I was a lone traveller. 1 night only. Not interested in bells and whistles. No great amount of time in room. My room was compact and clean. The bed was metal framed and could do with a new mattress. Bedding and towels spotless. Varnished floors. Clean, even under the bed. Why do I know that? Final room sweep.
The addition of the fan was very much appreciated.
Strict 2 p.m. check-in, but storage available.
Loved the location. Close to train station. Loads of eating options available.
Quiet. Absolutely no noise from other residents.
24hr reception.
The fan.

Price
Nothing
With this heatwave, the rooms are boiling hot. I have asked for a fan or anything but the reception was useless, I don't recommend it at all.
And it should be called -4 star instead
Location and ease of use
The bed and the shower
Läget är det enda som är bra med detta boende!
Allt var nedgånget. Personalen gjorde inget för att vara tillmötesgående. Inget rum att låsa in bagage när rummet inte var tillgängligt. Fjädrarna i sängen gjorde ont i ryggen. Toaletten hade smuts och hår. Ingen luftkonditionering. På natten gick brandlarmet och personalen visste inte hur de skulle hantera allt eller stänga av larmet, vi fick höra det höga ljudet i 1 timma mitt i natten!!! Jag rekommenderar ingen att bo här!
This place is a mess. Looks nothing like the pictures on the internet. Room had flies, no AC and bed was extremely unconfortable. Would advisr anyone to stay from this hotel
Everything
Staff, location
It was so bad and beyond basic we left and checked out after an hour and found another hotel. This is the first time in my 42 years that I did this as normally im happy just for somewhere to lay my head, but that was too basic and looked grimy specially the bathroom area.
Location to Paddington .and local facilities.
24hr manned reception.
Hot water quick to get to en-suite shower
Fan in room did not work.
No tea / coffee making facilities in room, nor vending machines in reception
So close to Hyde Park. And near to Paddington station.
Was on the top floor, and struggled with stairs.
The hotel is very well located and the staff is very nice.
The room was VERY small (probably 150cm wide). The bed wasn't comfortable and very small (smaller than a regular single bed). The bathroom wasn't perfectly clean and there were stains on the floor and walls.
My bedroom door was directly in the stairs so I could here everyone one going in and out. Not very well isolated as I felt like the outdoor roadwork was in the room.
It's ok for a short stay if you're just in the room to sleep.
Not much woke on a sunday am by workman
Small room for 3 persons. Old furniture, needs replacing. Bed , cheap soft mattress
Location for British summer time festival at Hyde park is excellent , staff very friendly , great value for money , will stay again and would recommend
The location was good and an easy check in process for quickness as I had a meeting to get to and I just dropped my bags off.
The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night due to another guest smoking. The staff did handle that well.
Once they knew there was no fire we were told we go back inside even with the alarm still going off.
Solid alarm system as it work me up promptly.
The room is not really private.
There’s literally windows in the door with no curtain or privacy really.
It’s frosted glass but you can still see shadows and it means there’s constant light coming from the hall.
Additionally it’s the first room as you go upstairs so everyone walks past. Noise doesn’t bother me. But not having the solid full door did make me feel unsafe/exposed.
It felt more a room that’s mean for staff to have a nap in their breaks. The room doesn’t have a number on the door either it looked like it was meant to go to a cupboard or a corridor.
I’ve attached photos of the door of the room from bottom of the stairs from reception and a photo of what it looks like from the inside.
Additionally, it should be explicitly listed as no shower. I didn’t look at the other rooms so wasn’t aware that a shower had to be listed. It was assumed this facility would be included even in a shared shower capacity. Like many other hotels they explicitly say in brackets no shower or shared shower this would be useful to prevent confusion.
Even booking.com AI tool said.
“The room description does not specify bathroom amenities, including a shower. However, most hotel rooms typically include a shower.”
My main issue is the window in the door. It’s a weird set up.
Additionally where the desk is there’s a door to the outside. And that door does have a fire door sticker on so surely it should not be blocked by the desk?
I’d say realistically paying £30/35 makes sense for the room. But anymore just find somewhere else e.g at this point a capsule hotel for the same price is what I’d do next time as at least that’s modern, has aircon and showering facilities unlike here.
