Nice hotel, good location

The owner and staff were very helpful and any issues we had were resolved immediately. Great facility.

Property was not great. But the staff were absolutely fantastic!!! They were most helpful and outstanding. It is not their fault the property is the way it is. It was cleaned to the best possible but fixtures and furniture need major upgrading.

Hotel Vacanza is not a luxury Hotel by European standards, but it's nice and clean, have OK shower facilities, spacy rooms and comfortable beds.
The staff is great and very helpful - also in organising safaris, taxi pick ups etc.
Breakfast is very good.
Location is great - literally 1 minute walk and you are on the central part of Mirissa Beach.

I would expact that on portals like hotels.com such offers are taken out.
Not worth the money.

Friendly staff, clean and close to the beach

The staff were so helpful. Nothing too much trouble, even let us have breakfast after our whale watching trip.

Struttura un po’ datata con una necessità di una profonda ristrutturazione . Personale gentile e disponibile, colazione decorosa ma non eccellente . Comoda alla spiaggia 50 metri.
Noi eravamo al terzo piano senza ascensore con le valige era un problema . Comunque stanza molto spaziosa con un grande terrazzo . Per finire buon rapporto qualità prezzo .

Found last Minute after the hotel I booked didn’t have ac. Room was large as was bathroom. Was offered snorkel equipment and beach towels as well as bottled water and a kettle. Was able to dry wet clothes outside room in a sort of porch. Close to beach and places to eat/drink

They overbooked and put me in hotel beside called wood lodge next door so what im reviewing is wood lodge.
Bed was comfortable, ac and hot shower were nice. = No tv, no fridge, light above did not work and alot of ants (not sure if thats just marissa)....and a dog waa barking all night (but maybe it was just that night).
I decided to skip my second night and stayed at Galle. Might of done that regardless...

The photos on the website were deceiving …the bathroom was quite old and there were ants everywhere, even though the staff were great and they did come and clean whenever we asked. I think we just got one of the bad rooms as judging from reviews, other people didn’t have an issue. The furniture inside the room is very old and dated but bed was ok comfort and AC worked very well. The staff were really nice but hotel probably needs to be updated. It was fair for the price though

Немного не совпало с ожиданиями, которые сформировались по отзывам. В целом хорошо и может даже отлично кроме чистоты и внешнего вида номера. При въезде дали приветственные напитки, в номере не было затемняющих штор как числится (окна выходят на сторону где ходят люди, всю ночь мелькают тени и слышны шаги), отсутствовал чайник ,но принесли сразу как только указали на это, есть стол но нет стульев (это наверное постоянная проблема в отелях Шри-Ланки,есть,пить чай не удобно), есть горячая вода и хороший напор, номер просторный ,ванна просто огромная, бесплатный чай /кофе и бутылированная вода, неудобства с временем завтраков (8.30-11.00) и выезд не в полдень как числится, а в 11.00. Часов в 9 вечера мы сообщили им о раннем выезде (в 5.30) - нам без проблем организовали ланч боксы, очень не плохие (номер был с завтраком). В целом рекомендем,так как цена качество соответствует.

Stayed here a couple days and really don’t have anything to complain about. Stayed an extra night as was just what we needed, chilled. Lovely place with very friendly staff. We had the room on the top floor which had partially views of the beach and sea. The room was very spacious with a big super king and single bed, both 4 posted. The place is not luxurious but it is very nice. Situated 300m from the beach where there are a number of bar & restaurants on the beach. You get a lot for your money and the staff are happy to help with anything you need.

Good clean room and friendly staff. Good location for the beach and only a 5 minute tuk tuk ride for the whale watching.
We didnt have the breakfast so can't comment but other people were having it and looked good. The staff kept offering to top up the tea, coffee and toast. The staff were very helpful in orgaising our transport onto Galle. Would stay again if in the area.

Quaint hotel that's 3 minutes walkable to the beach. Large rooms with big beds and balcony. Would stay again.

We stayed for 3 nights with our 2 children.
The rooms are huge and it was great to spread out! Bathroom is also really lovely and a great size. Shower is enormous!
The staff are lovely and the man who runs Hotel always has a smile from ear to ear and more than willing to help at any time.
Breakfast is simple but more than enough- eggs with sausage and toast and jam. Fruit juice, coffee/tea.
Location is brilliant- only about a 2 minute walk to the beach and a huge selection of places to eat and get a few snacks all around.
Easy to get a tuktuk too.

The one downfall for us was the smell of our room. I dont know if it was just ours, or all rooms, but ours was very damp and musty smelling.
Our clothes all smelt when we left also. If we were staying more than 3 nights, i would have asked for a room change.

With all this said - I would still recommend to others and i would stay here again myself also.

A great hotel. The rooms and balcony are huge! The staff are wonderful and the food great. Definitely recommend this.
