What an amazing experience! From the ease of the check-in process, to the special request item (i.e., champagne) to start our anniversary off, and not to mention the wonderful staff, meals, room, and breathtaking views of the beach and sounds of the jungle! Chef's kiss - perfection!

The Hummingbird is a gem. With beautiful and comfortable rooms, our stay was peaceful and relaxing. The property has been carefully planned and is well maintained, with lush tropical gardens and access to the jungle, where frequent sightings of monkeys, sloths and colorful birds are quite amazing. The pool is nicely surrounded by tropical trees and flower plants with hummingbirds visible from time to time.
Key to The Hummingbird are the very attentive hosts, Betsy and Gary, and their fantastic staff. The restaurant is a big plus, with delicious food and a great bar.
The beach is a few steps in front of the property with soothing sounds from sea waves.

Our stay at the Hummingbird was perfect, Gary and Betsy were great hosts. The room was big, clean, comfortable and set in the gardens with nature all around, which we could enjoy from our decking area. The Hummingbird is situated out of town in a beautiful and quiet location with direct access to the beach and able to hear the relaxing sound of waves breaking from our room. A different high quality breakfast on offer everyday, served by a friendly and attentive team.

This is a family-run eco-hotel located on a beautiful and romantic beach. Before the trip, I looked at many hotels and reviews and was prepared for the fact that the road to the hotel (about 15 minutes) was quite challenging, and swimming on the beach was not recommended. But we really wanted a secluded island experience surrounded by nature. And our expectations were more than met!
Listening to the sound of the surf and birdsong, watching hummingbirds having breakfast, and sometimes seeing a sloth in the evening – it was magnificent!
Transportation was easy; the hosts sent a trusted taxi driver directly to the airport, who then drove us around the island. Finally, for a change, we rented a small jeep for a trip to the gorgeous beaches on the other side of the island.
The dinners at the hotel were excellent! And most importantly, the hosts were incredibly welcoming! It felt like visiting close relatives who really missed you!

Sehr freundliches, zuvorkommendes Personal und sehr schöne Unterkunft in der Natur in direkter Strandnähe. Menschenleerer Bluff Beach ist traumhaft schön und lädt zur Entspannung ein. In der Unterkunft sind die Wellen und Tiergeräusche zu hören.

The nature, the ocean nearby, the service at the pool, the room refreshment daily with water refill, the food quality was excellent. Betsy the host was always there to meet our needs and more.

The accommodation is on the track from town to the gardens of the Bocas island, set between the beach and the rain forest. This means lots of bird sounds in the morning, hummingbirds and the occasional howler monkey call and Sloths nearby.

Despite this isolation the bedrooms/bathrooms are luxurious, the pool a good size and the food at the casual restaurant excellent.

Todo en general, cuidan mucho los detalles, la cocina es muy buena. Tienen una sensibilidad especial por ser sostenibles. Además tienen claro que quieren ofrecer calidad , son solo 6 alojamientos . Si vuelvo a Bocas del Toro pelearé por alojarme aquí. Felicito a sus propietarios.
