Hansar Samui Resort & Spa

One of the highlights of this hotel is the fact that the rooms are all sea facing with stunning views of the hotel pool and private beach, as opposed to the neighbouring hotels where the rooms are housed in buildings perpendicular to the beach. The modern rust coloured architecture is elegant. The rooms are tastefully fitted and comfortable. The huge walk-in shower is a highlight and above all the balcony with sea view is stunning. Breakfast is very good with western and Asian choices. The pancake and sticky rice station is a highlight. Kudos Housekeeping: they always managed to clean the room while we were away at breakfast.
The only negative issue was the loud music at breakfast and even worse the loud and out of tune singing from the beach restaurant performing the same cover songs night after night. It became really intolerable when there were 2 different singers: the female on the left and the male on the right at the bar - each singing different songs. Imagine having 2 loudspeakers in your room each playing different music. A peaceful night on the balcony wasn’t possible.

Lovely atmosphere. The food and entertainment was wonderful. Staff were lovely and Kwan was amazing with her service.

My wife and live in the Thai countryside and have stayed at Hansar Koh Samui, multiple times, over 10 years ago. We were excited to revisit and meet up with our friends from the U.S. who were visiting Thailand for the first time. The hotel facilities are still very nice and staff are pleasant and generally accommodating. Perfect location near Fisherman's Wharf while at the end of the promenade, so noise is minimal. Infinity pool is great with beachfront views. Unfortunately, the pool service staff were less than proficient. Numerous, repeated requests for water which should have been offered with towels when we picked our loungers, along with inattentive, slow service was a disappointment. Our remembrance of one pool guy in particular (no longer there) was the service highlight of our previous visits. Eventually, when asked, the pool staff presented a "call" button however too late in the process and there were no routine checkbacks after service requests. We also found that service staff at breakfast, although pleasant, were not anticipatory enough and as helpful as one would expect at 3+, 4 star hotel. Room comfort, once you figure things out, (lights & a/c) housekeeping, spa, front desk, and other staff are excellent. Nothing is a bother as we had difficulty with ThaiTV channels reception which was resolved quickly. Breakfast, after you get a lay of the land, is adequate though not impressive. Even with a Thai wife who also speaks fluent English, communication with breakfast service staff was ineffectual at time. TIT (This is Thailand)

Hansar is a beautiful hotel which we would certainly, highly recommend and return to. Just a few reminders to staff, especially pool & dining, about higher services standards would greatly improve the overall experience.

The place great , staff outstanding but the GYM IS VERY VERY VERY OLD. I hope you will give importance to improving the gym and new equipment because it is very old and not safe anymore. The is very small and the equipment is very old. I hope the gym is in good condition and at least the guests have a reason to stay longer at the hotel.

We’ve stayed at the Hansar many times over the years. This was our first visit back since 2017 and it is as good as ever. Location cannot be beaten. So nice to wander down to the night market (best shopping!) many restaurants, massages all within a short walk. It’s not too far from the airport. The free yoga in the morning is so good in a beautiful room overlooking the sea. Plenty of sun lounges for everyone. The beach is very nice with bean bags and sun lounges. It is a peaceful haven even over the busy Christmas period. We’ll be back!

Excellent hotel, in a great location. Everything was perfect. The breakfast is excellent and the prices at the bar and restaurants are not expensive.

5 star in every way. We were looked after beautifully- nothing was too much trouble & the
staff were friendly & warm.
Restaurant was wonderful - lunches & dinner in particular were delicious. We did the cooking class which was great fun also.
Lots of great offers at the hotel (from 2 for 1 massages & extra cash when prepay for purchases in hotel) - making it great value - perfect for us as the hotel was our favourite part of the village.
Lots of fabulous surprise touches, from free ice cream around the pool to little chocolates in the room & endless supplies of bottled water (not environmentally friendly, but the norm in Thailand).
The hotel and grounds are beautifully looked after.
I generally like to give a list of pros & cons, but there are no cons. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough.

