The location
Fairly basic rooms we were expecting better. Parking very difficult only 8 spaces to be pre booked for the entire hotel.
Beautiful property. Beautifully decorated and maintained.

The location was perfect. The staff were excellent. Loved the room. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Breakfast was very good.
Lack of car parking. Breakfast buffet was quite limited.
Wonderful location and stunning property! I loved the decor in our room and the bar area was a nice place to grab a drink - they had great mocktail options too. The staff were accommodating, allowing us to store a bike in their storeroom and complimentary snack bar was a nice touch. The doggy welcome pack was very cute!
We were upgraded upon check-in which was lovely, but sadly it was on a super hot day and there’s no aircon (top floor) which surprised me for a 5 star hotel. They did provide a fan. We were told the reception was staffed 24/7 but when my husband went to collect his bike at 5am for an event, no one was there. He waited 30 minutes before having to exit the hotel and use the doorbell to get attention. Someone came after that. None of these would stop me from staying there again but it is worth mentioning.
Location and vibe
Mould or dirt on shower window , very small room
Outstanding interpretation of a classic Bath building, with tasteful decor. Free food and drinks in the 'pantry' is also extremely convenient. Food and drinks were excellent as well.
Fab location, room, food & service
No parking provision but that is due to location but you need to budget for this
Perfect location. Gorgeous property with lovely touches like the decor and free pantry, record player and classic fm playing softly as we walked through the door
A mini fridge in the room would have been a great finishing touch
Fantastic location - just up the road from Lady Danbury's house! There is a wonderful spa in the basement which we thoroughly enjoyed. It's a lovely old building, quirky with lots of character. Bath is a beautiful city- everything is walkable and the weather was fantastic.
The breakfast was nice but limited, with everything cooked to order as per the menu. Would have preferred a hot buffet and a much wider food selection. The room was not as described, it should have been 2 double beds but was arranged as 1 sofa bed and 2singles zipped together. With the sofa bed out, there was not enough room to walk around it so we had to set up the sofa bed each evening... It was more like a guesthouse than a hotel
What a great location! And the staff is fantastic ….everything about this gem of a place is top notch
Nothing not to like …..
Beautiful decor and interesting touches like a record player with a selection of vinyls
