The property has a charming Rajasthani heritage-inspired aesthetic and offers a peaceful atmosphere. The staff were courteous and the overall environment felt comfortable for a solo traveler. The location is convenient for exploring Jaipur, and the stay provided a pleasant introduction to the city’s culture and architecture. There was a balcony attached to the room, where I could dry my clothes. Ample amount of sunlight.
One area that could be improved is transparency regarding third-party transportation and shopping recommendations. Guests may naturally place a high level of trust in drivers or service providers associated with the property. It would be helpful if the homestay clearly informed guests that transportation providers operate independently and that shopping recommendations may involve commercial arrangements. Encouraging guests to compare prices and make informed purchasing decisions would strengthen trust and enhance the overall hospitality experience.

Here’s a more natural and human version that feels like a genuine guest sharing a memory rather than a formal review:
Amar Chitra Katha was one of those places that slowly grows on you and then becomes really hard to leave.
When we first arrived, we were struck by how calm and comforting everything felt. The ambience, the rooms, and the little details around the property made it feel warm and welcoming from the start. The service was genuinely great throughout our stay, and we honestly felt that we got much more than what we paid for.
One thing I would strongly recommend is taking the time to hear the story from Ansh. What started as a simple conversation ended up being one of the most memorable parts of our stay. It gave the place so much more character and made us appreciate it in a completely different way.
Some of my favourite memories are actually the simplest ones. Every evening, my sister and I would head up to the terrace for dinner. There was something so comforting about sitting there, enjoying the breeze and the food after a long day. We got so attached to their dal, chawal and karari bhendi that we would genuinely look forward to dinner just for that. It became our little ritual during the stay.
What made this place special wasn’t just the beautiful property, but how comfortable and cared for we felt throughout our time there. By the end of the trip, it felt less like we were leaving a hotel and more like we were leaving behind a place full of good memories.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would happily recommend Amar Chitra Katha to anyone looking for a stay that feels warm, personal and full of stories. ❤️

Anshu the owner is very knowledgeable of the city! Before I started exploring Jaipur, he sat down with me , drew a map of the places to visit in Jaipur, including where to try good food and gave a quick history lesson of Jaipur. He also helped arranging a tuktuk driver to take me to places and the price was reasonable. I arrived midday so he gave me an itinerary as to where to go in the afternoon. I must say i was really taken care of!
The location is amazing as well, its right next to one of the forts in Jaipur- you can see part of the wall in the balcony. The rooftop restaurant is relaxing and serves good food! Lastly, the rooms are cozy and clean.
I had such an amazing time in Jaipur thanks to the hospitality of the hotel owner and the staffs!
We stayed here as a couple for 3 days and truly enjoyed the peaceful and comfortable vibe. The stay felt very cozy, with all essential amenities in place. The breakfast was delicious and added a lovely touch to our mornings. Overall, a relaxing and memorable experience in Jaipur.
Chitrakatha is an awesome place...my go to place for enjoying with friends. This place has a good vibe... Tasty food...Host Mr. Anshu Sharma is a great host and is an art connoisseur which you can see at his place ..this place feels like home.

Convenient location, 10 minutes walking distance from railway station.

Had a very nice stay at Chitra Katha. The staff at the property is very conducive and inviting.
The rooms here are too good ,the food in the restaurant also is too good ,the staff is friendly and very good by behaviour, loved my experience here , will visit again if I am in Jaipur again , for sure
I had booked a family room for four people, but the hotel staff assigned me a dormitory.
It took me 5 mins to recollect all my vocab to start upon, still failed. As a writing amateur I could have written a lot on stay and their hospitality but struggling only after a conversation which started out a bit awkward, but provided me with actually meaning of “katha” from Chitra Katha by the end. About the “Chitra” feast your own eyes on the beauty.

• Hath Roi fort (Pinteresty girls this is your sign)
• Try their food , just that they prefer slow (read end of their menu) but trust me worth the wait and meanwhile pick up any board game, 3rd floor is all yours.

If I had to sum up my experience in Jaipur I can say that I came with a very vague and insta inspo idea of a 3 day itenary like any ordinary tourist BUT surely going back with a very deeply rooted knowledge of the history of Sawai Jai Singh2 and the concept of #work from home♥️
Chitra Katha has THE BEST hospitality, view and like today’s generation “pinteresty photos.” Chitra Katha makes you feel like home with it’s best service nd best view of Hathroi fort. And you knw what Hathroi fort is significant for??? I mean you can google it maybe but I would prefer you to hear it from the owner of Chitra Katha itself ✨
It's a beautiful place to stay with your family and friends. This place made our trip more memorable with a beautiful sunset view from their rooftop, rooms and washroom were properly clean, food was also damn yummy, host and staffs were so humble and sweet overall had a best experience✨️
