My worst hotel experience ever
Pros:

My worst hotel experience ever!
First of all, we were supposedly given a suite hotel room. The bed was completely broken, as was the sofa bed. As a bonus, the bathroom was dirty, with both the toilet and shower left unfinished and covered in sealant residue. Airing out the room was not an option because this room (509) overlooked the interior walls of the building, supposedly a suite (what a joke). Finally, after complaining for a long time, we were moved to room 209 the next day. This room was fine, considering the circumstances. That same night, my grandfather passed away and we had to leave the hotel to fly back home. We left behind four full days that they sold to new hotel guests on the spot. One compensation was good, though: we would stay in touch. Long story short, Booking.com contacted them to get some of the money back because of the extremely unpleasant situation. But as expected, the hotel doesn't care about this situation at all! People, stay away from this hotel, it's worthless. The Booking.com employee even agrees.

Great location, expensive coffee!
Pros:

In terms of location, you could not fault the hotel, it is very central and pretty much all the main attractions are within walking distance. The room was very clean and amazingly quiet since we were in the city centre, but we were lucky and got a room which didn't face the main street. Reception staff were really friendly and helpful. The only small caveat - don't order an espresso at the restaurant next door, 1. they use cialde and 2. I was charged 5 euros for it - come on guys you are not Sant'Eustachio! - and then had to take it to the table myself!

Restaurant is a big negative, hotel nice though
Pros:

Location was great, staff were friendly, room was small but nice. Wouldn’t stay here again though as the staff in the restaurant attached were very rude on two occasions.

Great location
Pros:

The staff at check in were amazing and very friendly. Our room wasn’t ready but when we returned our bags had been brought up to the room for us. Another staff member escorted us to the annex separate building to guide us to the room. This building has a musty smell as soon as you open the door, the elevator can only hold 2 people and is extremely old.
Our room was spacious, bed was very firm but had a great sleep on it. There was patchy paint on the walls but this wasn’t as issue just not very appealing to look at. Bathroom was also a good size. We had an issue with a dirty stained toilet which we had to call down twice to get this rectified as it had not been properly cleaned from the previous guests.
Room had been thoroughly cleaned each day of our stay with no issues after this.
We checked out early and left our cases in the hotel and later returned to collect these. We decided to have a drink at the bar downstairs before we left. The barman took our order and we went to sit down but he then told us to get up and sit at the front which I found slightly rude.

Overall it’s a nice hotel and in an amazing location just needs a few tweaks.

Don’t recommend this place
Pros:

The only nice thing about this hotel was the convenience, it was close to all the tourist spots. We got the “Annex” room which we dint realize were in another building. Walking in stinks like mold. Rooms stink like cigarettes. Elevator is old and creepy. Bed is uncomfortable. Nosey outside. Asked for a different room and was told they were booked out. Cleaning lady was outside our rooms awkwardly waiting outside our door and she dint restock the used items. Had to ask multiple times and speak to the manager for the wine that was part of my reservation since they dint deliver it until the night before check out.

Bar Review
Pros:

Bar Review - We were staying nearby and came here for a couple cocktails before dinner in the area. The bartender/server working said he’d serve us if we sat at the café tables outside, on the sidewalk, which is what we did. We waited about 8 minutes before he came out to help us though (wouldn’t normally be an issue, but we were limited on time due to our dinner reservation). They have a decent cocktail menu with lots to offer. I ordered a Classic Daquiri and it came out about 10 minutes later. It tasted like lime juice with no alcohol in it – very disappointing. Would I come back? Nope.

The prefect way to spend a special birthday stay
Pros:

I booked this hotel for me and my partner, we stayed in a superior room which had a comfortable firm bed, It was modern and well equipped. The decor looked a bit tired in places but overall pleased with the room. I would say this hotel a 3.5 star hotel and would be a 4 star with a decor refresh. We were at the front of the building on a busy road so there was a bit of road noise but did it not disturb our sleep. There was a lovely window seat which was perfect for watching the hustle and bustle of city life. The breakfast room was small but enough choice and food was satisfactory. The location is perfect, it sits between the Trevi fountain and Spanish steps. In terms of value, the price of the room was reasonable compared to other hotels so centrally located.

