Nice enough place, but I’ve experienced nicer for the same or less money.

The pool was nice. The food was good, but expensive.

Cons:

The place was a little dated and starting to be a bit run down. The beach had tons of jellyfish and sea urchins. There was a lack of guard rails at the stairs going into the pool.

Cons:

Kamer niet in hotel zelf maar ergens in een gebouw achteraf. Hadden een tijdje geen water voor douchen en wc e.d. niet echt schoon en maar 2 handdoeken op kamer voor 2 personen. Prijs/ kwaliteitverhouding niet in verhouding.

Cons:

We encountered several room and facility issues during our stay, as our experience did not match what was advertised during our booking.
1. Room 581 shower was not functioning properly with only very small amount of water coming out, handwashing area was clogged, toilet water kept flushing continuously which was disturbing.
2. When i booked indicated free meals as part of genius member level 2 however upon check-in, we were informed that the meals were not part of the package
3. Inflatable pool, which was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel, was not accessible for booking.com reservations only available for direct to Solea booking. During booking, it only stated that its unavailable due to maintenance last Sep17. During our stay, we noticed that its actually available but only who booked directly through hotel’s apps not through Booking.com. This condition was not disclosed the booking process and very misleading.

Pros:

The breakfast was incredible. Easily worth the extra upcharge on the room. I love how friendly and courteous the staff is and how everyone was always asking if we needed anything.

Cons:

The furniture in the smoking area could use some repairs, but it's not a major inconvenience.

Overall, my stay at the Solea Mactan Resort was really excellent.
Pros:

Well, first and foremost, I appreciated the foods that were served to us during our breakfast, and my children enjoyed the free access provided by Happy Pebbles. The pool was really clean and spacious. Staff are really accommodating, so I flew my drone in the facilities, and the staff, especially the front desk, assisted me with the permission slip.

I loved the food and the juice were amazing and the rooms and the bathroom really clean

Cons:

You need a ticket for everything when it comes to the fun with the pool at you need a life jacket to the floating thing at the pool but the water is not deep

The hotel room was too small for its price but nice food.
Pros:

Staffs were so friendly, tricycle drivers outside were honest for the fare amount.

Cons:

During our stay, only one elevator was working. It was taking too long for us to wait for the working elevator so we had to take the stairs going down and up.

Pros:

The resort has a lot to offer with beach access & all the pools. The staff was very professional & helpful.

Cons:

The resort had some needed repairs to do. The roof over the dining area needed to be replaced in some areas & the men's bathroom had 2 of the 3 toilets non functioning by the time we left.

Over all, it was okay.
Pros:

I like the place and the acitvity pools. My son enjoyed those. Also I requested a simple Happy Birthday greeting for my son and they put up welcome balloons and followed it up with a small piece of cake.

Cons:

While the resort has much to offer, our check-in experience was quite disappointing. Due to our flight schedule, we arrived at 11:30 AM hoping for an early check-in. While I understand the official time is 3:00 PM, we ended up waiting in the lobby and restaurant until 2:30 PM.

Given that checkout is at 11:00 AM, a 4-hour turnaround felt excessive, especially as we had to constantly follow up with the front desk for updates. It was a long, exhausting wait that resulted in my son becoming very distressed and crying by the time we finally got our key. I suggest the management look into better prioritizing room readiness for early arrivals or providing clearer communication so guests aren't left wondering for hours.

Another comment, the beach is not that nice and when we try to go there to kayak, there were no available kayak. They only have probably 3. To a facility that big, they should add more. We ended up not staying at the beach.
