first time guest at this hotel and booked the suite room for one week, a rather pleasant experience overall.
This is a wonderful hotel. It is simply an excellent property. The attention to detail is fantastic and the staff is simply the best. Easily, I would stay here again without hesitation.
Only a five minute walk from PUB Street and several markets but just far enough to not be noisy. A generous breakfast (with fresh juice and great coffee) and an amazing room with beautiful decor. The suite was super comfortable and especially spacious! All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend 1920 Hotel. My favorite hotel in southeast Asia.
We had a great stayed at 1920 hotel as we had a last plan trip with my friend around the Angkor Siem Reap,
Let me tell you the place was amazing, clean, Friendly staffs, reachable area you could find here. I was very appreciated breakfast inc to my room booking which was served by Gentlemen David, he is so sweet and friendly.
I would high recommend to any planning to siem Reap, with a good price, Great Location, clean room, reachable in the town. probably this is your place.
I'd love to come back to stay here for one day.
1920 Hotel's stunning architectural features was a great welcome for our adventure in Siem Reap. The staff were helpful and friendly and not to mention the great breakfast options available!
Hi guys,
The 1920 hotel, Siem Reap, Cambodia. I really enjoyed my 5 days here in Siem Reap, the room was nice, cool, it had fans and air con in both rooms which was great as it was very warm (36 C) most days. There was a private tub and seating area outside the room, on the fourth floor. One word of warning, there is no lift and the room is up top, so if you are not very mobile or don’t like heights, stay away from it. The staff were great and helped out all they could, the food was very good especially the breakfasts. The wifi was good, and the TV was good but not a great selection of western channels.
I liked it overall and would stay there again, good value too.
I have a video of my room on youtube, click and my profile and follow my link to my channel to see all my travel videos.
Location of the hotel is fabulous. It's located by old market with shops and tons of restaurant within walking distance, basically back door of the hotel only a couple mins away. The staff are great as well as they help with the tour and arranging transportation. The breakfast selection is good as well as they prepare for you when you get down. I like the idea that you can select your breakfast a day in advance. The staff went out of their way when we had a sunrise Angkor Wat tour that they prepare breakfast for us on the go. The only thing i didn't like about this hotel is there is no elevator. Good thing we were only on the second floor, however the bellman bring your luggage up for us so there shouldn't be any issue if you have bags. It's not good if you cannot walk up the stairs.
We stayed 3 nights.
Fantastic location, good breakfast, basic needs for a good night sleep and shower.
Clean bed sheets and attached bathrooms.
Few steps away from pub st.
Frentdesk can help to plan your day trip.
I starting with the positive/Good but at end I least the 2 Warnings.
Hotel is new & beautifully done as a whole from the building to furnishings in the rooms with an excellent location to walk almost anywhere in Seam Reap town including the markets.
Rooms: They are beautifully done with the bed & pillows being very comfortable. The sheets aren't the highest quality but they still aren't bad at all. The shower is amazing with the sink & toilet area separate which is so nice. The rooms come with toothbrush/toothpaste, plastic shower cap , comb, Q-tips, shower gel, shampoo, hand soap, flip flops to use in the room & really nice robes. There is a small safe that will fit a newer MacBook Air in it plus few other items. There is a small patio off most of the rooms however the mosquitos are brutal at times.
The room offers a small tea set & filtered water for free, then a pay as you use mini bar.
Overall the room is very nice.
The only issue I had was I was in room 5, which is just a floor up from the lobby, which the staff is fairly loud setting up for the free breakfast in the AM, so that was a little bit of a bummer to be woken up to early. The phone in 5 didn't work so if I needed anything I had to go down to the front desk which wasn't bad just a little annoying at times when super early or late needing an iron/ironing board but didn't affect the overall stay.
THE WORST PART: DO NOT TAKE THE FREE SHUTTLE FROM AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL!!! It ends up a tuk tuk & seen only some older not so nice ones with the tuk tuk driver doing it to sell you tours, so if you have already booked tours like I had then you get complaining all the way to the hotel for 30 minutes, how he picked you up for nothing to get the tours, etc. It literally ended up setting the start off on wrong foot. Save yourself from this & just book a car in advance or download Grab app to use for the ride from airport. It will save you a lot. The tuk tuk drivers here in Seam Reap are fairly annoying & some aggressive in trying to get you in their tuk tuk to take you places. Most of the time you don't need one because from this hotel everything is walkable. This was truly the only major complaint I had. It was awful listening to the driver for the 30 minute ride then basically since I wasn't going to book tour with him, ask for a large tip to pay for the ride or cancel a tour & do it with him. Note if you use a tuk tuk driver for a tour they usually just drive you to the locations, they do not tell you anything about any of them or really answer any questions. Just take you, drop you off othen go park & wait for you to take you to next stop or back to hotel.
