Pros:

I thought we booked a apartment style for family of five. Got 2 rooms and paid double price. Instead of 170 it was 270. Then saw it advertised at 40 dollars while there. It was a long way from anywhere. Pool is smaller than pic. Broken showers. Had to use the one by toilet which is up high and goes straight to your towels rack. No hairdryer. Food not great. Mosquitoes everywhere.

Mysigt hotell för en fridfull semester

Trevligt hotell i fridfull omgivning. Majoriteten av personalen trevlig och tillmötesgående. Härliga rum med uteplats.

Enda negativa upplevelsen vi hade var vid vårt besök på spat. Vi var tre personer som tog en behandling, två av oss var nöjda, men den tredje var inte nöjd då behandlingen inte motsvarade det som framgick i beskrivningen. Massören/utföraren av behandlingen gjorde inte det korrekt och var dessutom nonchalant och höll på med sin telefon under 90 minuter. Detta var både respektlöst och ignorant. Otroligt oproffsigt! Speciellt med tanke på att priset på hotellet var betydligt högre än andra spa i närheten.

トイレの排水口の臭いが強い。
バスタブの湯を排水すると洗面所が水浸しになる。

ビーチまでの送迎やビーチ用のバスタオル貸出は有難い。カウントダウンパーティーに無料で参加できた。朝食は良かった。

Vi är nöjda med allt förutom deras arrangerade BBQ-kvällar där maten var fantastisk men logistiken katastrofal. All mat kom inte och vissa rätter försenades mer än en timme. Det är tråkigt eftersom nivån och grundambitionen är bra när dessa kvällar arrangeras. Personalen har i vissa fall svårt att höra eller rent av lyssna på sina kunder. Ett konstruktivt förslag är att repetera vad som beställts och säkerställa att man vet vad kunden vill ha. Om det är en språklig barriär som behöver forceras (kundapsnivån vad det gäller engelska varierat stort) så får detta hanteras av ansvarig chef.

Off the beaten track, Elwood
Pros:

Elwood was a nice peaceful place to stay away from the crazy downtown core and busy roads. Staff were very nice and helpful as best they could trying to understand and speak English. Breakfast was great - with a large variety of fruits, yoghurts, toast and cooked items (more like lunch or dinner meals). They had a chef ready to cook your eggs any style! And lots of fresh fruit drinks.
Our room beds were great; a little harder then home but more comfortable and sturdy.
Pool was lovely and well used by guests.
Beach is a bit of a walk (or shuttle) down the street and unfortunately short strip of sand with a fair bit of trash. You have to walk further down the beach to get to this hotels sectioned off area with lounge chairs. No food or drink service there, but other hotels along the beach. A large selection of restaurants and hotels are on another road approx. 10 minutes walk from our hotel. Otherwise very quiet on our hotel road. Hotel rents scooters for a good price and other places nearby. We went to a laundry place on the main road that only cost approx. $3US for about 20 items!
Something I really noticed on this trip (no offense to this hotel in particular), but mainly small plastic water bottles offered. Hopefully hotels, airports, etc will convert to larger water bottles or water filtration program in the future to reduce plastics. Tourists should request it more too. Hopefully we can reduce our 'waste footprint' when we travel.

Lovely grounds, delightful staff
Pros:

We stayed at the Elwood for 10 days with a young (under 5) child. It was exactly what we hoped for-low key atmosphere, beautiful extensive grounds, a place to quietly enjoy family time yet be assured that you had help when you needed it. The beach is so close and the pool also so nice it was hard to choose. We were there for Christmas and the care and enthusiasm the staff took over the decorations and holiday feast were very charming. There are many places to stay on the island but The Elwood offers impeccable facilities and service- don’t hesitate to consider it, it’s an incredible value.

Great quiet resort!
Pros:

It's a beautiful small resort just out of town. Great location but need a taxi to get into town. Very relaxing. Barely ate at the resort but being so quiet, and based in what we did eat, it wasn't to my liking. Staff were amazing and graceful and very helpful, cheery and nice! Loved our villa right by the pool.

Traveling from N to S Vietnam. This was our last stop before heading to Cambodia. The Elwood was a great little resort in the heart of a small town. Good size detached bungalows and clean! Coco Palm beach is awesome! Probably one of the best on the island. If you venture outside the hotel, Ong Long town has some great trendy and chill out restaurants, shopping. Only a short motorcycle ride to Duong Dong town night market (it's OK but you only need to see it once). Otherwise taxi is onky 100K. The hotel rented us a good scooter with a full tank of gas for 200,000 VD/day. You can find them for $170 but hotel has better value. Staff is good and speaks English. Food at the restaurant is amazing/ full portions. Pizza was fantastic! Burger not so much. Expensive compared to all the other hotels and restaurants in area. Breakfast was very good. Free shuttle to beach was awesome although walk is only 10 min. We ended up extending our stay to 3 nights and switched hotels on the 4th/5th night to something less expensive as we spent more time exploring on scooter. Check out the north side of the island as beaches and routes are fantastic!

Nothing wrong but nothing great.
Pros:

The hotel is decent, but probably not worth the $100 nightly price in Phu Quoc. It was our first time staying in Ong Lang, and next time we will probably stay on Long Beach. Long Beach has more restaurants, bars, and the beach is nicer, plus, there are quaint hotels on Long Beach. Ong Lang seems like an area where hotels were built on empty dirt lots.

Nice Hotel. New but still building some facilities. Eg Gym and Spa are yet to be made available. Some rooms still being renovated.

Service is Exellent!!
Very comfy Bed and bedding.
Room size is very good.
Poolside is great.
FREE Happy Hour Every Night is Awesome :D

I would stay here again. So by Jan or Feb 2017 would be perfect for the newcomers to Elwood hotel
