Pros:

This was a pleasant surprise! I stayed just one night, but really enjoyed the area around there - walking distance to some beautiful lovely locations and spots to see. Staff was so friendly and lovely, also spoke very good English - I sW mostly locals staying here at this very traditional style onsen hotel. I booked the evening buffet, was really nice, with DIY BBQ at your table and nice food and drinks. When you enter, you take off your shoes and use provided slippers, very nice. The private outdoor onsen where you could book a slot for free (if available) was also amazing. My room was huge, very nice! Loved my short stay!

Cons:

No big things at all - just a note for future travelers: There was a "strange" smell in my otherwise beautiful room - not sure what it was, but nothing I complained about as the smell faded away when you got used to it. You need a taxi/uber from the station to the hotel (most people probably drive there) - it's just 10 mins drive, but worth being aware of that you can't just walk there with tons of big luggage 😊 There is no way to turn off the light from the bed, so the flashlight in the room was handy.

Fantastic, exceeded my expectations!
Pros:

Free-flow drinks & oden/ ramen during snack & supper timing. Onsen and rooms are clean, service is great!

Decent hotel that could use some cleaning and maintenance...
Pros:

Although it did smell cold tobacco, room was clean and seemed to have been renovated recently.
The three different onsen options and the possibility to privately book one were really nice!
Most staff were very nice and helpful.

Cons:

The hotel itself could use some cleaning and maintenance. A fresh coat of paint in some places. Cleaning up some dead leaves here and there. Making the private onsen actually look nice with some lighting, etc...
Overall, it just feels that the management team doesn't really care.

Pros:

This is a great place to stay while visiting Shuzenji. It's only a short walk from the centre of town and there are some good walking paths nearby. The buffet-style breakfast is excellent value and the two happy hours in the afternoon/evening are good too. The room was spacious by Japanese standards.

チェックイン時に無料のおでんとアルコールサービスがあり、夕食後にも無料ラーメンとアルコールサービスがありお得でした

カラオケも、無料で利用出来ました

Cons:

館内がちょっと複雑でした(フロントから客室までエレベーターを乗り継ぐ必要がある)

We love the Onsen, freeflow ramen & alcohol
Pros:

- The room size. It is huge for 2 persons.
- I like how they provide different sizes of Yukata (bathrobe) for us to choose.
- They serve freeflow ramen & alcohol during specific hours
- Both private onsen (cave & outdoor) are huge that can easily fit 1 family

We really love the hotel and would definately stay here again if we have the chance to go Shuzenji again. Highly recommended.

Cons:

- It is abit far from the bus station. I think about 13 mins walk with a slope leading from main road to the hotel.
- Howeverm the facilities and overall value provided more than compensate for this small drawback.

施設が古い。暖房が、かかっていないので、廊下が寒い。入浴施設まで、距離があった。廊下のクロスが、湿気で剥がれ、黒カビが生えていた。居室にお菓子がなかった。

Cons:

Location is bad and there are NO pickups from Shuzenji station. However the web site still said that pick up service available. So, we took taxi on both way.
Cost is 4000 yen extra. Not good.

満足度は普通な感じでした。が、次も利用するかといったら…考えてしまいます。
Pros:

ハッピーアワーやアイスのサービスなど楽しい企画があって楽しかったです。
スタッフの親切でよかったです。

Cons:

部屋から見える外の中庭？が汚かった。
フロント、部屋以外は節電なのは分かるが暗すぎる。
大浴場へ行く廊下は薄気味悪ささえ感じた。
大浴場の湯の温度が高すぎて熱く入ることが出来なかった。子どもなどは尚更なのではないかと思う。
温泉に来たのになんだかな…という感じでした。