ONE OTHER ISSUE: DO NOT USE THEIR LAUNDRY SERVICE. I used it as I'm traveling for 5 weeks & thought ok finally need to get this done well they ruined a top & pair of pants plus returned all my laundry not even dry air tight in a plastic bag. If I hadn't picked it up when I did, it would of smelled like mold. They tried again to fix the 2 items, but still bad. It was ridiculous amount of energy & time for a full day to resolve. Also they did not want to pay the replacement cost of the items ruined even though had all the proof for it. They tried to say well the person who did the laundry doesn't make much, etc. & wanted to not pay replacement value, but my thing is why should I have to sacrifice my hard earned money in this situation. There should be a better system & if your doing a hotel laundry then experienced or supervisor to watch over. Some kind of safeguards. At end they finally paid cost of replacement but it was complete pain for the full day.
We spent 3 nights at the 1920 Hotel in December. I booked the hotel based on reviews and their website. I had lengthy email chats with Lisa, the manager who arranged our Angkor Wat tour. I cannot fault the hotel or staff. It was a really great place to stay. The location is terrific - minutes from Pub Street (not that we actually spent time there), close to many restaurants, bars, cafes, markets and perfect for exploring the old town by foot. We stayed in Room 10 - top floor with the plunge pool which I highly recommend. We enjoyed our privacy and were not disturbed by any noise from nearby Pub Street or other hotel guests. If we were to return to Siem Reap, I would definitely stay at the 1920 Hotel and ask for the same room!
This hotel was is a great hotel in a great location with very friendly and accommodating staff. I’ve been to various country’s in Asia over the past 6 years and have to say this is one of the best I’ve stayed in. It’s not a hotel for the amenities but for me I don’t need all that and they more than make up for it with everything else.
Continuing to be honest the only small issue I had was that the hot water was not hot long enough and forced you to have quick showers.
Overall I will be back to Siem Reap and when I do I won’t need to even look at other hotels which is the best compliment I can give!

This hotel is in a great location, it is very easy to walk around to the markets, the river and there are lots of good restaurants close by. Very friendly and helpful staff, very clean and a very good breakfast. Highly recommended.
The only problem was the lack of a lift. We were giben a room on top and had to blimb so many stairs. Fortunately the staff carried our luggage both ways.
The 1920’s hotel was charming and the staff very warm and welcoming. If it’s your first time in Cambodia, do not be intimidated by the slightly dated tuk tuk (motorcycle pulling a cart) pick up at the airport. The rooms were well kept. The breakfast was delicious (we had the Asian and American options). On the day we had a tour pick up at 4am, they packaged the breakfast for us to take with us. It’s in a super convenient location a 5-7 minute walk away from restaurants, night-market, and pub street. Overall, we had great experience here for our honeymoon and would recommend it to others.
Clean, quite, spacious room. Very good breakfast. Good location next to old market and near numerous restaurants. Very easy travel to airport and temples. When checked in had a cool drink waiting. Very prompt communication pretrip. Highly recommend.
Location is good and room clean and nice
Excellent experience overall, courteous and friendly staff, clean rooms, hearty and delicious breakfast (I selected the Western style), quiet street yet just a short walk to the Pub Street area. I partook in the Archaeology Package. My guide, Voath, was very knowledgeable of the history and religious significance behind every Angkor temple. He frequently shared interesting stories as he navigated us through the temples. We caught all the best photogenic spots while also finding more tranquil places off the beaten path of the crowds. Having a personal guide and driver streamlined the whole Angkor visiting process and allowed me to focus on the temples and not transportation between the temples, tickets, directions, etc. For this cold-climate tourist getting around in a car with air conditioning became all the more appreciated as each day wore on, complete with a complementary cold water and a cold towel.
I had a work assignment in Siem Reap so for my first ever visit to Cambodia, I chose an affordable and centrally located hotel for my two-week stay. This was the 1920Hotel. I got a very large suite on the upper floor. Large, airy, spacious with large lounging area with TV, a good sized desk for working, large double bed and bathroom, clean linen, small fridge, electric kettle and coffee machine. The suite layout was generous with plenty of space to relax in after a day working, sight-seeing, shopping or whatever other activity you wish to indulge in. Breakfast was rich and promptly prepared with items selected from a list. Best of all was the friendly staff and service, always willing to help or point out some place of interest or eating establishment.
Excellent A/C keeps you cool. Tuk-tuks are readily available for short or long trips.
Within a short distance are a vast number of excellent restaurants, and shops. If you need shampoo or toothpaste or any other item there is a mini-market 30 seconds away. Would definitely stay there again.
The best located hotel in siem reap is 1920 hotel. We saved a lot on transport as almost all prominent spots were walking distance. Excellent food choices all around the hotel. The highlight of the hotel was it's warm ,friendly and accomodating staff which made our stay very comfortable and pleasant. The reccomended tuktuk driver Mr. Neth and the guide to the angkor wat were very helpful and nice. The room was very clean, crisp and airy. The breakfast was nice but could have been a little more elaborate. On the whole the stay was very homely and secure. Thank you team 1920 hotel.
