Hotel La Posada and Jungle

I throughly enjoyed my stay at La Posada. It backs up to the national forest and so there was a lot of wildlife around the property. The beach was about 2 blocks away through an easy cut through. Lots of restaurants close. The staff was wonderful and friendly. A cooked breakfast was free.

This hotel is great primarily because of two things: location and staff. It is right beside the gate to the national park, like 50 feet. Second, the staff is super friendly. Ronny is a star. He was helpful and friendly and went out of his way to show our son animals around the property.

Property is right next to the Manuel Antonio park. Breakfast is alright - you have 3 to 4 options and you select the option you want. Room was good, internet good. The prime advantage is the location next to the national park. You have breakfast in the morning and can head to the park/beach. There is a backlane that you can walk straight to the beach - 5 minutes walk. There is a very good restaurant right opposite the hotel and it is very good. There is a mini market next door as well. Overall I recommend this place.

Ronny, who works the desk, was tireless in always doing his best to make our stay what we wanted it to be. He worked as a great concierge making sure we would be booked for any activity that we wanted at any time we wanted. The property was nice and very convenient to the park and beach. But it was the personal touches by the staff that makes this a superb choice.

We loved our stay! Room was large on second floor. Perfect view of National Park. Close to shopping. Beach and food. Many animals came on property. Great experience and Ronnie was very very helpful!!

Nice comfortable hotel pressed against the jungle, slept well.

Our main interest was the NP Manuel Antonio and seeing wildlife. La Posada is right at the entrance of the park. It has wildlife that visits the property too. Our room was nice and cool. Staff was very helpful. We would stay again. Adjoining is Rocco's seving very tasty pizza.

Beautiful property immediately adjacent to the national park. We were visited by several animals right outside the room which was magical. Delicious breakfast included. Parking in the area is tight but the front desk gentleman was very helpful in finding us a spot and we didn’t need to use the car at all while at the hotel as everything we wanted (park, beach, restaurants) was easily walkable.

The location of La Posada Jungle hotel is unbeatable! We stayed here with our 3 yr old daughter and loved being able to walk to the beach, many restaurants and shops, and of course the park. The line into the park can be very long at times, so it was nice to be able to play with my daughter at the pool while my husband waited in line. Then when he got close to the entrance he'd text me and we'd go out to meet him. Much better than a 3 yr old waiting in a line for almost an hour. We stayed in a deluxe suite which was great for our 6 night stay. It had a fridge so we could save leftovers from dinner and reheat them in the microwave in the dining area to eat them for lunch the next day. It had a small table and chairs right outside the doors which was nice for coffee sits in the morning to watch animals. The included breakfast was great, different options and plenty of food. We saw many animals at the hotel, much closer than in the park. Overall we really enjoyed this hotel and would stay here again. Rony was always super helpful and friendly. Carlos Montero runs the private shuttle service and was also incredibly kind and accommodating. We are so thankful we decided to go with the private shuttle from SJO to the hotel because our flight ended up being 3 hrs delayed and Carlos waited there for us the whole time. Once we arrived he greeted us with a big smile and did not seem annoyed at all for our delay. We were also able to coordinate a stop to KSTR on our way back to SJO.

Lovely stay. Really close to the national park and beach. Could be a bit more updated in decor but nice grounds.

Friendly staff, great location near park, very clean. Nice hot breakfast included. Monkey in backyard around the pool. Room was sparely decorated with very thin towels and few amenities. For the price it was a great value.

The staff are truly top notch, friendly and helpful. Genuinely good people. Location is great. You can’t get closer to the park than this hotel. Also the beach is a quick 3 min walk. I will be back!!

A nice, small hotel literally a few steps from the Park entrance. A great location for the area. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was great. Good starting point for our Costa Rica trip.
The monkeys on the roof in the morning were free-of-charge.
Is this the Ritz? No, but it is clean and comfortable.
If you're a posh traveler, then perhaps this won't be your spot, but if you're a regular person, don't hesitate to stay here.

This hotel is very nice hotel with beautiful natural garden. Only 50 meters from the entrance of the Antonio national park. Allen helped us found a parking spot when we arrived. The room was clean and quiet. They provided very nice and yummy breakfast. The hotel is next to the woods, so there are a lots of white face moneys and howler moneys and other animals active in the garden of the hotel. The stuff Allen, Ronnie and Damien are all very friendly, warm hearted and helpful. They showed us a lots of animals from their garden.
