The kettle in my room was not working, thay come in the 5 days to bring more toilet pepper , they made the bad ones but never changed the tailes.
Easy booking.
Messy stairs outside, lift. Broken had to wait for towels.

No food facilities. No customer lounge area. Lift faulty going down from floor 2.
Leaving.
The receptionist is constantly unmanned. When you phone them they answer the phone half asleep at 11am. He phones you at 5pm to tell you he won't let you check in if you're later than 10pm after you tell him you'll be there within the hour. They cloned my card and I've been dealing with action fraud and the bank since because they make you pay the security deposit with card instead of cash as it says on the website. No hot water in the room. No kettle but they provide you with dirty glasses and teabags, but have a price list for tea and coffee in the reception. Wouldn't keep my pet fleas in this hotel.

Room look nothing like on website. Very disappointed with aspects as you can see in pictures, some area's poorly cleaned or damaged.

This place is not fit for purpose! Dirty, run down, broken windows, more like a halfway house & nothing like a hotel!
The pictures online are absolutely not representative of what the place is actually like.
No wonder it was so cheap & thank goodness we had only booked 1 night!

The lift didn’t work, the interior needs serious work - there are damaged and dirty walls, dirty carpets, I’ll fitting curtains (shower curtain used instead of proper curtain), our room hadn’t been cleaned….there were crisps on the floor, the bathroom was badly grouted, etc etc

The hole hotel was dirty , staff were rude and un friendly, the shower wasn't working and the water wasn't hot at all . We paid for a better room and the room was very tidy, very dirty . The hotel was nothing like the photos . Sains on the bedsheets.
Clean, friendly staff, deluxe room was great
What an absolute disaster, we stated for our engagement party, on the Saturday night out key card would not work so had to book somewhere else, no staff on duty, called and called on reply, never ever staying there again
There was nothing we liked . We were asked did we want deluxe room, I would had to see the basic room, no staff anywhere apart from checking in, I would like a full refund

To be fair I booked this room because it was cheap.
In that way it matched my expectations.

It was a good location for the seafront, I suppose. But so is every hotel in Eastbourne!
They took a deposit of £25/ night at checkin. That is the only time that has ever happened to me in Eastbourne, and is one reason not to go back. I heard other guests who were unhappy about this. They said it was because they had a lot of guests ‘from other countries’!
At first I thought a leg was missing from my wardrobe (so I reported it to ‘protect my deposit’, along with everything else). It turned out the floor was sunken in the middle!
No wjfi.
The reception stank of deodorant.
Loads of other things, but to be fair you get what you pay for.
