Great place to stay
Good and clean!!
Very good peaceful and courteous
Restroom was dirty
Beds want made right
Staff was friendly and helpful. Biggest issue was the internet was down for the last 2 days and was not resolved. There was no maid service except after the first night they took the trash. I told them I didn't need anything else so I guess they thought that meant I didn't need anything else for the entire stay. Also, the breakfast was not very good. Gravy was very salty.
Pool was close and the tv in room didn't work
Good location
Comfy, clean, decent breakfast
There were still dirty towels from the previous people that stayed in the room and bugs in the bed. Not bed bugs. The pool was closed most of the time we were there
We were excited to stay here because Monahans is our stop before heading into NM. We usually stay at the Motel 6 but decided to spend a little more and have the free breakfast this property offered. I even called while on the road right before booking online to double check the time for breakfast. I was told breakfast hours are 5:30-9:30. We checked in fine, rooms were clean, our AC unit was a little louder than we expected, but slept fine. We went down to breakfast at 6:38a and heard the girls at desk laughing and conversing. I caught a comment that there was nothing out for breakfast yet. Sure enough, as we walked into the dining room, I said good morning, and we turn the corner, yep…nothing. Lights are off, no food out. So we turn around and walk right back out, go to our room, grab our things and leave. We stopped at the desk and no mention of breakfast, or how was your stay? 0. We ended up grabbing breakfast next door at McDonald’s but all decided that next time we’ll just stay at the M6 and grab breakfast at either McD’s or the QT. We were very disappointed. Especially since it was a deciding factor to book there. *I’ve worked at Homewood Suites in Dallas, TX and done morning hospitality and I know that IF these girls were busy doing what they were supposed to be doing, breakfast would have still been out and they probably would have still had time to visit with one another.
Place seemed clean & new. We stayed because they had a full breakfast & a pool. However, one of our rooms had hair in the restroom on floor & sink. And the bed sheets had stains & there was a pair of socks in the sheets. Breakfast had scramble eggs, no meat. They didn’t keep it full so people got tried of waiting so they just left. The pool was cloudy & not safe to swim. My husband is a certified pool man & he asked for the pool logs. She said she didn’t have access to them. He told her the maintenances guy just put chemicals in the pool but did not put on the pool jets. That it could irritate the skin & burn your eyes. She just apologized & said she just works there. We did not go swimming.
I write this review believing that the town of Monahans has a shortage of employees, so this is not intended to point fingers at the employees. We stayed at this property before and had a similar experience. I thought we'd try it again, but we won't come back. No matter what time we came out for breakfast, there may be a few eggs (one morning there was none), but nothing to go with it - no bacon or sausage - no juice - no bagels. We specifically reserved this room because of the breakfast. Eating breakfast in town is an experience we didn't want to have again, so the hotel breakfast was important. We were short towels - we only had 1. We had no soap, but were given some when we asked. The TV was not plugged in. We got that taken care of but the remote needed to be programmed. The toilet seat looked dirty and was broken. We cleaned the seat. The staff that was there was accommodating and doing the best they can, but this stay fell way short for us with the breakfast.
Good attention
I stayed for 2 weeks and not even a single day they cleaned my room
No remote, found vapes in the couches, bugs in the room & dog poop in the hallways
The pool was green, even though the staff said it was just cleaned with fresh water, saw each day more water was added. Continued to be green and cloudy the entire stay. Would have been great to use in the 103 temps.
The rooms did not get cleaned daily. We had to ask daily for fresh towels when needed. Apparently they only clean the room every 3 days!!! In our 5 day stay the bathroom wasn't cleaned once and no vacuum had touched our room.
The food was not great. Boiled eggs did not peel at all and the same items daily. Bagels, bread, boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, coffee and no tea!! Was told they don't order meat as people were stealing it from the restaurant. I was excited for the breakfast sausage that is typically served at microtels.
Water machine in the lobby was out of water on the 1st day and stayed that way our entire stay.
Wifi did not work at all in the first room, staff was great at switching us to a different room as we requested. It was cleaner than the first room and had a much quieter airconditioning unit and no fake eyelashes stuck to the carpet in this room.
It was a comfortable bed with some really friendly staff, some not so much. Would never stay at this location again.
Be sure to google your location from this hotel, it was a longer drive to Midland than we expected.
Pleasant stay
The noise of the air conditioner is very loud.
Room was nice. They ran out of waters...wi-fi was iffy at best. Pool was cloudy....seldom was anyone at the front desk..limited breakfast but was nice to have it.
The room had no bath towels, no bath mat or stopper in the sink. The air conditioner made a high pitch whining sound and didn't keep the room cool. The walls are paper thin. So thin that the room next to us, who talked all night long, could be heard clearly. They would slam the room door and walls would rattle. My worst experience staying in a hotel!
