Management was vey unkind. Staff were nice.
Pros:

Their food was very good

Cons:

Guests are treated just as numbers. They are too busy to care for any special request and even when they promised to rectify an issue. They never did.

Unexpected Let Down
Pros:

The welcome was great. Guy helping us was very friendly.

Cons:

Stolen credit card when we paid using the American system of sliding a card with the bill. If the staff didn't steal the card, then the way it was handled afterwards was suspicious. When we checked in we were told there are cameras throughout the hotel, but when the card disappeared we were refused footage, and no help was even given to quickly cancel the international card. My guests were from several countries and that was their first bad experience of South Africa. I thought as a local I would visit the restaurant often, but after that incident, I will never recommend any of my clients to stay there. And I wouldn't enjoy a meal there.

Very impersonal. I booked for two people and the room seemed set out for one - tea/coffee supplies sufficient for one, one towel set out (but the other towel was there)

A perfect overnight stay, for our family, in the heart of Johannesburg.
Pros:

Convenient location, with a great family room. Restaurant with excellent breakfast & dinner service.

Relaxing Environment. Safe. Home-i. Delicious food. Friendly staff.
Pros:

The staff are amazing and friendly!
The service is 10/10.
The food was delicious with huge compliments to the Chefs.
The room was so comfortable and clean.
It was a good and safe 3min walk into the main montecasino facilities.
As a solo traveller you felt safe because you could see the security everywhere in the hotel and around the whole monte area.

Cons:

Nothing. It was AMAZING!
