Pas grand chose. Peut-être l eau qui passe sous la porte quand il pleut vraiment fort. Mais une serviette et ça suffit.

Accommodation dates had to be changed by the hotel after reservation. There was some hassle in arrival and the locks of our room had to be changed, tidiness could have been better. The tap was broken. The bed was very short even though were are not that long people. Staff was smoking in the hotel area. Music was very loud in the restaurant even in breakfast. We didn´t get help finding a scooter for rent, the manager just told us it´s hard because of the high season.

I was very disappointed with my stay at this property, as it fell far below what was advertised on Booking.com and significantly impacted my trip.

Upon arrival, the bed was completely unsuitable for tall guests. I am 6’3”, and the bed frame was so short that my feet touched the end, making it extremely uncomfortable and comparable to sleeping in a child-sized bed. I raised this with reception, and while the manager attempted a solution by adding extra mattresses, they were incorrectly sized and placed sideways, resulting in a poorly arranged and still uncomfortable sleeping setup.

Cleanliness was also a major concern. At breakfast the following morning, there were visible stains on the breakfast table, which is not acceptable in a hotel environment. The breakfast itself was of very poor quality compared to other properties I have stayed at in Sri Lanka.

I also requested a beach towel and was given one that was covered in multiple stains on both sides, giving the impression that it had not been properly cleaned. This raised serious hygiene concerns.
The outdoor facilities were poorly maintained. The sunbed I selected was broken, and the cushions were heavily worn, dusty, and full of sand and debris, as if they are left outdoors year-round without proper care. Overall, the property shows clear signs of neglect and lack of maintenance, which is particularly disappointing given its excellent location.

Additionally, prior to my arrival, I was provided with a price list for surfing lessons. When I attempted to book on-site, the price was suddenly USD 140 higher. After I shared a screenshot of the original quote, I was told the prices had changed and that I had not been informed. This felt disorganised at best and misleading at worst, and I chose to book lessons elsewhere.

While the location is genuinely great, the accommodation standards, hygiene, and management practices do not match the expectations set by the listing.

Очень хотелось бы поставить 10, но возникли несколько проблем:

1. букали с видом на море, но достался частичный вид (меня предупредили заранее)

2. кровати рассчитаны на полторашку пива без позвоночника. Она очень короткая, ужасно скрипит и с плохим матрасом. Спина болит после такого сна 🫠

There was a mix up with the initial online booking, such that we didn't get the room we originally requested. The substitute room was still pretty good.

The tiled floors tend to be slippery when wet and may be dangerous.

Comme c’est la basse saison pas d’entretien et on a l’impression que rien n’est fait pour l’entretenir.

As this is close to the nature sometimes wild animals can be seen around. It may be an advantage or disadvantage, depends on your preferences ;)

There are no stairs to the private beach, you need go through the stones which is not safe

The hotel is surfer-friendly, but it wasn't quite what I had expected.
Perhaps this will change in the future, but the hotel did not offer surfboard rentals. Anyway I rented surfboards in the area around the hotel.
For beginners, I would recommend commuting to the bay to surf.
If you prefer a more out-of-the-way location, this is the place for you.

I was unlucky and the wi-fi didn't work at all, the manager apologized for this, telling me that the hotel uses an expensive tariff, such is the irony.