Pros:

The hotel room is small and the bed was terrible. Might as well have slept on the floor. It was hard as a rock. The pillows uncomfortable and flat. The sheets, you move and the sheet covering the mattress comes off and then you’re just sleeping on the mattress itself which is a bit gross. And the sheets aren’t very soft.

The location was great. Walkable, shopping and dining and easy access to the main attractions. The hotel staff were friendly and the lobby looks nice and the AC works great. But for the cost we paid would have expected so much more from this hotel.

Unsafe conditions-hotel refused responsibility
Pros:

I booked Hotel 87 in Rome and was given a room with black mold on the ceiling. The hotel told me I could switch rooms the next day, meaning I was expected to sleep in unsafe conditions on my first night. I paid a lot of money and did not receive a safe, habitable room upon arrival. The hotel also refused to issue a refund or take responsibility. This property does not match the photos and reviews shown online. Travellers deserve to know that safety and accountability are not guaranteed here.

Reception is the first impression for hotel.
Pros:

Paid a triple room and only got a double. Asked reception why and showed the Reservation to the staff who had Curly hair He was very impolite and said he did Not know anything about that just either take the room or contact the website we bookef through.Nothing else he can do... Really Unpleasant check in. However the next receptionist Red was very nice guy who really helped us.
Overall hotel location is really good.

Not worth 4 stars
Pros:

We booked a room for 4 people (2 adults and 2 children) and were assigned room 607 in the hotel’s annex. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing.

First of all, it was not clear from the booking that our room would be in a separate building, half a block away from the main hotel. This meant we were cut off from the advertised facilities such as the fitness room and pool, which felt misleading from the start.

On top of that, upon arrival we immediately noticed a strong, unpleasant smell in the room – something like rodent poison or even a dead mouse. We reported this to the staff, but while the cleaning personnel came to check, they denied there was any odor at all. The smell was so bad that we had to keep the door to the corridor open just to make it bearable.

At the reception, we were initially told that if another room became available the next day, or if two separate rooms could be arranged, we would be moved. However, when we followed up the next day, the bald man at the desk casually dismissed the promise, saying his colleague “shouldn’t have said that” and that they couldn’t do anything since “there was nothing wrong with the room.”

This was a major disappointment. True hospitality shows in how a hotel handles guest complaints. Instead of trying to help, they ignored the issue, broke their promise, and eventually offered two separate rooms – but only if we paid the full price for one of them. This is unacceptable and a missed opportunity to show genuine care for guests.

Because of this, I can only give this hotel 1 star. I also want to warn future guests: do not accept room 607 under any circumstances.

Finally, we reported the issue to eDreams, the agency we booked through, but their response was equally poor. They simply told us to resolve the matter with the hotel and refused to take any responsibility. Very disappointing for a booking agent as well.

Good location. Descriptions of Annex building could be more honest
Pros:

This hotel is perfectly situated to explore Rome. We walked to all of the main locations from here (furthest being the vatican which took around an hour) and found some fantastic restaurants in the local area. The staff were very friendly and at breakfast, Guilia could not do enough for you.

The downside to this hotel was we were placed in the "Annex" building. The description sounds great on the website, however the reality is it is a couple of minutes walk along the high street in a completely separate building. The room was very basic with a tiny window that looked out onto some pipes and a wall. It did have air con and it was cleaned daily. Whilst it was ok, the description could be more honest. It really wasn't what we were expecting at all which gave us an immediate feeling of disappointment. That said, we didn't come to Rome to sit in a hotel room! The bed was comfortable, the room was clean (although the shower could do with some attention) and it was easily accessible.

Pros:

Location was great, very clean rooms and hotel staff were very friendly and very helpful. Great that they had options for bar and food service. Close to Trevi Fountain and Spanish steps as well as subway to make traveling easy. Close to shopping and restaurant options as well. We were a family of four that booked 2 adjoining rooms. Bathrooms a bit small and not much storage for toiletry items but felt standard to other hotels even in US.
