Great location within walking distance of most things. The first room we were shown (no 22 I think) was almost impossibly small. This should really be a storage cupboard. Fortunately another room was available (number 29) which was much more comfortable. Staff friendly and attentive. Car park is tight (book in advance). Cooked breakfast so-so.
We stayed for 2 nights for my husband's 50th birthday. We stayed in the hideout, which had a spa bath. Be careful, it's very hot. Bathroom could have been cleaner, mould in places. The rest of the suite was lovely, very luxurious compared to our normal hotel rooms.
Staff were approachable and helpful. Even sent a bottle of bubbles to the room for my husband's birthday.
Would I return, yes!
Perfect location, just a 5 minute pretty walk into Bath city centre.
The whole set up is brilliant. From the moment you walk in it feels really classy. Great and interesting decor and the room we had was delightful with a very comfortable bed. A special mention to all the staff we met who were so welcoming and great fun.
We will definitely return.
Nothing not to like.
Great location, very comfortable and friendly staff
Extra cost for parking
A beautiful, quirky hotel with wonderful decor. The rooms were wonderful. The bathroom amazing! The staff very attentive
Nothing
Wonderful hotel. Great room, very well appointed with an obvious eye for design touches. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Nice, comfy bar and great breakfast.
This hotel was truly above and beyond! A massive thank you to Jennie (hope I’m spelling that right!) for making this birthday trip feel so memorable and incredibly special.
The location was absolutely perfect — and everywhere you looked or wandered had so much personality. Every corner invited curiosity. You couldn’t help but explore. It felt like stepping into your own little wonderland.
The entire team was kind, warm, and genuinely attentive — the kind of hospitality that makes you feel seen and cared for.
And the bathtub? The cherry on top. Pure bliss.
Run — don’t walk — and book this place for your own magical escape.
Thank you for making this birthday unforgettable 🤍
Elegant but cosy and comfortable
Nothing
Ellen, on reception, was very helpful and charming. The room was clean. The vintage record player is a nice touch (and the vinyl provided showed great taste). Great cocktails in the bar too.
No mini bar in the room (although there is a pantry).
Exquisite hotel in beautiful location. Staff attentive and super-friendly. Loved the guest pantry and the female bartender who made me a perfect Trader Vic's Mai Tai 🌟
Room rates needn't be this steep.
A good menu available for breakfast but not worth the £25.00 cost. A good room in the Coach House which was worth what we paid. The location was great for the city centre with a10 minute walk to the main attractions and the centre of Bath. Limited parking at the hotel.
The cost of drinks in the bar was excessive. Two double Gin & Tonics £48.94, which may account for why the bar was empty.
The organisation from start to finish was great. There were multiple emails backwards and forwards and the responses very kind and patient with all my requests. The room was clean, the layout of the room good and the view superb. The snack bar was a hit, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. When it says it is boutique, it really is. A must stay...
The location is great, a 5 minute walk to the city centre and attractions, and in a pleasant and elegant area. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable and a good size. Breakfast was excellent with efficient service.
Limited parking, as can be expected for the location, but good public parking close by.
Room was so cosy and unique! Super comfy bed, amazing bath! Also breakfast was 10/10, and staff were very friendly and helpful.
Really tough to fault - Not much availability for spa appointments and the bar closed a little early for us.
