Central position in Edinburgh
Pros:

Hotel really lovely and room very comfortable

Cons:

Room faced the back end of some building and was woken up at some ridiculous hour with a beeping truck that stayed for ages collecting bottles out of bins. Between the beeping of the truck and the sound of braking bottles sleep was impossible.

My stay was brilliant
Pros:

The room was excellent and very spacious for a twin room. The location was great for going to theatre , cinema and there was plenty of restaurants for eating out and shops to visit in walking distance

Great place to explore Edinburgh from.
Pros:

Great location to explore Edinburgh. Lots of places to eat nearby.
The staff were great, especially Abdulla at breakfast who was very helpful.
Our room was comfortable and the bed was very good. It also had a nice seating area out front with heaters if it got a bit cold.
Overall, a great experience.

Cons:

Honestly, nothing.

Kan varmt anbefales.
Pros:

Personalet var super hjælpsomme og imødekommende.
Værelset var super fint og rent, og beliggenheden er helt perfekt.
Det er i gå afstand til alt i midtbyen. Ca 15 min gang med stor kuffert fra wheverly station.
Morgenmads buffeten var helt fantastisk.
Det er med garanti ikke sidste gang jeg besøger dette hotel.

Cons:

Jeg har ikke noget at sætte en finger på.

Perfect. Would go back tomorrow
Pros:

Location is perfect for the New town and 5 mins walk away from Princes Street. Restaurant excellent but close to many others . Tram stop 50 meters away.

Generally speaking, we were happy with the hotel and will certainly consider staying there again.
Pros:

The room was clean, very quiet and comfortable. The location is perfect as it's close to a tram stop. We ate twice at the 1802 restaurant and were impressed by the quality of food, good service, and the cosy and quiet ambience. Unlike most restaurants these days, we were able to hear and talk to our friends in a more civilised way.

Cons:

The bath gel and shampoo bottles were empty but towels were sufficiently provided.

Disappointing
Pros:

Lovely looking hotel and the breakfast was nice. The front desk staff were helpful when you spoke to them.

Cons:

The heating in the room didn’t work. Either freezing or boiling and you had to go to the front desk to sort it out every time it changed itself. Tried phoning front desk to change it at 2am no one answered so I had to go down in my pjs. Due to the heating no one slept and our lovey day out the next day was impacted negatively. Followed up with hotel management but they were abysmal at returning any emails. It’s actually made me really cross.
