The leisure facilities were good and the lounge areas were handy . The staff were very friendly and helpful
The room was a little small and very dated . The breakfast was ok . We didn’t eat dinner there as it was a bit pricey
Lovely welcoming hotel. Great for walking SWC path. Excellent staff, very relaxing surrounds, great food.
All good, we were able to get a fan from the lovely reception staff.
A very elegant building with an interesting history. There is a wonderful view from the terrace. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. We liked the feeling of being in a traditional hotel with all the values that entails. We stayed in one of the cheaper rooms, but it certainly did not feel like it.
Breakfast in the dining room was excellent. It was a buffet style breakfast, but way better than any other buffet breakfasts we have tried. Any extra items not on the buffet were cooked to order.
Will definitely come again.
We couldn't find fault with anything.
The staff were lovely - there was a new girl working there, i think she had only been there a couple of weeks. She is a real asset; easy to talk to and obviously very hard working
Hotel stands in beautiful grounds
Staff very friendly
Food was good
Nothing
Functional room
Terrible breakfast
Was a great location
I struggled to get in and out of the bath as was a bit high for me - should have requested an accessible room.
location, quietness, staff
my west facing room was far too hot in the afternoon/evening - could have done with a fan or air conditioning
Nice room bar and lounge
No water in room No form of food on offer between 9am till 6.30 am and you are charged £10.00 for bringing in food
The hotel and room was very comfortable and homely. It was in a quiet location and only a short drive into the town centre. The pool and leisure facilities were great and it was also good to watch some of the world cup matches in the hotel bar. The food was very good indeed, lovely breakfasts. But most of all, I'd like to commend the staff for their friendliness and competence. Thanks for a lovely stay.
Very clean and friendly staff
Sehr ruhige Lage und sehr freundliches Personal. Sehr schöne Anlage
Viele Angebote wie Fitness und Schwimmbad
Für Brotauswahl sehr wenig und würde auch nicht nachgefüllt.
Dated and nothing special about any of it
Stayed for a couple of nights during the Falmouth Sea Shanty festival; this was an excellent base. We walked (20 mins) or got a bus into town and there's also a train from nearby Penmere station which is the cutest little branch line. The hotel itself is splendid, very well kept, friendly staff. The pool is lovely, big windows onto the grounds, and there is also a little sauna. Breakfast was excellent, delicious kippers, good selection of traditional english breakfast foods. Our room was exactly as pictured and as I expected and was perfect for our needs. Would go back for sure.
