Haili New Century Grand Hotel Haiyan

Hotel was in very good condition and front desk very friendly with adequate English spoken. Breakfast buffet was expansive with many many Chinese and Western options Was a pleasant surprise since no other reviews were available beforehand so one sometimes wonders.

Excelent hotel, very new, excelent service, luxurious, confortable, big and clean rooms with jacuzzi, located in a very comercial place. Free wi-fi, complet breakfast. Excelent relation quality-price.

Pretty good standard hotel on the far northern side of Haiyan (basically at the town's edge, ~4 km from the main plaza area).

I've stayed there twice. While all of the rooms are nice and feature good quality fittings (really little different from what you'd expect at a major Western chain in China), I would recommend spending what often seems to be <$10 to upgrade from the "Standard Room 标间“ to the much nicer "Executive 行政房“. While not necessarily listed a such, the more expensive rooms feature a lot more space in a suite-like style.

I will note that as of my second stay (almost 2 years after the first) the level of wear & tear in my room was dramatically higher. Cosmetic stuff for now - knicks, damages to tile, less than perfect but still fine cleaning, etc.

Breakfast has a pretty solid mix of Western and Chinese options, though coffee was pretty terrible. It can be a bit busy in the mornings though.

Don't think there are any nicer options in Haiyan itself....only may consider the older Haiyan Hotel if you want easy walkability to the city center (it's ~2 km to any significant commercial places from the New Century Haili hotel). If you're looking for a more relaxed stay and have the time, the Nanbei Lake tourist area ("North South Lake") has 1 or 2 decent hotels ~20 km south of the city...

Stayed here two nights while visiting factories in the area. It's a little far from anything but the local taxi is cheap and readily available. Hotel has best western food around but outside has lots of good Chinese choices within a reasonable distance. The evening buffet is reasonably priced and has lots of seafood choices but meat choices are limited. Breakfast buffet is included and also very adequate whether you lean towards western or Chinese breakfast. Overall a great value for the money and did not experience any problems.

Went there on a monday so im not sure if its always like that. The hotel is very big and the rooms are super nice. Although not sure if their bed is cleaned because i got plenty of bites. When you come back at night around 11 pm the lobby is almost empty and the lights are off.

Amazing Modern Large Clean Room. Very Tasty Wide Selection Breakfast. Very Reasonable Room Rate. Best Hotel in the area for sure. But the location is too quiet.

Stayed for 1 night recently and enjoyed it very much. It is typical Chinese 5* with luxuary rooms and restaurants. Breakfast is a feast and is always including in the room rate. Excellent value and pointless to stay in a Western chain.

Felt like a hotel property located from nowhere, this was a surprise hotel. The first thing you will notice is the luxury feel of the hotel. The lobby is huge, more like the Ritz Carlton types. The restaurant is again a huge one and the coffee shops and additional restaurants are also great

The rooms are massive with a huge bathroom - both the bathtub and shower cubicle. The room has an automatic curtain raiser which is again a surprise. The toiletries also felt luxurious and the most practical thing was the smoke masks to be used in case of an emergency. It is smart to have thought about that
