The Golden Sky Condotel was very good, but with relatively little effort it could have been much better. The room was excellent; clean, spacious and comfortable. It had the room we had been missing earlier in our trip. However, there were some imperfection. The restaurant, in particular, was not helpful, not even providing enough ice for an ice pack (I hurt my hamstring). The bath room smelt and the door was perfect on one side and in pieces on the other. There were 4 air conditioners in the suite, made by 4 different companies and each working differently. One did little, while another would cool down a factory. There was so much potential here; the pool was lovely and underutilized, the elevator doors were more like a carnivore's jaws, as they tried to slice up the last guest to enter them. There were no safe deposit boxes or other secure places to leave belongings. These are truly small things, given the comfort and class of the place, but it is the reason why it is not as popular as it should be.
The porters, doormen, etc, were excellent; friendly and helpful.
The staff, especially the reception staff, probably need a better command of English, if they are to attract the custom they could.
The taxi drivers had never heard of the place and found it difficult to find.
Overall, we enjoyed our time there. My family felt safe and comfortable. I would return there.

Our night we stayed at this hotel was first met by excitement when we arrived after staying in cheaper hotels up until here. We decided to splurge a bit and go somewhere a bit nicer. The excitement dwindled 1 hour after arrival as we were met by ants. Being a lover of nature I love them but not in swarms in my hotel room. Our room also didn't have wifi working at all as they put us in the back corner where it didn't reach. After complaining about the ants we were moved to what they considered an upgrade but the conditions in this upgraded room may have been worse than the ants and lack of wifi even though we didn't have ants and had wifi. The walls looked like they had been molded over than scrubbed slightly where the mold may or may not be still there. Not small patches either long black streaks everywhere. The bathroom smelled like someone just let their bowels evacuate everywhere. They masked this smell or at least tried to with mothballs. When I read another persons review I thought that was a joke but it was indeed true. I did want to visit their pool but the weather turned bad quickly so missed that. All in all unless it was paid for by someone else I wouldn't pay here when they have better options elsewhere closer to the city center where there aren't some truly amazing restaurants. Hope this helps make anyone's decisions. Proceed with caution.
