They took the reservation, then contacted me 2 days before the stay & informed me
“their system is down down for 6 month”
I then had limited options (hotels) in the area, but fortunately found a place for my family to stay.

Pros:

It was closed for renovation. You either knew or should have known. I had the res and confirmation. Don't expect to be charged BUT should be compensated for the inconvenience by you or Hatfield. I had to stay 32 miles away from the event I attended.
