Hotel Hotu Matua

Good service and ok breakfast. Towels rough. Bathroom not clean. Lounge area nice. Walls very thin. We could hear girls partying well after midnight. Too far to walk for meals - would help if hotel offered lunch and dinner.

Staffs were friendly and helpful at any moment. They made my stay smooth and enjoyable!

Hôtel très sympa et bien situé. Les chambres mériteraient un rafraichissement, mais l'ensemble est très bien avec un personnel très serviable. A noter la qualité exceptionnelle du petit déjeuner avec des produits frais et une préparation très travaillée et entièrement faite maison.

Amazing accommodating place to stay given the hotel I initially booked bailed while I was on the flight! A clean room with the ability to use a swimming pool as a bonus. The receptionist was accommodating considering my limited Spanish. A very nice stay!

la atención del personal es muy buena, son muy amables y atentos en responder cualquier consulta. El desayuno es bastante bueno, la ubicación es buena, un poco lejos del pueblo, pero para los que gustan de caminar, anda muy bien. Lo malo es que los domingos y festivos, no hay servicios de restaurante y el hotel queda practicamente solo.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. I wouldn’t choose to stay here again though if I didn’t have my own transport, as it was about a 20 minute walk to the town centre area and 25 minutes to the seafront. I thought for the cost to stay here, the breakfast buffet wasn’t great quality and we were required to sit in a certain place rather than choose where you wanted to sit, which I hadn’t experienced anywhere else.

Shabby, no AC, gaps in screems to let the infected moskitos in...

Lovely feel to the the hotel. First time I've ever see bananas growing around the pool area!

The staff are all very helpful, especially a young lady in the front desk. She helped me to call the hotel that I planned to stay next. One younger guy is helpful too as I rented a bike there. Really enjoyed my bike ride.

Room could do with refurbishment. Wi fi only available in reception /bar/restaurant area. Restaurant menu not available in English on our 1st night but translated by 2nd evening. Reception staff very helpful. Break fast - no fruit or yoghurt avaliable. General store close by. Rapa Nui Dream Island tours very good

Hotel Hatu Matua is exactly what we wanted: affordable, clean, pleasant, delightful gardens, kind, helpful staff, walkable to town center. We had a pleasant stay. Laundry was sent out and returned promptly. All good! I’d stay again.

Un séjour sur l'ile de paques est toujours extraordianire. Cet hotel a un accueil très agréable, et trouve une solution à tous les problèmes. Pas de guide ? on vous en trouve un, pas de voiture ? on vous en trouve une, on vient vous chercher à l'aéroport, on vous ramène. De plus, l'hotel met en avant la culture de l'ile. Son nom vient du premier roi qui est arrivé. Je connais bien Tahiti et ses iles, et j'ai retrouvé la gentillesse des habitants de polynésie. Je recommande pleinenement.

The manager, Gonzalo and the staff are great! Breakfast included fresh juice, fresh fruit, cheese, meats, toast, sweet bread and tea or coffee served at your table. The hotel is in need of refurbishment which they are working on. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I want to thank everyone at Hotel Hotu Matua for a wonderful stay.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotu Matua. The ladies (and 1 gent) at reception were extremely efficient, always friendly, always did more than what was required. I'll go back there anytime and highly recommend it. The room was a bit rustic, but clean. The meals were good and the setting of the hotel is ideally close to town, yet quiet.
