Naturaleza, tranquilidad y una atención de otro nivel
Pros:

Un lugar simplemente mágico. La naturaleza que lo rodea es vibrante y te envuelve desde el primer momento. Algo que nos sorprendió gratamente fue la ausencia de mosquitos, lo que permitió disfrutar plenamente de cada espacio al aire libre.

La atención merece más de cinco estrellas. Olivia y Aron se esmeraron en cada detalle para hacernos sentir cómodas, bienvenidas y como en casa. Su calidez y dedicación marcan una gran diferencia. También queremos agradecer al señor Luis, quien se encargó de nuestros traslados y nos brindó una asesoría impecable sobre cada lugar que visitamos. Gracias a su conocimiento y recomendaciones, nuestra experiencia fue mucho más enriquecedora.

Además, junto con Olivia, nos organizaron un maravilloso paseo en bote a las playas cercanas, permitiéndonos ver los delfines... Da gusto encontrarse con personas tan conversadoras, comunicativas y siempre dispuestas a ayudar, haciendo que cada momento sea aún más especial.

A pesar de estar en primera línea de mar, el entorno está lleno de aves y vida natural, creando una atmósfera única. Dormir escuchando el sonido de las olas es una experiencia difícil de describir; transmite una paz que invita a desconectar por completo del ritmo cotidiano.

La gastronomía fue otro de los grandes aciertos de nuestra estadía. Tanto los desayunos como las cenas estuvieron excelentes, preparados con esmero y con sabores que complementan perfectamente la experiencia del lugar.

Aunque viajé con una compañera de trabajo, no pude evitar pensar que este destino es ideal para parejas que disfrutan de la naturaleza, la tranquilidad y esos momentos de complicidad que solo surgen en lugares especiales.

Sin duda, ha sido una experiencia memorable. Nos llevamos hermosos recuerdos, el cariño de personas extraordinarias y la certeza de que volveremos. ¡Totalmente recomendado!

Cons:

Como aspecto a mejorar, lo único que encontramos un poco complicado fue el estado de la carretera en el tramo final antes de llegar al hotel. Entendemos que actualmente se están realizando trabajos en la vía y nos explicaron que el proyecto ha experimentado algunos retrasos debido a la coordinación entre las autoridades, la empresa encargada y la comunidad local.

Sin embargo, una vez que se llega al destino, el esfuerzo queda completamente recompensado. La belleza del lugar, la tranquilidad del entorno y la extraordinaria atención del equipo hacen que este detalle pase a un segundo plano. Esperamos que las mejoras avancen pronto, porque un lugar tan especial merece un acceso a la altura de la experiencia que ofrece.

Stunning treehouse style room and deck overlooking a lush tropical garden. Lots of wildlife!

Stunning location in the jungle with a gorgeous room and tree-house style observation deck. Host was helpful in arranging taxi pickup from Bocas town. Restaurant and service was mostly great.

Cons:

We were the last guests of the season (our first time experiencing this) along with one other couple already there who then left so it was just us for the last couple of days. Unfortunately seemed that there was a certain eagerness to close up.

Tranquil jungle-beach oasis!

What an amazing experience! From the ease of the check-in process, to the special request item (i.e., champagne) to start our anniversary off, and not to mention the wonderful staff, meals, room, and breathtaking views of the beach and sounds of the jungle! Chef's kiss - perfection!

Lovely and paradisiacal. A place to return to.
Pros:

The Hummingbird is a gem. With beautiful and comfortable rooms, our stay was peaceful and relaxing. The property has been carefully planned and is well maintained, with lush tropical gardens and access to the jungle, where frequent sightings of monkeys, sloths and colorful birds are quite amazing. The pool is nicely surrounded by tropical trees and flower plants with hummingbirds visible from time to time.
Key to The Hummingbird are the very attentive hosts, Betsy and Gary, and their fantastic staff. The restaurant is a big plus, with delicious food and a great bar.
The beach is a few steps in front of the property with soothing sounds from sea waves.

Great hotel for a relaxing break to enjoy nature - highly recommend.
Pros:

Our stay at the Hummingbird was perfect, Gary and Betsy were great hosts. The room was big, clean, comfortable and set in the gardens with nature all around, which we could enjoy from our decking area. The Hummingbird is situated out of town in a beautiful and quiet location with direct access to the beach and able to hear the relaxing sound of waves breaking from our room. A different high quality breakfast on offer everyday, served by a friendly and attentive team.

So dissapointing : we booked for 4 nights , stayed 3 nights as we couldn't find flights earlier

some wild nature, saw few birds and one agouti, large room, terrasse, had one dinner ok; wild large beach nearby for walking, unfortunately no swimming because of high strong waves, staff ok except Olivia who hates guests

Property in the middle of nowhere, almost all neighborhood for sale or under construction, basic room, no coffee maker, no hair drier and other restrictions in the name of eco-friendly, but plastic bottle for water or metal bottle for sale, seamed to me everything just cheap, little natural light in the room, no activities, abandoned pavilion with ancient broken books and games, small garden cannot walk beyond; the most unpleasant was Olivia - the one in charge there, owner? - who made us feel unwanted ( even we didn't complain at all); still, she didn't forget to calculate the tip

Very friendly atmosphere from the hotel owners, surrounded by beautiful nature
Pros:

This is a family-run eco-hotel located on a beautiful and romantic beach. Before the trip, I looked at many hotels and reviews and was prepared for the fact that the road to the hotel (about 15 minutes) was quite challenging, and swimming on the beach was not recommended. But we really wanted a secluded island experience surrounded by nature. And our expectations were more than met!
Listening to the sound of the surf and birdsong, watching hummingbirds having breakfast, and sometimes seeing a sloth in the evening – it was magnificent!
Transportation was easy; the hosts sent a trusted taxi driver directly to the airport, who then drove us around the island. Finally, for a change, we rented a small jeep for a trip to the gorgeous beaches on the other side of the island.
The dinners at the hotel were excellent! And most importantly, the hosts were incredibly welcoming! It felt like visiting close relatives who really missed you!
Thank you so much for the wonderful atmosphere at your hotel!
