Hotel Joaquin

For $465 for one nights stay this was the worst value hotel I think I have ever stayed in. There are no facilities, not even a bottle of water in the rooms. the toilet was broken which I ended up fixing myself having to take the top off the toilet top and reattach the plumping as there was no-one on duty to help, I hung my towel on the hook in the bathroom which fell off the wall. To take a bath and use soap you have to step out the bath to reach the attached shower gel on the opposite side of bathroom wall. On the site by other guest it said amazing coffee was delivered to our room,, and breakfast was lovely. I booked this place for my birthday as a special treat for my partner and I. However, we got there to be told there is. no breakfast only drip coffee in the common area in the mornings. No food is served on the premises, no staff customer care, no facilities and not even a bottle of water. There are no TV's or phones in the room so if anything isn't working it's on you to sort out. All in all I would say this place should be advistised as a room to rent nothing more as there is nothing more offered. A very very expensive experience. I have travelled the world and I don't think I've ever given a bad review before but this place was next level bad. the bed mattress was so soft I left next day with back pains. I would say save your money and give this very overpriced place a miss.

Several friends stayed here on the occasion of a birthday dinner party held on New Year's Eve at the hotel. We reserved six rooms and everyone enjoyed their stay.

The dinner party was catered and the food was excellent. It was raining and the dinner had to be moved 'inside' to what is the lobby area. There were other hotel guests who were gracious with 20 people drinking and eating in the space.

Location is ideal for walking and dining opportunities are near by. The hotel does not serve breakfast or other meals. It does have a bar and coffee available in the am.

We absolutely loved the location and overall vibe of Hotel Joaquin—it's the perfect spot in Laguna Beach with that dreamy, retro-cool charm that makes you feel relaxed and transported. The hotel feels cozy and intimate, like a stylish hideaway from the past. Best of all, it's incredibly walkable: just steps to beautiful Shaw's Cove beach for snorkeling or relaxing, easy hikes in the nearby hills, or strolls into town. This is exactly the kind of place we'd want to retire to—pure Laguna magic!

Beautiful boutique hotel in Laguna. Just returned from a fabulous weekend. Steps from Shaw's cove which is a stunning beach. Breakfast was outstanding. (how do you get the eggs to taste so good?) Stayed in room Ciel with stunning ocean views. Used the heated pool and a couple beach toys. Very friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - we will be back! (Cant remember the blond guys name at the bar/breakfast but he was delightful- really friendly)

We had an incredible stay at Hotel Joaquin. The staff we warm personable and chill. Everything from the service to the design and location come together to make an unforgettable experience celebrating my girlfriends birthday. We'll definitely be back.
