Staff very friendly en helpful.
Love the old history of hotel
Staff were helpful, and the room and facilities were clean
Restaurant, service , location history displayed
Pub noise until late
Friendly staff and clean and tidy rooms
Having to unlock doors before getting to my room
Windows won't open
No milk
Beds were uncomfortable
Tv wouldn't go
No aircond
Not worth the price to stay the night,
Place needs more maintenance.
fantastic showers
broken window so could not air room as I could not keep it open. one of the duty managers needs to reconsider her employment. NO staff working during checkout so unable to recovery key security if paid cash. would never stay again.. Now I understand why a couple locals say you do not go here if you want service.. it's a shame as there are some nice staff and the upgrades look promising
The Hotel is rumored to be haunted. I like that aspect and was informed of the resident ghosts room. Next time I can book to stay in that room. Everything I needed to stay one night was in the room. I shared toilets but that meant the cost was low.
The bed was very old and the springs were very squeaky. But this did add to the oldness and character of a hotel built in the 1840s. The only other "bad" thing is that you have the music and bar noise until 1230am on a Friday and Saturday night but you are told about this in the booking. I just took a headphone headband to cancel some of the noise out.
The hotel is historic and old, nice bathrooms.
Close to town.
The showers were terrible! Whilst having a shower the water filled up the entire enclosure I was showering in. I believe there are serious drainage faults on how the showers were installed. The drainoff angle is very wrong and needs to be rectified immediately! I also noticed this the last time I stayed there, please fix this asap
Wasnt open for Breakfast
TV wasnt working, no air-conditioning or fans, the window to the bedroom was nailed shut and could not be opened, the bed was rock hard, had to buy a mattress protector to make usable, the mattress was stained due to no mattress protector. The ensuite had cobwebs and spiders all around the windows, there was and still is a dead bird outside the ensuite window,
I wasnt expecting a palace as pub accommodation, however the lack of some simple care and attention has dropped the bar substantially at the Kentish.
