Beautiful country house hotel, good base for exploring Falmouth
Pros:

Stayed for a couple of nights during the Falmouth Sea Shanty festival; this was an excellent base. We walked (20 mins) or got a bus into town and there's also a train from nearby Penmere station which is the cutest little branch line. The hotel itself is splendid, very well kept, friendly staff. The pool is lovely, big windows onto the grounds, and there is also a little sauna. Breakfast was excellent, delicious kippers, good selection of traditional english breakfast foods. Our room was exactly as pictured and as I expected and was perfect for our needs. Would go back for sure.

Cons:

Nothing

Very nice hotel in a lovely setting and with helpful staff.
Pros:

We had a lovely, spacious room. The hotel is very nice and the staff were all really pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed a good meal in the restaurant.

Cons:

There were absolutely no plugs by either side of the bed.

Pros:

Room capacity nice.

Cons:

We have been waiting for more than one hour for breakfast, which is unacceptable. We still have not been given a table. We are travelling with two children, and they are hungry.

We have already complained to the reception staff, but no action has been taken. This level of service is very disappointing.

A good stay
Pros:

The staff were brilliant. Really friendly and accommodating. The food in the restaurant was good too.

Cons:

For the rate we paid, the rooms really need a bit of TLC, it’s very dated and none of the furniture matches, you can see where paintwork has been patched up but the colour doesn’t match etc.

Very disappointing
Pros:

Staff were brilliant. Evening meal was good

Cons:

Hotel needs updating, hot water in shower was uncontrollable. First room was smelly, curtains were falling for the rails, towel rail hanging off the walls.fridge did not switch off and was rusty. Blinds didn't work. Only one member of staff to cover bar and dining room during the evening.. too expensive for state of the hotel.
