We went with a group stayed here for 6 days the location is fine 10-15min walk to the A1 gate of the haram so not that far but could get longer if they close the entrances to go to the mosque.
The rooms are clean but be mindful they dont change your towels and bedding everyday its every other day like may be after 2 days. They clean the bins regularly everyday.
It is not value for money as we have stayed here yes its close by but basic stuff like hot water to have a shower is not available I have complained everyday to be told that we will change your room they keep messing you around. Say come at magrib, isha and then the next morning but they dont do anything. Yes I went with the group but even they couldn't do anything as staff keep given them the same excuses.
After all this shower business was told they have a small boiler in such a massive hotel bare in mind the have over 14 floors and 2 towers and said thats how the water comes out becuase of this I dont recommend it unless ur not bothered.
The noise level around the rooms its been quiet not noisy but the reception is always very busy.
It is a very busy hotel. The atmosphere is very busy. The lifts are fine they come down very quickly so no issue there. Breakfast is ok in 6 days we have only been down twice to have breakfast.
Would not really recommend because of the water issue if your not bothered then its a good location.
I stayed in the emaar grande Makkah in room 1019. Our cleaner was Amar and he was very nice and cleaned our room to a good standard and provided toiletries when needed. He always asked if we needed anything and ensured we weren’t without. The view from the room was amazing as you can view the clock tower.
If you going for chilling very nice hotel but we going for umrah . When i go for umrah i don't like to missed 1 prayers in haram but this hotel not convinced for 5 times prayers in haram. Especially like me health conditions . It's quite far when you back from prayers, all gate get close. You need to walk 15 minutes. Then many millions people crossing the road , doing shopping. Beggars, footpath close by those silly womans for there cheap staff sailing . It's not easy for health problems people. In shaa Allah next years i will avoid long distance hotel.
It was not the best experience. There were leaks in the bathroom. The csdpet was not clean. We were not placed in the same floor even though we were promised this would be done.
I had a very disappointing experience with the breakfast service at this hotel. The staff were extremely aggressive and lacked basic hygiene standards. While I was eating, they were spraying cleaning chemicals in the dining area, which is very inappropriate around food.
I had just placed my plate on the table and stepped away for a drink, but within seconds, a staff member began cleaning my table, spraying near my food and pushing my plate aside, even though it was untouched. When I politely asked why they were cleaning my table when I had just arrived, I received no response, only dismissive looks.
The staff also pushed chairs roughly when moving behind guests, showing no patience or courtesy. Sadly, I ended up feeling unwell later that day — I don’t know if it was from the food or from the cleaning spray getting on my meal.
Overall, the breakfast experience was unpleasant, and the service needs significant improvement in professionalism, hygiene, and customer care.
Good staff
It's a matter of mistake in location of hotel and a matter of few second when I realised that I made a mistake in location of the hotel then I lost the money which I know is still in the agency. So your agency is gluttonous and greedy.
Bed were clean and comfortable and food was nice
first off the walking distance isn’t actually 17 minutes, i would say much less. you can see the clock tower from the hotel. the rooms were good, it took us a while to figure out the AC but that’s ok. breakfast was 3/5. they dont really change anything except like two dishes daily but other then that it’s fine. the staff were friendly but sometimes it was difficult to find the receptionist or talk to them because they would stop the conversation they are having with you to go and talk to someone else, very annoying but what can i do. overall you get what you paid for so in the end it wasn’t bad but i wouldn’t say it was good. will probably get the hotel in the future tho we will see inshAllah. first picture it what it looks like walking in and the second is the view from the window(it was the 5th floor)
The hotel could do with an upgrade especially the bathrooms. The water smells odd which is not pleasant and the tiles appear old. The pressure of the shower is good with both hot and cold water. The rooms are a bit cramped. Includes a fridge, kettle, coffee, tea bags (exposed out of its wrapper), no milk. No space to pray in the room as its small, but there is mosque in the building which is really nice.
The lifts are quick and plenty of them.
Staff are friendly. Room service only makes the bed. No wipe down of bathroom and no hoover. Bedroom window was cracked.
Hotel is about a 10 to 15 min walk to the haram. There are lots of shops on the roads including Asian restaurants.
Overall its ok but I wouldn't stay here again. Its more a 4 star (at a push), and location of the hotel brings it down further.
No service! STAY AWAY! The staff doesnt Care. I Waited 3 hours and first when I went Down to yell at them. They sent someone. Rooms are poor.
Overall disappointed with the dated rooms, horrendous carpet, ludicrous lifts and shower which let's out water unless you're showering with one hand and holding tight the door with the other! Customer service, as in from the front desk, non-existent, really, just a nod here and there. TBH was not here to make friends with them.
On a plus side, the beds were decent and didn't experience the roaches and stuff another reviewer mentioned. And breakfast buffet was not bad, quite pleasant. The hotels internal Mosque was very nice, best part of the hotel. That pretty much saved it from getting a 1. We were a family of 4.
Great hotel, amazing stay, staff mamager very helpful
Overall hotel is good but if you are travelling with kids it's a bit far from the Haram. My kids struggled with the walk to the mosque. 12-15 min walk to the Haram but the crowd makes the journey longer. Breakfast at hotel has a lot of choices but not great choices. I'd avoid breakfast.
DONT COME HERE. INFESTED WITH ROACHES. There’s roaches and bugs inside the fridge, the bathroom, the beds. When complaining about the bugs on my pillow, the receptionists are rude and will pretend not to speak english to not have to deal with you. They offered a new room, but checked to see that the bathroom was even worse. The bathroom is infested with cockroaches and has mold. The shower is dirty and moldy. The cleaners don’t clean the rooms unless you personally ask them, but even then they will act like you asked them such a big favour. They don’t disinfect the area, vacuum, clean the bathroom, or tidy the desks. They don’t offer new towels, new bedsheets (which come stained), or toilet tissue unless you press them for it. The rooms have a weird smell when you enter. The lifts system is terrible and takes ages just to get one to come to your floor. The telephones are fake. The server in the cafe hides the labels to charge a higher price.
Hotel is very busy due to location. Not recommended with young families due to on very busy commercial road.
Had a terrible experience with Emaar Grand. Reception staff is outright rude and unhelpful. Was given a dirty and stuffy room at first. Got it changed to another one with only 2 towels (between 4 people), empty bottle of hand soap, no iron in the room (took us 4 hours just to get one), dirty fridge. The reception never answers when you call. Pathetic way to treat guests especially those who travel far distances and are there to perform religious duties.
Alhumdulliah ir was great but need to have micro wave in the room
It started from when we checked inn
I requested the bell boy to collect our baggage n transfer to our room he didn’t respond
Second thing house keeping guys they dont answer calls
Asked them for towels they refused to provide
Even they dont irons
It is my worst experience
It was a good stay. Had issues with towels though. Only one bath towel for 3 adults. Had to phone, go down to reception and ask the cleaners before we were given 3 towels.
