Immer noch das schönste Zimmer in Hamburg, aber der Service kann nicht mithalten

Das schönste Hotelzimmer in Hamburg

Cons:

Der Service ist insgesamt nicht so gut, wie man es für den hohen Preis erwarten dürfte! Da steht einfach mal ein Mitarbeiter im Zimmer vor dem Bett (!), die Information über das bezahlte Frühstück werden nicht an die Buffetmitarbeiter weitergegeben, und bei der Bar steht man locker mal fünf Minuten und wartet, bis man endlich einen Tisch angeboten bekommt... das war fast schon ein bisschen zum Fremdschämen, so eine herausragende Örtlichkeit, und dann so so ein schwacher Service :-(

Die Lage ist natürlich genial. Wir waren im Konzert und konnten ohne Jacke zum Konzert Eingang gehen. Der Blick aus den Fenster war einmalig.

Cons:

Beim Frühstück war es sehr voll, aber man hat nett bemüht, alles zu organisieren und sortieren.

Hier bezahlt man nur die Aussicht
Pros:

Das Westin in Hamburg befindet sich direkt in der Elbphilharmonie. Das und die grandiose Aussicht entschuldigt wohl den sehr sehr hohen Zimmerpreis.
Der Service und die Zimmerausstattung sind keine 5 Sterne wert.
Das Personal war zwar freundlich, mehr aber auch nicht. Zwei Beispiele dazu:
- unser Zimmer war beim Einchecken noch nicht fertig (kein Problem, wir waren eh zu früh vor Ort). Es wurde uns angeboten uns anzurufen wenn das Zimmer bezugsfertig sei. Leider kam dieser Anruf nie. Etwas selbst vorzuschlagen und dann nicht zu machen… Sorry nein!
- als ich nachgefragt habe wie denn die Temperatur des Pools wäre, bekam ich ein „das kann ich Ihnen gar nicht sagen“ als Antwort. Es wäre schön gewesen, hätte man mir angeboten das in Erfahrung zu bringen und sich bei mir zu melden. . DAS wäre nämlich 5 Sterne Service.
Was aber das absolute Highlight war, ist der Ausblick! Dieser entschädigt tatsächlich für einiges! Hamburg bei Nacht ist wunderschön, da braucht man keinen Fernseher mehr!

Als Tip: man muss schon mindestens zwei Nächte buchen, damit man diese Aussicht auch wirklich voll genießen kann. Wir waren aus diesem Grund einen Tag quasi nur auf dem Zimmer:-)

Fazit: überteuert, KEINE 5 Sterne, aber einmal im Leben sehr zu empfehlen.

Cons:

Die Rezeption, das wirklich sehr lange Warten beim Check in (45 Minuten). Es sollen die langsamen Computer daran Schuld sein. Aha.
