We stayed here one night on our way from Galway to Belfast as we planned to go to Emerald Park the next day. We stayed in an apartment and it was absolutely fabulous! Gorgeous view over the lake and so spacious. The staff at the hotel were delightful, we enjoyed a lovely carvery on the bar after we arrived and a delicious breakfast the next morning including freshly made pancakes for the kids. Highly recommend this hotel!
We have just returned from a 2 nights stay in the apartments at Annebrook house hotel. We had a fabulous time, all of the staff were great, but particularly the bar staff and staff in the breakfast room were exceptional, absolutely nothing was a problem for them, so friendly & professional. This is our 2nd time as a group of friends and we will certainly return again.
Great place to visit can’t fault the food Restaurant superb staff very attentive, but Berty’s Bar lacking in staff, outside terrace hardly ever cleaned tables full of dirty dishes/glasses ashtrays always overflowing staff more concerned with the main bar
Pleasant, adequate and with no definitive negatives. It's just that this Hotel doesn't quite deliver on its 4-star claimed rating. We didn't try the cooked breakfast so cannot comment on it. The selection available for the cold breakfast is poor. The available fruit juices were concentrates and not fresh- this is a definite "no-no" for a four star hotel in my estimation. The cereal selection was limited, just one muesli plus I think two processed cereals. The pastries were stale.
The room accommodation is entirely adequate, clean and spacious, but again doesn't quite hit the four star level. It's the small things that count. A twin bedded room with only one power socket beside one of the beds. A bathroom with a shower in the bath and not safe for use by older guests (I probably missed this on the room description when booking). Bed clothes which are too heavy during hot weather.
I don't want to convey a negative impression of the Annebrook. Our 2 night stay was pleasant, staff by and large were pleasant. It's just a question of over-promising with a four star rating, and perhaps slightly under-delivering on small details.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We had a fantastic stay at the apartment at Annebrook House Hotel. The apartment was spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained, with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing visit. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well-equipped, and having the extra living space made it feel like a home away from home.
The location was perfect—within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, and local attractions—while still being quiet and peaceful. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and always happy to help, making the entire experience even better.
We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and would definitely choose Annebrook House Hotel again on our next visit. Highly recommended!
This is a wonderful
Hotel with exceptional
Staff, kind, helpful and polite. The location is great for exploring the many great shops in Mullingar. Food was fabulous, huge variety to choose from and an extensive cocktail menu. The young barman Sean was outstanding. He’s polite, well mannered with a great sense of humour. An experienced cocktail maker whose specialty is the ‘Hugo’. We”ll definitely be back to visit. Would recommend this hotel to all.
My first choice request was for the room I had last year, but it was unavailable. My second choice request was for a room with a view of the park, and man, did they deliver! I think I was happier than I would have been in my first room choice. The view was spectacular, and I will request this room on my next visit!
We celebrated with a family dinner in a private room. Food was delicious and service was excellent. Stayed overnight in comfortable room. Lovely breakfast.
A one night stop before head back to Dublin. Great location right next to the park and in the city center with free parking.
Visited this hotel while in the area for work. Reception was friendly and efficient. The room was spacious and good value.
The hotel has a nostalgic, castle-like vibe and is very picturesque. It’s surrounded by a vast park, with a water canal running between them. A beautiful experience! We stayed in an apartment equipped with a dishwasher, a washing machine, and two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Very comfortable and felt just like home, especially when traveling with children. The breakfast was decent, but since we don't speak the language well, we would have preferred a self-service buffet. The staff was attentive to our needs.
The view was lovely from the apartment but it was ruined by noisy pipes starting at 3.45 am and then every 40 minutes and it was our anniversary so our trip was ruined for the 3 days
Annesbook is so central to everything in Mulingar. It is so reasonably priced at £120 sterling for a three bed room. It is clean and quiet. The Old Mill Restaurant is good. My husband had goats cheese tartlet which was exceptional. I had chicken wings which were really tasty. My steak was a little tough but great flavours. My husband had the butternut squash risotto which was delicious. Enough for two servings. Staff are lovely at reception. Dining room staff are so attentive. The waitress serving us has tasted many of the dishes and shared her opinion with us when choosing our meal. I would definitely stay in Annebrook House Hotel again.
Nice hotel quiet, clean with exceptional staff . Breakfast was generous and delicious. washer in room but no dryer clothes rack available from reception.
We stayed at this property to minimize our trip to the Dublin Airport the following morning. The price of the hotel was much less than staying in Dublin and it was a good point to spend the night traveling from Galway. Our stay was quite quick but we did have dinner in Bertie’s which was good. The room itself was clean and spacious although the bathroom could do with some refreshing.
First class accommodation. Excellent food, friendly. efficient Staff. Good location. The rooms were very clean and tidied every day. Coffee, tea etc. topped up daily. Parking plentiful. Cannot speak too highly of this Hotel.
Great location - lovely staff, food, and accommodation.
Corroon Family reunion meal in Old House Restaurant on Friday the 10th April. Food was fantastic service was excellent Staff so helpful friendly fun and efficient serving 20 guest many staying there. All going away with treasured memories made special by the care the Staff of the Annebrook hotel Mullingar took of them
We recently stayed overnight at this hotel. From initial contact with Leanne at reception, we were treated with respect and courtesy. The accommodation food and staff were all really good. Would definitely stay again. Leanne was a star.
Really enjoyed our stay. Staff were so accomadating about a large group. 25 people stayed and there was no issues with check in, very friendly staff. They went out of their way to be helpful with baggage and check in. Prior to our stay communication from reception and management was excellent. Had afternoon tea in the old house, wonderful and relaxed. Would stay again and the apartments were perfect. Clean with all the facilities of an apartment with the luxury of a hotel. Lovely view over the lake. Will happily come back in the future as everything was within walking distance. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
