Travelodge Manchester Salford Quays

We stayed for 3 nights over Christmas whilst visiting family nearby. Very friendly and welcoming staff made it feel like a proper holiday. A special mention to Izzy and Kevin at reception.

Pros: 5 mins away from buses and trams into the city, professional, smiling staff, always ready to help whenever they see a guest at reception; good, spacious room, comfy bed and noise levels very low (inside/outside hotel); there's a Tesco express less than 2 mins away open till midnight, so that's a major convenience. Other take-away and minimarket options are within a 5-7 mins' walk. Hotel, restaurant and bar decor is coloured, cosy, a nice spot to be relaxing/eating/drinking into.
Cons: one thing I didn't like is being charged an extra £3.50 for 24 wifi access. It should be included in room price at the time of booking, it's a modern basic necessity, come on.

Work brings me to Manchester at least twice monthly for 3-4 nights at a time, so this Travelodge has become something of a home from home for me. I have the option to stay elsewhere but never take it as the team at Salford Quays always make me feel so welcome, and I’ve yet to have a bad stay.

And as someone who absolutely hates mornings myself, it’s always nice to be greeted by Izzy’s cheerfulness.

Great team, great location. Highly recommended.

amazing atmosphere! extremely welcoming staff and a fantastic stay overrall. Room was spotless when we stepped foot into it, it’s very good value for money. It was really peaceful at night but during the day it was a good level of volume. nobody was disrespectful towards people potentially sleeping. the amenities were wonderful, the bar in the evening was lively and the breakfast was delicious and well priced.

Mike and Jane were very helpful at breakfast, friendly and offered lots of help. Would definitely come again. Hotel was clean, tidy and comfortable!

What a great travelodge, handy for trams into the city, and in a great position for Old Trafford and Media City.

Izzy on reception was lovely and very helpful. Check in and check out was very simple. Room was nice and clean. All good. Not far from Salford quays

Stayed at this Travelodge again after experiencing it for the first time back in June 2025 and couldn't fault it again. Was checked in by the Hotel Supervisor on arrival and was greeted by Izzy for breakfast every morning and sorted any problem/issue that i had. The room was lovely, everything that i needed for my stay and would very much happily go back to this Travelodge again.

Lovely staff - especially Izzy who is always helpful and cheerful. She’s the best travel lodge staff in the country! IMHO

Lovely hotel, very well kept and run. Parking although expensive is close to the hotel which was a big bonus. Staff were all so lovely, welcoming and helpful so thankyou all for a lovely stay.

This place was spotless and the service was great. Staff were very helpful, respectful and cheerful, i found them to be accommodating overall.

Upon entering room smelt of smoke , full family don’t smoke or vape so was really strong, then on morning went for shower and shower was broke had to use a different room which delayed all our plans for rest of day avoid at all costs, have the cheek to refund the price of 2 breakfasts which btw was horrible how can you get an English breakfast wrong then to top it off the both coffee machines didn’t work avoid this hotel att all costs

Nice warm rooms with friendly staff. Izzy was a cheerful staff member and made sure we got looked after. This place is a lot better than the Premier Inn in Salford Quays!

Staff were brilliant and kind, from the nice young blond lady checking us in, to Izzy checking us out!! Fantastic. Had dinner and breakfast, food was great on both occasions. Rooms. Was clean albeit a few stains on the carpet, but for a cheep one night stay ut was great.

Hotel was clean highly recommended rooms decent size toilet was small staff super friendly and very helpful would rebook again

Only booked 2 weeks ago to attend a family funeral, a family of 8 we had 3 rooms, 2 family rooms and 1 double, the rooms were clean and spacious, we had breakfast on both mornings which had loads of choice, no complaints about noise from the floor with the family rooms but the floor with the double room on where a large party of teenagers on a school trip they were running g up and down corridor knocking on doors till early hours.

We stayed in this Hotel lots of times for the past few months. Most of the staff here were very nice! Specially mention here is Kevin, standing out brilliantly, he is very helpful, warmth, patience, professional and indeed hospitable, and indeed went for an extra mile for us, he is a credit to this hotel and that's made this place so special, recommended.

overall everything is fine, most staff are quite nice but unfortunately we came across
one definitely need to mention here is Omar (think is the manager)not been very impressed, miserable not friendly, and the way he approach you and attitude and never mind about the friendliness or politeness that he should have at least. you just don’t feel comfortable or welcome being there as a guest with him there! should be giving more training on him to learn the very basic things in working in a hotel business!
