My stay at this Ibis hotel in Copacabana was quite disappointing
Pros:

The only positives were the helpful housekeeping staff, who kindly remade the bed upon request, and the excellent location, very close to Copacabana beach and a nearby metro entrance.
However, due to the poor hygiene and condition of the room, I cannot recommend staying here.

Cons:

Upon entering the room, I was immediately hit by a strong, unpleasant sour smell. I tried airing the room multiple times by opening the window, but the odor never went away. The mattress was in a shocking condition: visibly dirty, with yellow and brown stains all over it. It looked unhygienic and honestly unacceptable for a hotel that is part of the Ibis chain. This seriously made me question whether this hotel meets the brand’s basic standards.
The check-in process was also very slow and odd. Despite having completed a pre-check-in in advance, it took an unusually long time. The staff member (a big man) appeared to be typing and working, but nothing actually seemed to happen. It created a strange and uncomfortable situation, especially after I had to ask twice if everything was okay.

Cons:

Las instalaciones muy antiguas y parecían un tanto desaseadas y el refrigerador pequeño estaba mal oliente, no lo pude ocupar.
Tenía solamente cortina gruesa, por lo que no podía abrir la ventana de la habitación.