We had a really lovely stay at Hansar Koh Samui. The service throughout was consistently good and the hotel's beachfront location was both convenient and beautiful, being right on the sand made for a perfect setting.

We really enjoyed the restaurants and the beach bar was a great spot. We hosted our New Year's dinner at the hotel and it was a fantastic evening, the food was great and the service was excellent throughout.

A special mention to Kwan, who was our host and made sure we were well taken care of during our stay. Her attention really enhanced our experience.

Overall, a really nice beachfront hotel with excellent dining and attentive service. We'd happily recommend it and would love to return.

We did the cooking class there. Open kitchen, sea view. Booked two days in advance, price was quite convenient compare to others, service from the very beginning was great, chef and staff were very professional and friendly. Highly recommend to book this experience in Hansar Samui.

We attended a New Year’s Event which was a set menu with wine pairing and and pre dinner drinks one hour prior to dinner with entertainment and fireworks and disco on the beach after midnight. We were hosted so professionally and with empathy by the staff MP and Awan leaving us with an everlasting awesome memory which we will be forever grateful for Thank You xxx

Excellent all round. Wonderful accommodation, excellent location and fantastic service. Everyone was so warm and friendly. Kwan and A at the front of house were exceptional in ensuring everything that needed to happen went smoothly.

The breakfast was average but as we are not so worried about breakfast it was of no concern to us.
The room was made up twice a day which is quite unusual today even in 5 star hotels.

Highly recommended- everyone will love the big pool, beach bar area and the lovely cabanas if you are looking for more shade.

The hotel is in a prime location right in front of the ocean. It’s a cozy boutique-style property with a nice pool. Our room was incredibly spacious with a large balcony overlooking the sea. I loved everything about it, especially the modern shower. I slept very well and had the best holiday ever.

Once you step outside, there are plenty of shops so you’ll never get bored. I noticed many Western tourists around. The staff were very kind, though you'll need to speak English as Japanese is hardly understood. I wouldn’t recommend visiting during the off-season as the weather isn't great, but the yoga facilities were a lovely bonus!

We booked our Christmas Eve Meat Lover Menu with Wine Pairing cooked and served on the beach with entertainment and fire show and had a totally amazing experience which totally exceeded our expections thanks to Kwan an Mp who made sure our evening was delivered as promised so massive thank for amazing service 😀 🙌 👍 So good we have also booked our New Years Meal and Entertainment straight away.

Quiet hotel in realy good location, halpful and friendly stuff with high quality of service. We stayed for 5 nights and had an amazing time.
The rooms are big and comfortable and got clean every day.

Our second time staying at Hansar. Amazing hotel, food and staff. The rooms and the pool area are beautiful as well as the location.

Hansar have improved their service with the new app! Everything you need can be ordered through the app, the pool is the best one we have had from the 4, 5 star hotels we visited. The breakfast staff are fast, efficient and friendly! The proximity to the Fisherman’s village market and numerous restaurants make it a winner!

I had the best hotel experience of my life staying at Hansar, from the moment I arrived, it was like stepping in to paradise. The location is incredible, it’s right in the heart of Fisherman’s Village, but it feels like its own private island. Everything you could want is in walking distance (make sure to go to the fisherman’s village night market!). The rooms are breathtaking - I had a sea view room, and it’s one of the best views I’ve ever had in a hotel! The bed was incredibly comfy, and huge, and the outdoor terrace was stunning. Also maybe my favourite bit about the room was the massive shower!

The beach was beautifully well kept, as was the pool - and the breakfasts was one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a hotel (the mango sticky rice was particularly good!).

But what made my stay better than anything was the staff. Every member of staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, always asking what I was up to and how I’m getting on at Hansar. A big shoutout to Kwan who made my stay perfection - I was there by myself and she even offered to join me in the evening to have some company! No ask was too big for the staff - they did everything with elegance, grace and a big smile. I already can’t wait to come back!

All the staff were so friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.
