Cons:

La chambre sentait mauvais et était sale, surtout la salle de bain : baignoire sale et abîmée, serviette avec des poils et boule de cheveux retrouvée sous les serviettes de l’étagère…
La fenêtre est un simple vitrage très ancien, on entendait tout ce qui se passait à l’extérieur !
La chambre était aussi très petite, difficile de circuler à deux avec les valises…

Das war mit Abstand die schlechteste Unterkunft unserer einmonatigen USA-Rundreise mit über 25 Hotels.

Der größte Kritikpunkt ist die Umgebung. Bereits bei unserer Ankunft am Samstagnachmittag hielten sich direkt vor dem Hotel und insbesondere in den Seitenstraßen zahlreiche sehr unangenehm wirkende Personen auf. Es wurde laut herumgeschrien, Menschen hantierten mit Eisenstangen und insgesamt fühlten wir uns dort alles andere als sicher. Entsprechend unwohl war uns auch, als wir abends zum Hotel zurücklaufen mussten.

Die Kommunikation vor der Anreise war ebenfalls katastrophal. Unsere Zahlung wurde mehrfach abgelehnt – obwohl wir insgesamt fünf verschiedene Kreditkarten ausprobiert haben. Ständig wurde mit einer Stornierung gedroht, passiert ist jedoch nie etwas. Telefonieren war für uns mangels amerikanischer Telefonnummer nicht möglich, obwohl wir das mehrfach erklärt haben. Stattdessen sollten wir sensible Zahlungsdaten im Chat übermitteln, was wir aus Sicherheitsgründen selbstverständlich abgelehnt haben. Vor Ort wurde das Problem weder ernst genommen noch kundenorientiert gelöst, sondern auf uns bzw. Booking.com geschoben.

Zusätzlich sollte man wissen, dass Parken 25 USD pro Nacht kostet. Das war für uns bei der Buchung nicht ausreichend ersichtlich.

Obwohl wir ausdrücklich um ein Zimmer im Erdgeschoss gebeten hatten, da wir mit vier großen Koffern unterwegs waren, bekamen wir ein Zimmer im obersten Stock – ohne Aufzug. Das Zimmer war extrem klein. Sobald zwei Koffer geöffnet waren, konnte man sich kaum noch bewegen. Das Bad war winzig und wirkte praktisch wie ein Teil des Zimmers. Außerdem roch das Zimmer leicht muffig und die Sauberkeit war nur durchschnittlich.

Der einzige Grund, warum wir nicht nur einen Stern vergeben, ist, dass das Zimmer zumindest halbwegs sauber war und die Lage für Downtown grundsätzlich praktisch ist. Insgesamt können wir dieses Hotel jedoch nicht empfehlen.

It was very hot in our room all four days the remote to the fan in my room never worked even after the batteries were replaced I couldn't open all of the windows to allow a cross breeze the room was very small and they wanted me to put an additional card down and deposit to ride a bicycle when I already had a credit card on file for incidentals.
