Location not bad. Size of room ok

Halfway through our stay today (30/09) and loving it at Isla.

We have stayed here for the last 4 years and always enjoyed it. Very friendly staff and no hassle.

We are staying in rooms in the block that faces the main road and they have been modernised over the last 12 months. Much smarter and modern.

Aircon is seemingly included and now the balcony doors are rigid, you should get a great night sleep even with the local chickens and the early prayer call.

Perfect location, walk to the front and surrounded by shops and supermarkets.

Try and get to Dr Jivago bar just round the corner, the owner is lovely as is the pub cat 😺

Location is the best. Friendly staff especially Mert who couldnt do enough for us.

I wouldn't stay here for free. Rooms very run down, wires hanging out of walls, handle hanging off patio door, toilet seat hanging off. Also I don't appreciate being bullied by the manager every morning / evening you go out, sitting on the sofa waiting for you to walk through the reception to haggle with you to have breakfast there, to change to half board, to book tickets to a Turkish night or a bbq. We book self catering to eat out every night and try different foods. If I wanted to stay and eat in a hotel I'd book all inclusive. After we refused to eat there we got totally blanked by the manager for the rest of stay. Fine by me penfold!!!!!

Stayed here before last time was fine, this time was rather disappointing, we booked with travel republic when booking their was three different prices for the sae date I paid the most expensive thinking I would get the best room how wrong I was.
Got there and was given a room 3 floors up i would say not a luxury room either, and they wasn’t to know I was awaiting a hip operation. I saw the manager next day and to be fair he was ok and moved us to a room in the roof, there was a lift in this block we liked it was but was really hot, another downside was you banged your head on the ceiling.
I was surprised they were no cutlery we went out and bought our own and only a microwave no cooker.
The cleaner was the laziest we have come across I could spend ages on this but will just say if she worked for me she would be out of a job.
Never went in the pool so can’t comment .

We had apartment it was clean, well it was cleanish, but we only had micro wave and kettle NO COOKER, POTS OR PANS, for are apartment, them found out by another holiday family when we was leaving we was to ask the cleaner for them, the bar staff was lovely BUT THE PERSON ON RECEPTION (MAN WITH GLASSES AND BLACKISH CURLY HAIR) WAS VARY RUDE, asked if we could keep room on (manage in bar said we could for £20 (not a problem) want the following morning to pay reception to find out that we could not (but the 2 couples behind us did) unless you please them in some way you are ok.

We arrived back of midnight and we're put into an apartment on the 3rd floor although the room was number 117.There is no lift and my wife struggled to get up 3 levels of stairs we are both in our 60,s and my suffers from COPD, the next day I went to try and change the room to the other block which has a lift and speak to the Jet2 rep regarding this .
We were told there was nothing he could do that day but to go back the following day.Their were 3 of us requiring to be moved one a woman had bad knees and the other who was on the ground floor but her patio and know view and stank of dog excrement.
I went back the next day and the woman on the ground floor had been moved ,the woman with bad knees had been offered her room and refused then we were offered it which we refused and that was that ,the arrogant person on the main desk didn't help us one bit and we had to stay there for the week absolute joke of a place our holiday was spoiled and it restricted us going out due the issues,also the apartment says self catering it has a microwave that's it no cutlery or plates this is all a ploy to get you ripped off in the bar.

Very unclean. Towels that were supposed to be white but were grey (and ripped). Dirty marks on walls. A fridge with a dent in it. No lift facilities. We were put on the top floor with a newborn baby and expected to walk up 3 flights of stairs each time. Hair on bedsheets. It was so bad that we had to find alternative accommodation for the rest of our stay. Reception staff very unhelpful. We will not be staying again.

