Convenient location
Nothing really
The property is beautifully kept. A grand property kept spotless. The staff are exceptional and genuinely care about the customer experience. The stay exceeded our expectations and is one of our most memorable.
Location was excellent and we enjoyed using the shuttle bus to/from the V&A waterfront. This service was extremely convenient. Our girls enjoyed using the heated swimming pool and we enjoyed drinks on the courtyard terrace. Breakfasts was a buffet but staff had good understanding of gluten and cross-contamination for my coeliac daughter. Leigh, in customer relations was excellent and extremely accommodating with any of our requests. 10/10!
While the parking was only R60/night, this should be a free service for those already paying to stay at the hotel. The hotel puts out treats and sweets in the lobby every afternoon for guest to enjoy but these NEED to be marked with any allergens. I don't think it is difficult to consult the packaging and mention the allergens (on a small card) next to the bowls/jars of sweets/treats, similar to their breakfast buffet.
The aircon did not work, the room was 27'C. we reported it 3 times and still did not work. It was impossible to sleep.
Location
The room was too squeezed for 2 adults and 1 room. They did not cater for additional milk, water and tea, even towel. Each day I had to call to order extra water tea and milk. This was a bit disappointing.
Some of the staff were not welcoming at all. One day I was in a rush and instead of taking the lemon water at the entrance in a glass I decided to fill my 300ml half with it. One of the staff immediately came up to me this was not allowed and not to do it in the future, he was so rude. I was shocked by this comment.
Breakfast was repetitive everyday- no change at all.
The property was beautiful, very clean, exceptional touches such as a pianist at breakfast and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Love the location, the design of the hotel.
Poor house keeping. The room was only cleaned after 3pm in the afternoon. The staff at reception did not have a great response when I queried this. I returned to the reception x3 times for a suitable response. Very frustrating.
La gentillesse du personnel. Les petites attentions comme les bonbons à 15h à notre retour . La qualité du petit déjeuner accompagnée de son pianiste.
Pas de prise dans la salle de bain. Des courants d’air au niveau de la fenêtre.
