Lovely location, staff and food.
Pros:

Location was great. Staff were superb, food was delicious and our room was clean and spacious.

Cons:

I would have preferred a walk in shower but there weren’t any available rooms left with a walk in shower but this is more down to personal preference than an issue.

Good Location & Food
Pros:

The location & the food was very good & the bed was comfy. The views were lovely & the interior of the Hotel was clean.

Cons:

There wasn't enough staff, two members of staff were doing dual roles, which I thought was bad considering it was the Bank Holiday Weekend! Service was very slow & the lights went off. The bedroom was very small & too compact & the Shower very small. There was no tumbler to clean your teeth & I had to ask for one, which was reluctantly given! The Spa was overpriced for the facilities available & I thought it was expensive overall for just one nights stay & the Thermal experience.

Ok if you’re in the older generations and don’t mind noise.
Pros:

Looks beautiful from the outside and the grounds are lovely. It is also in a good location. The staff were really nice and the breakfast was fab.

Cons:

We were in a room which was directly underneath the bins and generators. You could not smell the bins but the generators were quite loud. The bins were also collected at 5:30am on one of the mornings and it woke us up. Our room was also quite dark as it directly faced a wall of trees and ivy. The inside is very old fashioned, but in a way that feels a little dated and much more suitable for the older generation rather than the younger. It ultimately did not feel worth the £170 a night by any stretch and I did leave feeling a little disappointed unfortunately as I was really looking forward to it.

Perfect stay!
Pros:

The staff were professional, friendly and informative. The grounds and building are stunning and well kept. Sea views amazing !
The rooms were immaculate and everything we needed, even a fan on such a hot day!
The breakfast was beautiful and fresh even though was a buffet. Everything you could ask for.
The bar was well stocked and the restaurant food was delicious...the sticky toffee pudding was heavenly!

Cons:

Slight gripes but nothing major, sofa bed was pretty uncomfortable but understandable
Bit of a wait for dinner order to be taken.
Not enough room on breakfast tables for all plates, tea pots, cups, juice glasses etc...plates are quite large.

We are thinking of returning next year as our stay was so enjoyable.
Pros:

The warm welcome by the staff. Very well organised to dinner and breakfast.
The old building and the quirkiness of the furnishings in the lounge and library.

Cons:

Nothing comes to minds

It’s character. What a fantastic old building and the view is tremendous.

Cons:

The walk to our room was quite a bit for someone with mobility problems like myself.

Beautiful Hotel, Stunning Views, and Enough Time in the Bar Queue to Reflect on Life
Pros:

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Netherwood Hotel & Spa. The location is excellent, with beautiful views across Morecambe Bay and easy access into the Lake District for exploring the surrounding areas.
The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well maintained, making it a relaxing base after days out. We particularly appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and the character of the hotel itself. Breakfast buffet was great.
Overall, a great choice if you want a scenic and comfortable stay with convenient access to both Grange-over-Sands and the wider Lake District.

Cons:

The only downside during our stay was the bar service. There were long queues and lengthy waits to get drinks at times, and it felt like the bar staff could have done with additional support during busier periods. Evening meal was quite average & small portions.

Good looking hotel
Pros:

The hotel breakfast was very good and the evening meals also. The bed was comfy and they have a lift.
There was water bottles but no glasses and no decaf tea in room.

Cons:

The room was small for a double and bathroom was tiny. The only view was top of extension which was disappointing. This was room five.
There seemed to be lack of staff so had to wait ages for meals and drinks.

Wedding anniversary stop over .
Pros:

Stunning property keeping its olde worlde charm and character set back in lovely well maintained grounds . Short walk into town centre and promenade . We had sea view room which was spacious and clean . Nice bar area to relax in . Staff very pleasant and helpful . Overall a very clean well looked after hotel and very relaxing .

Cons:

Breakfast was buffet style , we don’t like this style of breakfast personally , however the food was good and well cooked . Unfortunately our room was above the inhouse gym which opened at 6.30 am , we were woken to weights being banged about and dropped harshly it really was loud in our room , we got no further sleep as this went on for over an hour .

A very good hotel in a good location
Pros:

The location, the property and garden, good car park, meals, ambience and welcoming atmosphere

Cons:

My only concern is (and it was the same in a different room during a previous stay there) that while the main lighting in the bedroom was very good, the bedside light was so dim it was impossible to read in bed without keeping the main lights switched on then having to get out of bed and cross the room to switch off the lights and before settling to sleep. This should be an easy problem to rectify and hope there will
Be an improvement before I return for another holiday there.

Nice location and building staff were great, but inside room wasn’t very clean, view of the chefs smoking area was disap
Pros:

Lovely outside but for the price I paid the inside was like staying in my granny’s spare room

Cons:

Hairs in bathroom, stain on towel, had a view of the chefs smoking area.
