Perfect hotel for our wedding anniversary getaway.
Pros:

Gorgeous room - well decorated and maintained. Super comfy bed and spacious ensuite with high end toiletries. Very friendly staff and great breakfast. Acknowledging our 25th wedding anniversary, a bottle of bubbly and cake were in our room when we arrived - what a lovely gesture!

Cons:

We visited on Easter day and for dinner there was a very limited bar menu available (the restaurant closed at 6:30pm) with pizza as the only vegetarian option.

4th stay at Beauport, great every time
Pros:

Room was spacious comfortable and really nice with great view of harbor. Great ambience throughout the hotel. the Lobby is great to just hang out in. Obviously, the management encourages staff to all be helpful and very friendly. The 1606 restaurant just off the lobby is great for breakfast, lunch, and dinners. We are now monitoring the Beauport site for specials and deals as an excuse to visit more often.

Our stay was fantastic. The hotel is beautiful, the staff was very accommodating and friendly. The room was spotless.

A great and fun experience during blizzard conditions!
Pros:

I can't say enough about this place. It is such a gem! I have to give a shout out to every single person who works here. Everyone was so nice and helpful. My friend and I arrived for 4 nights the day before a big blizzard was about to hit and we were wondering if the hotel would be open and if so what about the restaurant? We did not have to worry a bit.

The hotel had a plan and was ready to support all of the guests during the blizzard. They had staff stay over so the restaurant could stay open which was great because nothing else in town opened the day of the storm. The town probably got a foot and a half of snow and it was fun to ride it out in the hotel. Dinner at the hotel was really tasty and the service was great.

We arrived in the evening and the storm blew in overnight so we could not see anything at all the next day due to the wipe out conditions. Imagine our delight when we woke up the day after the storm to see incredible views of the water. The views were amazing!

We had a nightcap at the bar every night and everyone behind the bar was amazing and so welcoming. Shout out to Sherri, Gail and Nick. They made the experience so enjoyable.

The rooms are really nice and the beds are comfortable. Bathrooms were really clean and the housekeeping staff was top notch. I also recommend this hotel because you can easily walk to all the bars are restaurants in town. There are also a lot of cute shops to visit. Just a note- a bunch of places were open in February but not every storefront was open was so just call ahead to make sure where you plan to go is open.

Do not hesitate to stay at the Beauport. It was a great experience and I can't wait to go back!

Beautiful but not comfortable
Pros:

Best restaurant in Gloucester! The jr king suite room was beautiful but… very cold with draft windows. The sheets were scratchy — could barely out my face on the pillow case.

Noisy, noisy, noisy…
Pros:

The builders slapped the Beauport together on the cheap. It is poorly insulted, and noisy. Guests can hear conversations, TVs, and furniture being move about from above, and on either side of their rooms. If you love an ocean view, book a room at The Beauport. If you’re seeking and ocean view with a little peace and quiet, look elsewhere. This place is far too noisy and not worth the room rate.
