Manager knew his onions
The staff are courteous and polite. Internet was a bit of a problem
The foul smell through waste pipes in the toilet and the expired towels
Toilets was not clean enough
Poor Customer Service
It was a pleasant experience. Great manager who is attentive and very polite.
Fridge never worked trough out my stay , tv never worked till midnight after several complains , a fan is better than the room Ac , a nearby church drum set would not allow one to sleep in peace during their service.
Room occupants are two but only one person has free breakfast
Website only said breakfast
Paid and changed my room , it was better until I had the next day only one option of meal for breakfast
How will I pay 3k for 4slices of bread and scrambled eggs that looks like one and a half
No water or drinks served , had to rush up to my room
Am glad I made it out in the end 👎
The whole mgmt and staff are liars and scammers. They inflate the price of everything. They would lie to you about drink price and food. A staff would give a price and person would give you a another price. I check out a day before my check out date and they were asking me to pay late check out fee. Outrageous and Awful service with noise everyday in the morning. You can barely sleep.
The environment needs thorough revamp. So also the rooms. The noise emanating from the pool side is deafening, we had to change rooms. The TV looks old-fashioned. We had to fight to get the two complimentary breakfast we already paid for through hotels.com, as the reception said breakfast is only for one person.
Facilities should be inspected more regularly by Manager, and maintenance department need to be more thorough and honest with the jobs they carry out, making sure they keep guests informed of what they are doing/steps they`re taking to alleviate issues raised by guests in a honest manner, and making sure they complete any job they start.
In a few words...The Hotel, the Management, ALL MEMERS OF STAFF (Security, Cleaners, Kitchen Staff, Bar Staff, Receptionists, etc) EXCELLENT!!
Coming again soon...this time with my Family.
A warm and massive THANK YOU for making my stay BRILLIANT!!
They need to update period... and be more knowledgeable that now and in the near future the will have americans come to that hotel! ACCOMIDATE them properly.
Beautiful, clean hotel. I stayed for about two weeks and every staff person I interacted with was as helpful as possible + very friendly. Food was good. Management tried to be helpful but seemed unwilling to resolve certain problems (e.g., my expensive outlet adapter being destroyed during a power surge). Taxi service is VERY expensive; however if you are able, request Mr. Ajadi Emfan as your driver - he is punctual, professional (in dress and attitude) and knowledgeable.
Ultimately, I will stay here again during my next visit to Ibadan.
I love everything about owu crawn .nice and clean. Very friendly staff. But the WiFi is not very good .
.
The good: friendly, welcoming staff; spacious rooms. The bad: filthy hallways, dusty unusable gym, half-filled swimming pool, same two teabags used to brew tea all week.
Just FYI.
The hotel lives up to the image one gets online. It has all the usual stuff but my interactions with reception staff and bar staff left a very poor impression, nothing gets done in a hurry. Staff in the restaurant were quite pleasant and helpful.
It was a nice stay and the hotel even wash my vehicle for free. A service that other hotels in the area are not offering to customers as a courtesy.
I had booked a suite for a couple stay for two days. The room condition, water in restroom (especially hot water did not come); the room was kept not in good shape.
Loved the hotel. Clean and comfortable and attentive staff. A real haven from the hustle and bustle outside and felt safe with security gates manned 24 hours. Will definately stay here again. Thank you Owu Crown....
The Owu Crown Hotel is a diamond in the rough, and I loved my stay there. It's not a luxury hotel by western standards, but the service is absolutely wonderful. I have stayed at this hotel twice, and highly recommend it to anyone traveling in the Ibadan area.
There are a few things that could be improved: hot water in the showers is a luxury, and the towels look like they've seen better days.
On the plus side, however, is the service. I have stayed at many, many hotels across Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and the US. I've stayed in budget motels and very fancy hotels. I can honestly say that the service at the Owu Crown is the best I've ever had. The staff is friendly, and truly want to make your stay the best it can possibly be. Stay there a few days, and they'll know your name and come around to your room to make sure that everything is going well.
Need a quick ride to the ATM? They'll take care of you. Need your luggage weighed? Three bellhops went out of their way to bring me to their private weigh station. Want a beer at 2am? They've got you covered.
If you travel to Ibadan, check out the Owu Crown. It's not luxurious. Instead, it's like coming home.
