They don’t answer mails!! I sent 3 mails about a reservation and got no answer at all 🤬🤬🤬 this is supposed to be a business hotel…?
A very disappointing experience, room was not clean, safe not available, room phone not working. I had to shorten my days there to another hotel, yet my refund is not pay yet . Very poor management, no communication skill .
Really regrettable choice
Very good food, amazing buffet. They spare nothing to make it happen.
Rooms not exactly that great. Noisy and chaotic neighbourhood.
This hotel is situated in a busy shopping area in Gombe. At first glance, the room looks amazing for the $150 price tag. But when you look closer that’s where you see they don’t have the finishings of a finer hotel. But the room is big, the air conditioning works very well, the wifi is ok. The biggest issue we had is staff knocking on our door every 30 - 60 minutes for some weird reason or other. For example, oh the room Is occupied; please sign this room service receipt (we did not have room service); is everything ok? My husband went to the front desk and told them to stop!
We did not get a chance to try the breakfast as we had an early pickup (4:30am) for the airport.
The snack/fast food restaurant on the ground floor is very convenient.
I visited Kinshasa and DRC in the context of a professional trip last June, and I stayed at Leon Hotel for an entire week. In three words, everything was excellent. I must confess that this sentence summarises my experience best.
I would like first to point out my room was very spacious, included large cupboards to store the clothes, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. All in all, I slept very well, I could work (in the office space of the room), read and also relax (in the living room space of the room and the nice available coach). Moreover, the little attention made every day by the staff was always appreciated. A fruit or a juice was gently waiting for me every evening when I was coming back from work. That small thing makes the little plus that as a customer I remember.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, including the reception and particularly the chef at the restaurant of the hotel. At every visit, I was telling him the kind of food I wanted to eat, and he always came back with lovely options and delicious proposals. The breakfast buffet was also perfect and generous.
I therefore recommend this hotel to anyone who looks for a comfortable and well located place to stay in Kinshasa.

This hotel was booked for me and during my trip to DRC I stayed 3 times. Each time I was put in a better room. On my last night I was given a suite as it was available - a lovely gesture by the hotel after a very difficult deployment.
The staff are friendly and welcoming and speak good English. The breakfast gets 5 stars!
I mailed the hotel before I head to Kinshasa , received a confirmation for the rooms reservation , when arrived on 21st March , I was told my rooms were taken (for a reason), I was offered another choice in another hotel which I didn't like , offered another that was even worse
I left the hotel with promises that I'll be called the next day to fix this , I was never called
I'm really shocked with this unprofessional attitude , No follow Up , No guest experience - taking in consideration that I had to look for another hotel and stay there after an exhausting day
Landed congo and been there from 23 Nov to 5 December. Hotel is in the center of the city. You have ac and hot water and Internet.breakfast buffet has a good variety.prices are negotiable like many things in congo.has a cafiteria in the ground level.where you can chill out.receptiin area not big.most of the time one elevator only is working. Has a gym within minimum of equipment just necessary for your practice.staff are friendly and helpful (I stayed for 100 us which is a decent price in kinshasa)
Just off the main drag;
Friendly receptionists...quick check-in;
Good food around the clock;
Excellent breakfast buffet;
Small but cosy bar;
Clean rooms, towels and bedding;
Hot water...;
Rooms just a little old fashioned ...needs a slight overhaul;
Very friendly and helpful staff......
All in all very good.
We had a great service with a professional personal, we enjoyed a comfortable bed and the breaky was lovely and so tasty but there was no dental kit in the bathroom neither towels nor body lotions. No parking too, we had to park outside on the street.
Horrible service and very dirty hotel
Large rooms, great breakfast, good location, excellent staff.
Can't speak highly enough of this hotel. My crossing to brazzaville was all organized by the hotel, which believe me you dont want to be doing on your own !.
The manager Paul even arranged for some tailoring to be done for me as I'd damaged a pair of shorts.
The hotel organised a car fir the day to take myself and a friend to ape sanctuary at LOLA YA BONOBO, $100 from 9-4pm.
Would highly reccomend it
Soirée de mariage dans un restaurant situé à proximité directe de l'hôtel... et donc musique au volume maximum jusque tard dans la nuit durant deux des trois nuits passées dans l'établissement.
Hotel Leon is a very luxurious hotel in a very unpredictable location. The rooms are just wonderful, spacious and have all what you want. You will not have to call for anything. The staff are exceptional and the breakfast is magnificent. It is in a very accessible location and offers a very beautiful swimming pool and well cuisined meals. Their bed linen and bathroom linen is supper clean.
Excellent breakfast, clean secure rooms, friendly staff, delicious guava juice. I always look forward to stay at Leon hotel. It is close to the city center so very convinient. I strongly recommend to anyone visiting Kinshasa on business
Stayed at Hotel Leon twice for a total of about a week and a half. The breakfasts are very good, even excellent. The restaurant downstairs is pretty good, and a fun place to network.
The rooms are clean, comfortable (especially the beds), and modern. Best part is the service. The staff are amazing. So good at anticipating needs, helping customers, and making your stay special. They can organize an airport fixer, taxis, anything you need.
Just as a note: security is very good at this hotel.
I stayed at the Leon Hotel for work trip. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is huge and particularly my omelette was very good - there is a good mix of local and “western “ food so something to eat for all. Rooms are large with televisions and fridge and internet works well.
A basic but comfortable hotel.
I liked this hotel on the whole. Staff appeared to have been carefully selected, and trained. Management is impressive, some apparently poached from the nearby Memling. Tiny reception area and restaurants. Breakfast is quite good and included in price. The ground floor restaurant, featuring a daily Congolese buffet, is open to the public and gets a bit crowded, most often featuring more than just a couple of "women seeking men". Not the best for a business lunch or dinner, though I loved the buffet. The upstairs restaurant is also quite good. However there's a good variety of restaurants to choose from within walking distance, including La Piscine (and the apparently related La Delice), just across the road
Both times I stayed, I was able to negotiate for a deluxe room at the standard rate (don't quote me!)
Great location if your business is in th3 surrounding Gombe area, and barely 50 metres off le Boulevard
Hotel was fine and safe. Food was good but very expensive. There were limited extra facilities.
