A beautiful hotel, a trip back in time
Pros:

A beautiful historic hotel, ideally located with a view of the sea.
Very friendly staff.
Very good breakfast.

Cons:

We arrived on an overcrowded ferry on a Turkish national holiday, which we hadn’t been aware of. Walking uphill from the boat to the hotel wasn’t ideal. It would have been nice if we’d been told about this in advance. On our return trip, the staff helped us, which we really appreciated.

Pros:

Hotel réellement incroyable avec un charme dingue.... on a l'impression de voyager dans le temps. Le personnel est aussi extrêmement agréable. Le petit déjeuner est excellent.

Splendid Palace Hotel’in neden bu kadar özel bir yer olduğunu konaklamam esnasında çok iyi anladım. Hem tarihi dokusunu koruyup hem de yapılan renovasyonla modern konforu yakalaması nadir bulunan bir denge.

Büyükada’nın o sakin, zamansız atmosferinin ortasında; yüksek tavanlı odalar, zarif detaylar ve deniz havasıyla birleşince deneyim zaten başlı başına farklı bir seviyeye çıkıyor. Kahvaltının keyifli olması ve çalışanların profesyonelliği de bu deneyimi “iyi bir konaklama”dan çıkarıp gerçekten unutulmaz bir hale getiriyor.

Burası sadece kalınacak bir yer değil, aynı zamanda yaşanan bir deneyim. Özellikle İstanbul’dan kısa bir kaçış için harika bir alternatif.

Romantic staycation opportunity that becomes difficult to handle during a heateave.
Pros:

The building itself is dreamy, the pool is like a piece of heaven and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Cons:

I understand that it's not possible to install air conditioning but I feel like the fans could have been a LOT better and the facility could have warned us that there is a loud bar right next door that will play music until 2 am. The restaurant part of the hotel seated us 30 minutes after our reservation and the food was very expensive for how lacklustre it tasted. Breakfast was mediocre and unorganized.
