though the towels and sheets in cheaper rooms need to be replaced. Restaurant is good. There is a gym, pool and outdoor bar which doubles as a club on some days. Accessible to most parts of abj.
'First came here 20 years back while in the Federal Capital Territory for a project. Then, it was somewhat of a delight amongst the few top-range hotels in Abuja.
And now? The place has greatly fallen, sinking to damn poor levels. Ok, it is well located and accessible, big grounds while the rooms are spacious with generous sized beds. That ends the positives!
The elevators have since stopped working hence one has to make do with the stairs. The touted Free WiFi was not working through out my stay with the constant excuse by the management that "it would be fixed today" (quoting them). Though the rooms and beds are generously proportioned, the place is definitely falling apart with broken wooden furniture, dirty/stained walls, worn towels, flaked wall paints, etc. Hot water isn't available in the bathroom and is manually delivered in buckets if you ask!
Saw some roaches/insects in the bathroom.
Meals? No buffet offerings at all. Orders do take a while to be ready being somewhat overpriced in the light of prevailing circumstances of the hotel.
Oh, there is a sizeable swimming pool and Gym(fitness center) which have seen better days.
Though most of staff are courteous, this facility needs a thorough overhauling and rebirth if it must continue business. There was once a hotel...
No toiletries. Stained towel and only one available . Lift doesn't work. Dirty walls. Housekeeping entered room against my instructions. Staff were quite courteous though. Not a place I ever want to visit again.
