Castlereagh Summer House

There was no towel ready when we came and it took them 30 minutes+ to get even though we ask two times and they said 2 minutes. We ordered tea to the room which was also very slow. Seems like they forgot we came. Otherwise, nice place with a beautiful view. Last thing, google maps didnt show right direction. When we called them they knew that it show a wrong route, so we (our driver) had a 45 minutes detour.

The surrounding was really beautiful but the hotel was a disaster. It was moulde in the hotel rooms and the staff was not helpful at all. The rooms was not cleaned since they only have one key to the room. It was high music every night. I would not recommend anybody to stay here.

The managing staff felt very unprofessional when we arrived. They didnt find our booking at first, but we got a room with four beds for the first night, and they then asked us to change room for the other three days - which we refused with all our luggage and small kid. Luckily they accepted it but on the cost of other tourists arrival the day after whose room we had taken. I have no idea what happend to them afterwards.

The young guys handling the service are very kind, although they dont understand english and I felt so bad when I didnt get what I ordered - at least once every day. The food arrived 1 hour after our order and were cold (and wrong).

The rooms were very noisy and someone had a party every night starting already at 14:00 (no isolation).

The rooms never got cleaned (they claim to have it cleaned every day but we had to ASK for it) to get rid of dead cockroaches that we had killed (4 of them during the first night). The bathroom was not cleaned upon arrival and the soap was used (its a hand soap, not with a pump) which felt disgusting. The bathroom of the room below us was just separated by a small plank, so we could hear them doing their needs. The sink only had warm water, the shower had no pressure and there was a window in the bathroom that gave the apartments on the other side a full nice view of whoever showered in our room.

The view is fantastic, and also the Tuck-tuck driver Rada who was very kind and gave us a good experience in this area.

Jätte mysigt hotell, vill man ha lugn och ro och bo lite utanför allt är det här perfekt. Personalen är väldigt hjälpsamma med att boka utflykter åt dig, vi gjorde Adam’s peak som ligger ca 1h från hotellet och dem ordnade tuktuk åt oss dit och även transfer till flygplatsen.
