Lovely clean hotel staff was amazing and food was gorgeous. Highly recommended i would stay again. Very happy customer x
We stayed here due to the price, nearby parking and central location. Ideally located to visit coop live and Ethiad stadium. Within easy walking distance of the station, shops, bars and restaurants. Very friendly staff and clean, comfortable rooms.
Perfect location and I got this at an excellent price for the time of year.
The room was clean and I had a premium room on the higher floor . I booked this thinking being higher up may reduce the noise. Public service announcement- it does not. The street is so noisy (not unexpected due to location), however the windows are so poor, I got up several times to check rhey were not open. Many other city centre hotels have sound proofing so im not sure why this was not the case here.
Coffee pod machine was really poor quality with no instructions or guide as to what the coffees were and no snack as mentioned on the website.
Noise from inside hotel was minimal, it was clean and staff were friendly. Im not sure this outweighs the poor night sleep though.
I stayed at this hotel for one night, the staff were helpful friendly and polite, my room was spacious and cosy, heated to a comfortable temperature and clean bedding and towels, the room had been well cleaned.
I had a full English breakfast in the morning which was cooked to a high standard and was nice and hot, the coffee was very good.
The only reason this is not 5 star is the noise from the busy road outside.
Location was great for both train stations the Arndale and Etihad Stadium.
I got a good price of £30 by booking early but I would shop around when the price goes over £60. I would stay again at the right price.
Enjoyed my stay due to the great staff, cleanliness and updated hotel and the location.I would stay here again. Great value for the price.
Large room. Food wasn't that good. People very friendly, especially joy at breakfast who was so helpful, hard working and extremely friendly.
Had a fabulous time staying at Travelodge Ancoats 27.12.25. Every staff member we came across was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again as exceeded expectations. Had a great time in the bar with other residents after midnight .Big shout out for Michael who served us and dealt with every eventuality with charm and good humour. Impressive! 👍❤️
I have stayed at plenty of Travelodge’s and have to say that this is the best one, the staff were excellent, especially Meeks and Alessio who welcomed us on arrival and were terrific throughout our stay, very friendly and attentive. This hotel has a really friendly vibe and that’s a credit to the staff
Nice hotel. Staff were friendly & helpful. We stayed on the top floor in a standard room plus. However apart from the wifi, coffee machine & Kit Kats ( which were replaced every day), there was no difference to a basic Travelodge room. In fact we had a smaller TV than we had when staying in a basic Travelodge. The room was not the best shape but it was warm & the bed was comfy. I found the shower room cold & could have done with a heated towel rail. The shower was poor with not much water flow but it served its purpose.
The hotel was an easy walk to the town centre & train station.
joy and ellain were great lovely hotel great location would stay again close to all shopping and christmas market.....
Meeks and Daiana were an absolute delight! I will definitely be back.
Thank you so much great hotel I would definitely recommend thank you again.
See you very soon. Perfect spot to explore Ancoats in Manchester which has so much to offer, so close to everything too!
Warm welcome, nice clean big room! The lady on the bar barberette fantastic customer service also big shout out to the manager Danielle so helpful was a pleasure to be served by them both.
Meeks greeted us at check in and was amazing. She was friendly and accommodating. Made our stay an enjoyable one! Will stay again.
I always enjoy staying here. The location is perfect—close to the train station and just a 10-minute walk from the hotel, which is also near the NQ area. The recent refurbishment has made a big difference, and the bar now feels much more relaxing. The staff are always helpful and consistently go out of their way to make my stay as smooth as possible.
Nice hotel, basic rooms, but everything you need and clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful, especially Joy on the breakfast shift., and the lady on reception. Breakfast was ok, with reasonable choices. Location was very good, close to everything. Would stay again.
No hairdryer in room… the room looked nice, freshly painted, but lacks basic amenities!! No phone to call reception either… I mean it’s 2025 not 1905!!! WTF
My stay at the Travelodge Manchester Ancoats was fantastic. The staff went above and beyond to help me in every way and the food on both nights was delicious. Rooms were big, clean, and value for money. As a woman traveling alone it was great to have such helpful and caring staff. Big shout out to Meeks, Carla, and Daniela.
We stayed here and were impressed. The staff were great and the room was excellent. They made a bit of a fuss of my son as it's his birthday and gave me a gift of sweets which he loved. I thought this was a nice gesture. One draw back of the hotel, the road noise is very loud all night long with traffic and loud passes by. I know it's a city location but this was very loud. That's the only negative.
The hotel is in Manchester's northern quarter - we booked it as it was the cheapest option and was still walkable to everywhere we needed to be... that said the area was incredible! The northern quarter hosts all the independent shops and bars, we actually enjoyed exploring this part of central Manchester the most.
It was a reasonable walk (even with children) to central Manchester and the science museum, as well as all the bars, shops and restaurants.
The breakfast wasn't good - although I will concede, when you stay as a family and kids eat for £1 it's still compelling! As an adult/couple staying, I would recommend one of the plentiful local cafes.
Visited this Travelodge while on a trip in Manchester. On arrival the staff are so friendly and welcoming willing to go above and beyond for guests. Given a room on the top floor very quiet, fabulous refurbished rooms bright and refreshing colours. Room was spacious good sized TV and bathroom with a bath. Near to Piccadilly Gardens also perfect for tram links. Plenty of restaurants around for food too.
