between 6 September to 1 November 2024, Southern Sun Waterfront will be undergoing an exterior refurbishment. As part of this process, workers will be employing rope access techniques to prepare and paint the building's façade. A wonderful stay with excellent service, a great location, and thoughtful hospitality. We would happily return.
Pros:

The location is excellent and very convenient for exploring Cape Town. The complimentary shuttle service was a huge plus and made getting around much easier. The staff were exceptionally polite, friendly, and always willing to help. The spa was superb and one of the highlights of our stay. We also appreciated the special eggless birthday cake arranged for my husband, which made our celebration even more memorable.

Cons:

The family room was quite small for our family and felt a little cramped. The breakfast was good, but it would be even better with a wider variety of options.

Excelente ubicación, desayuno muy rico, habitación cómoda y muy limpia. El personal de housekeeping fue excelente: muy atentas, limpiaban temprano, rápido y dejaban todo impecable

Cons:

Llegué a las 6:00 a. m. después de un viaje de más de 26 horas desde Panamá y no me concedieron el early check-in, por lo que tuve que esperar hasta las 2:00 p. m. para ingresar. Incluso ofrecí pagar la noche anterior para poder acceder antes, pero no fue posible. Además, aunque el personal fue amable, en algunas situaciones sentí poca empatía y disposición para ayudar.

Can’t wait to be back….
Pros:

The warmth of the team was absolutely exceptional especially Aziza and Siboniso at the reception these really went the extra mile to support. Celimpilo at the restaurant really showed such kindness and hospitality. The ladies at the breakfast buffet, Baby girl, Khanyi and Mary Anne have such authentic warmth and joy and you have to taste the yummy omelette prepared with lots of love by Mary Anne…. This was such a beautiful experience

Pros:

The stay was fine. Breakfast is nice. Room service menu is a bit limited.
Horrible WiFi connection. That is very surprising.
Extremely small gym. Small amount of equipments. 7 people were hardly fitting. Others were coming and going away. Such a small gym for a big hotel is a shame.

Remodel is way overdue.
Cons:

Old hotel, cigarrete smell on the entire 9th floor, tiny fitness centre, mould in the shower. The AC light kept me awake at hight.

Cons:

Kuvien perusteella vaikutti että hotelli olisi hieman hienompi. Sisäuima-allasta ei ollut ja kuntosali oli todella pieni.

A stay to remember with required expectations.
Pros:

Wendy Wendy Wendy. She deserves training for higher position. She added extra touch to my stay every second in the hotel including the rest of the team.

Over all great stay with the only exception being that you have to pay for parking.
