"We were 3 girls travelling in Jaipur and felt completely safe and comfortable throughout the tour. Our driver, Iqbal, was very polite, respectful and professional. He picked us up and dropped us safely near our hotel, Chitra Katha.
He also took us for shopping in affordable price ranges and guided us properly, which really helped us get good deals. We truly appreciated his honesty and support throughout the trip.
He made sure we reached every place safely including Chokhi dhani, Amber Fort, Nahargarh Fort and Hawa Mahal. Driving was smooth, time management was perfect and he never made us feel uncomfortable.

The room that was given to me was terrible. The paint was old. The telephone was not working. The TV cables were tangled. One light had its switch outside the room, which made me feel a little disappointed compared to what I saw in the reviews before booking this hotel and what I felt after checking out.
It was a great experience, the atmosphere of the hotel was great and safe. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and clean. The story time experience by Mr. Anshu is definitely amazing, fascinating and quite helpful. The aesthetics and attention to detail was remarkable. Is clearly value for money. Would 100% recommend.
It was a lovely experience here! The vibe, the food, the aesthetics, the attention to detail, everything on point. Would reccommend this place to everyone who wants a peaceful environment. Also, the storytime with Mr. Anshu was the highlight of this stay!

Hotel location is near by railway station and public transport is also available easily..food service are awesome.. specially tea and dal chawal was best ..we recommend other to try this place
My family and I had a great stay at Chitra Katha towards the end of 2025. The place offered us the quiet and relaxing stay that we were looking for. The building with its appealing yellow exterior, artistic interiors and located right next to Hathroi Fort sets the right mood for a Rajasthani vacation. The central location with most of the city-based attractions about 15-20 minutes away was a big positive for us.
The rooms that were allocated to us were clean and well maintained and equipped with amenities to make our stay comfortable. The terrace is probably the highlight and the most happening place of the hotel. The rooftop restaurant, a mini library, a view of the locality, the occasional bone fire and the host Anshu’s unique story sessions, provide a relaxing environment after a tiring day of legwork exploring the city. The restaurant offered a good variety of options with the Laal Maas dish not to be missed if you are a non-vegetarian.
Overall, we spent a highly enjoyable and relaxing few nights at Chitra Katha and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Jaipur and looking for a blend of comfort, warm hospitality, and a peaceful stay within easy reach of the city’s main attractions. A real value for money.

Everything is very fine. Hotel manager Devesh ji behavior is very nice and very friendly. I give 10/10 star to the hotel, location, atmosphere, room cleanness, food and everything.

So much molding in the bathroom on the walls, absolutely a health and hygiene issue. Cleanliness could have been improved. If you are checking in later in the evening, communicate in advance.

I had very pleasant stay at Chitra Katha …The rooms very clean and well-maintained with all amenities. The staff was helpful and always ready to assist with a smile . The food was delicious especially butter chicken which tasted heavenly….overall ambience of this hotel was calm and comfortable . The location is also convenient. Overall it was memorable stay . I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, great service and value for money. Looking forward to stay here again . And special thanks to Ballu bhaiya and Iqbal bhaiya who guided us all the locations , suggested good places to eat and shop. The rides were comfortable and safe . Highly recommended for anyone visiting Jaipur and wanting smooth , local experience .
We missed out the story bit of Chitra Katha as we didn't get enough time. This place offers a pleasant stay. It has a lovely decor and ambience. The food is good, tad expensive though. It is a standalone building, so no kids play area or anything. However, there is a lift so elderly people wouldn't face any issues.
There are different categories of rooms, from very small double room to four-bedded and six-bedded ones. Rooms are cosy and comfortable, however, for a place whose walls are adorned with classy Prabudhha Dasgupta photographs, the rooms could have been a little bit classier. Basic things such as electric kettle (the did provide after asking), tea/coffee sachets, face towels can be included in the room tariff.
The location is bang opposite Hathroi fort, very imposing. Our four-bedded room had an adjacent terrace , perfect for a group getaway. The staff is helpful and polite. They did fulfil myriad demands of our heterogenous group.
