It is a clean modern hotel. Convenient parking and close to freeway interchanges. The on site washer and dryer was a bonus. Hotel met all our needs.
All was good, possibly a little less air conditioning in the lobby area
Gut, keine größeren Probleme
Zimmer zur Straße etwas laut.
I liked that the staff was friendly, the rooms were comfortable and the breakfast on two of the three days was very good. I forgot to say we needed the sofa bed made and the staff came to make it up for us… they were very pleasant. The place felt reasonably clean, maybe could have been a little bit cleaner but it was cleaner than many places. It has a nice little outdoor seating area.
The room wasn’t completely ready for us when we got there. There were dishes still in the dishwasher (but thankfully the dishwasher light showed they were cleaned) and there was a rolled up blanket in the closet that I wasn’t sure if it was cleaned or not.
I forgot to say we needed the sofa bed when I first made the reservation, and when I called the desk they said they weren’t sure if there was any staff around to come and help us with making it up till tomorrow. The front desk employee was very sweet and pleasant; the hotel really needs to have at least one person around though in case customers need help like that.
The pool wasn’t open the whole time we were there which makes me feel that we should have had at least a small percentage taken off of the price of our stay (since we weren’t able to use an amenity that is part of the cost), even if it was $25 or $30 off of total price of our whole stay. The breakfast was great on two of the three days. A nice lady was setting the breakfast on the two days it was wonderful. The one day it was eh not great; I don’t know who prepared it but it wasn’t great and there was no pitcher of water around for a while, so we had to ask, which was fine but the employee literally just took a cup and filled it at the sink…we wouldn’t have minded just doing that ourselves…I think other guests might have liked easy access to a pitcher set out, so they wouldn’t have had to find someone to ask for water.
And a minor thing but just something to note..the ice bucket in our room was cracked through the bottom.
I felt like this hotel was owned by someone who is newer to the hotel business and was trying hard but just needs to smooth out the system a little more before it becomes it’s full potential of being a really great hotel…it’s like it’s very close to being great but needs to work out a number of kinks.
Stayed at this property with family as a stop on our roadtrip to Canada. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff were pleasant to interact with. The grounds were well-kept and my kids enjoyed the pool. Even the breakfast was above expectations.
The location was exceptionally convenient on and off the highway and very close to dining options we chose for our evening meal. We’d happily stay here again for a bit longer to explore all Augusta has to offer
Breakfast was great and thanks for having gluten free options
Did not have hot water of the nights we was there
Clean and updated. Nice breakfast
No complaints
Unable to use the pool, it was under construction.
Did have hot water on Wednesday are Saturday
Pool was closed
It has AC and I did appreciate that.
I could hear everything from my room. Doors slamming, people talking, and people moving things around. The bathroom door didn’t latch. And walking through the hotel itself it was hot and humid. The bed itself was extremely hard and not comfortable, felt like I was sleeping on the ground in the wood.
I stayed at the Homewood Suites in Augusta during a two-day work trip with my wife and two young daughters. On the morning of checkout, I requested a late checkout and was told noon instead of the standard 11am. I explained to the front desk that I had a work obligation ending just before noon, we only had one vehicle, and checking out beforehand wasn’t realistically possible with my family there. I also stated we would do our best to be out by noon, but it could be slightly after.
At no point during this conversation was there any mention whatsoever of a late checkout fee. In fact, the hotel’s own posted check-in/check-out policy lists the “Late Checkout Fee” as $0.00.
Despite that, I later discovered an additional charge on my credit card labeled “ADD-ON Late Checkout-Out” for $81.75.
This feels incredibly dishonest and retaliatory. Based on the interaction, it’s hard not to believe the front desk manager took issue with my pushback about the noon checkout and decided to abuse their discretion by quietly adding a charge they never disclosed, hoping it would go unnoticed.
Charging guests undisclosed fees after the fact is unacceptable. If there are conditions or penalties attached to a late checkout, those should be communicated clearly upfront — not hidden on a credit card statement afterward. What should have been a straightforward business stay instead left me feeling nickel-and-dimed and deliberately taken advantage of.
The breakfast is amazing. There is plenty of space.
The pool was closed and I didn't get notified. The entire reason we went was for the pool. My son had 2 friends sleep over at the hotel with us for pizza and swimming. We have goggles, and matching floats ready and were excited to swim.
The dishes in the dishwasher were dirty and had food stuck to them. I expected the dishes to be in the cupboard and clean. It was pretty gross having to hand wash someone else's stuck-on-food plates!
