& what a view !!!!😎☀️✅ seaview room a MUST
Slightly short on rest / bar staff on the nite -
I was given a fantastic room, really big with a good view over the bay. The Bathroom was beautifully fitted and clean. The breakfast and dinner were excellent as on my previous visits - I have been here several times before and I have always been very happy, and have recommended it to friends as well.
Unfortunately, the Library adn Lounge were out of use, and were seemingly set up for an event that didnt happen. This was a pity as it limited the number of p[laces for a quiet after dinner drink,
Absolutely perfect location, with perfect view everything felt luxury and nothing was to much for the staff, I'd taken my mum for her birthday and they went above and beyond to make her feel like a princess, she didn't want to leave, nice touches to the bathroom with elemis shampoo and body wash, breakfast was wonderful and lots to choose from all exceptional quality, netherwood is the best hotel we have ever stayed at I will continue to keep coming here.
It's not so much what I didn't like, but the spa could definitely do with a good update, the beds some was totally broken and one if the aromatherapy rooms didn't seem to be working, also the hot tub you couldn't press it manually it wouldn't come on, the thunderstorm shower 1st setting scalded my back I think it may be set wrong I left with marks all over my back from it, the hotel was amazing but the spa wasn't very great especially if people are traveling far for it, (only 12 people allowed at 1 time)
Beautiful old building and grounds. There was an excellent choice of meals on the al a carte menu with a generous amount of money to put towards them.
Handy base for the Southern Lakes.
Exceptional property, very beautiful gardens with exotic planting, maintained to high standard. Lovely hotel, gorgeous original feature lounges with fantastic fireplaces and cosy sofas and chairs. Courteous polite staff , loved our stay. Grange over sands has a beautiful promenade and lovely scenery, a lot more than I expected
Absolutely nothing, but would be advantageous if there was a pool
Staff friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was excellent. Rooms were comfortable with great views.
*Great views
*Friendly and welcoming staff
*No air conditioning, which made the room uncomfortable.
*The Wi-Fi connection was unreliable.
* The dinner menu was very limited after 8:30 pm.
Lovely surroundings, friendly staff, just a really nice short break away with my partner.
Location was great, near a number of things to do i.e. enjoyed hotel gardens which amazingly kept, walk on prom, saw lido now renovated, visited Cartmel and Arnside Beach on way home. The property was very interesting with history of old mill owners house with folly.
Great location. Superior rooms had views over the bay. Great staff and good food.
No fridge in bedroom. No glasses for water.
Breakfast was very good ,lots of choices, staff very nice and helpful , will recommend to friends. Location and grounds very nice.
Nothing
Receptionist not welcoming.
It wasn’t clear when booking that we were in an annexe building
Its location
Very dated and it smelt damp in areas. Definitely needs refurbishing
Location Close proximity to railway station. Clean and a good bath/shower with lots of hot water.
No glass provided in room - only a single teacup for rinsing teeth etc!
This is false economy. The worse thing was that the room was so small there was no room for even a tiny bedside table. Nowhere to put your book, phone, cup of tea etc except on the floor. The very small single bed might have been an issue for some guests. No view. A general feeling of cutting corners. Why is it that solo travellers nearly always get the worst rooms. It’s a real put off.
The rooms were lovely, the staff were amazing and very attentive for my mums 90th birthday celebrations
Great location, 5 minutes walk into Grange, beautifully old building with lots of character. Ease of parking. Elevated position looking out across the bay. Seating on the terrace to enjoy the views. Large rooms , loved the Library Room and the Lounge where you can sit, read, relax.
Choice of areas to sit, eat and enjoy a drink. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and polite. Felt well looked after at meal times. Breakfast buffet was very nice with plenty of choice.
Central location and good breakfast
