The hotel position, breakfast, staff helpfulness, pool, comfortable bed, quiet.
Swimming facilities need updating, they were looking very tired. As was the hotel decor generally. Our curtains were torn and half hanging off the rail for example. Also the hot water was scalding hot.
Comfortable room, friendly staff, good breakfast.
A long walk from main car park, although we were able to park at the top twice.
Been here many times now amazing staff clean good food and drinks all in under one roof

Un endroit charmant et romantique un voyage dans le temps!!
La gentillesse du personnel avec une dédicace particulière au monsieur serveur au restaurant et petit déjeuner.
Rien
Very relaxed atmosphere, attentive and helpful staff.
The meals I had at the hotel were excellent.
Facilities were as I expected in this price range.
From my point of view, nothing.
Friendly staff, lovely comfortable room and lovely and quiet. I only stayed one night.
The bacon was undercooked at breakfast but everything else was good.
Beautiful setting, very friendly staff. Loved the pool and sauna.
Lovely gardens and well presented.
Breakfast for perfect.
There was absolutely nothing I didn’t like. The hotel was a little tired and would probably benefit an update however I had a fantastic weekend and that did not bother me at all.
The 2 nights stay at this lovely hotel was more than we expected, from the very welcoming staff, the room was bigger and very well situated.
We dined in for the 2 nights as the food was delicious, and very reasonably priced.
A lovely pool, sauna, jacuzzi to relax after a walk down to the town. It was approximately 3 miles there and back, very steep ups and downs, so not suitable for people who struggle when walking.
This was our first visit to the Penmere, and it won't be our last, so a big thank you to all staff for making our stay so nice.
The only thing which wasn't a problem, is that there was nothing to hang on the door to tell the staff that we didn't want to be disturbed.
Due to my health issues, I always need a rest in the afternoon, I had the housekeeper knock the door, then an hour later the man came to check the fire alarm, which to both of them I asked to come later.
Großes Zimmer, großes Badezimmer, bequeme saubere Betten.
Schönes Hauptgebäude (Rezeption, Speisesaal, Bar)
Ruhige Lage
Ausreichend Parkplätze
Lovely staff, beautiful grounds, comfy bed.
Little bit of noise from other rooms.
Convenient for visiting other places in Cornwall, not too far from the sea!
Nothing it’s lovely!
Good
Nothing
Friendly staff. The historic building and grounds.
A2B taxi service QR code in reception helped as we were new to the area. Direct access to harbour for restaurant and shopping.
Limited WiFi in the room, despite being ground floor and nearest to reception (only had signal in bathroom or bedroom corner). Very very small room and tiny shower cubicle (couldn't easily bend down to access shampoo bottles and no shower shelf as alternative). Breakfast buffet didnt "refill" quickly, meaning limited options available when we joined midway through service. No heating or cooling options in the room, so after the shower was used, the small room became stifling and very uncomfortable to stay in. Room was also much smaller than expected for the price paid.
Reception was staffed and helpful on arrival, had us checked in swiftly with all the info we needed. The room was clean and bed, pillows, sheets were a good quality. Bathroom again was clean and functional (shower in my room was a little tight fit - but I am a little on the well fed side), stocked with clean towels, also shampoo and soaps provided. Room had kettle and usual assorted tea's and biscuits etc. The evening meal was excellent, I had the sirloin (medium) and it was spot-on. Looking round the pleasant dining area I could see everyone was content with the offerings they had received. Waiter was excellent and engaged. The breakfast buffet is highly recommended - (I'm a bacon - sausage - toast kind of guy) and there was over options available (my son had the salmon and scrambled eggs). While we were there we had a s swim (water warm) and sauna - which was great after a long drive coming to see the universities.
I'd say this is more a few action points: Remove/replace the lockers in the male changing area's. Tighten up a few fittings in the bathrooms e.g. toilet paper holder fell off, toilet seat was a groin chopper - needs soft close or adjusting. I suggest you could also offer cans of coke/lemonade at the bar as one of my drinks was poured from a bottle of fizz and was on the flat side (very minor but a bug bear of mine lol when paying for doubles!). - These are all very minor - just a few tweaks in my opinion and I would definitely stay here again.