Upon arrival check in smooth and pretty quick, we paid extra for air con which we already knew about but there was 2 units in the room and they wanted money each day for each one. It was so hot that we needed both. There was no safe in room and told there wasn’t enough for all the rooms, apparently they are mobile and just bring the room (hardly safe!)
The room itself was ok, we were in room 506 and the ceilings were sloped so if you’re a taller person you will bang your head a lot.
We were only given 1 room key and were told this is management decision and under no circumstances could we have a second one
The bar manager is quite pushy with trying to sell trips and get people to upgrade to half board option, he soon got message we weren’t interested in any of his trips. We did however upgrade to half board for 5 of the days at a cost of £300 for 3 people, we found this pretty good value as the food was really nice. Moments after we’d agreed to upgrade a second room key suddenly became available for us!
The pool area is tiny and crammed with beds, definitely not a relaxing atmosphere when there during peak times of UK holidays. We mainly used the beach or the pool at always karaoke bar
All in all I’d say if you’re wanting somewhere to sleep in a good location then it’s fine but if you’re on a budget and wanting to use the ‘kitchen facilities’ then I’d give a miss because there wasn’t even a sharp enough knife to cut a tomato never mind trying to cook anything

We arrived at Isla Apartments July 2024 and on arrival it looks modern and reception was most welcoming. Everything running so smoothly it was almost too good to be true. Then upon walking into our room 107 the nightmare began, on booking a 2 bedroom we only discover they had put us into a 1 bedroom. The bed was so uncomfortable in the room we slept on the sofa that in honesty I have had more comfort in a prison cell. Being on holiday we accepted this and tried to make the best of a bad situation. Then it come to looking around and the best words to explain this was simply WOW. The tv had a remote for a whole different tv and explaining this to reception they handed us new batteries, hmmmm. ‘The remote is for a different tv’. WTF The worktop looked like someone had been cutting on it with a battle axe. It had the worst stains on it I was contemplating it had been maybe used as a work bench. The cooking facilities were non existent, you won’t get that hob you paid for rather a cheap microwave. The induction fan looked like they picked it up in a scrap yard covered in rust. The sink was stained that bad that the toilet was actually cleaner than it, a rusty stainless tap?!? Who would believe it. Our shower door was smashed and later that day I discovered it on the roof outside my balcony, well the trims of it atleast. Showering was impossible it projected in every direction apart from at the person using it. The smell every day from the kitchen was sickening we kept the door closed to try prevent it.
The slide for the kids was on for a very limited time in the day. No entertainment rather a forced bingo night every night at £5 or 200lira a ticket. They hassle you to buy the tickets and drag it out to keep yo u at the bar as long as possible, then calling the numbers you can’t even understand. The bar manager coco is so rude and obnoxious I am surprised he hasn’t been hit. He is very rude to women and children. We booked this place on a recommendation on a instagram page but to be honest I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to this hotel. I can go on all night about this place. I have below attached a few photos but this is a fraction of the problem. The one positive I can say is a few of the staff were pure and kind and I hope a nice hotel finds these guys Mehmet Mehmer and Alex they are too good of people to be dragged into this money grabbing establishment.

If you do go here pay your bill dailly otherwise they will give you extra things on your bills and have you paying double bills. Keep your receipts. Sad you need to do this but the management will do anything to extort money out you.

Charge £70 for air conditioning but only give you one key so can't use when out of room, owner does this deliberately. It's 40°, unbelievable. No safes, despite asking for 3 days, apparently there are only 8 safes for 43 rooms. Missing shower screen in bathroom, so water goes everywhere and no screen/blind on door to balcony so everyone can see in from main road and let's sun heat through, reported at reception but nothing done.

I genuinely don’t know where to begin, this is the 2nd year in a row I’ve been at the Isla suite in 2023 the staff were absolutely amazing this year they were terrible apart from Mehmet (bar) he is the nicest kindest one out of all of them. The new bar manager reminds me of penfold out of danger mouse he’s rude and obnoxious unless things are going his way and your spending money in the apartments unless you pay your bill on the day then there’s a possibility you’ll have things added on that you never bought. The room I was in was filthy when I arrived and the strong smell of sewage was enough to make my stomach turn I had to buy cleaning products to clean it. The sockets where hanging of the walls there is only 2 in a family room by the way and the light switch gives you a shock every time you switch it on. The flooring had pieces missing and I cut all my foot thankfully I had bandaids and antiseptic wipes to clean it. The night time entertainment was awful I would definitely not recommend this hotel to the stray cats that walk the streets of Marmaris it’s put me off returning to Turkey for a holiday and definitely should have an inspection done
