Piscinas y hospedaje
Rien. Tout était parfait !
This is a heavenly place. Our lodge looked over to the sea and we were surrounded by wildlife and breathtaking views. The pool was cooling and the food was second to none. Our hosts were friendly and so very helpful.
I took time to adapt to the heat but our room was beautifully shaded and we had fans which helped. We spent hot afternoons on the veranda in the hammock.
Stunning location in the jungle 5 mins walk from beach
Nothing
A very nice getaway surrounded by forest, wildlife, and the sound of the ocean. The staff were friendly and helpful. And the cabins were simple, but confortable.
This was the most expensive accommodation we booked on our trip this time to CR.
We booked this property months prior to going and had received a free upgrade through booking.com so we were looking forward to the deluxe bungalows that boasted outside showers and ocean views. It was to be the highlight of our trip and the last place the 4 of us were to be together before travelling home. The room upgrade didn't happen, and when asked the staff were dismissive, with no apology or explanation and suggested I took my complaint to booking.com. As you can imagine, this was really disappointing.
On the positive side, the place itself is in a beautiful setting with glimpses of the sea from our rooms. The bird and wildlife are wonderful and the grounds extensive to wander around. The sea is a 20 minute walk away and well worth the trek back up the hill.
No communication about the non-availability of the free upgrade. Had there been, we would have looked at alternative accommodation as I do not think this was value for money. I should also have picked up that this is really a retreat for yoga and well being groups rather than a suitable place for individuals to stay. The groups appear to have preferential times for meals leaving us to have set meal times an hour earlier: 0730 for breakfast, 1230 for lunch and 1830 for supper, which made the evenings quite long!
The beautiful surroundings, host and staff hospitality and laid-back feeling.
Nothing.
The place is really nice! However the value for money could be improved adding some extra breakfast time and variety and some additional amenities.
This is how i imagine paradise! Beautiful place full of nature with amazing yoga shala and delicious meals
What an amazing experience to live within the jungle!
The lodge is superbly located on the edge of tropical jungle overlooking the Pacific. It's magically endowed with colorful flora and fauna.
The owners are genuinely warm and hospitable. The staff are attentive and courteous.
We look forward to our next stay next year. We stayed a week this time and could have enjoyed another one.
Absolutely nothing!
relaxed attentive service
nothing
We loved everything! It was the best hotel experience we ever had. I think I cannot describe in these few words how good it really was.
Facilities, service, food: top notch.
But the best was thing eas the people. We really felt like family. Thank you! :)
Incredible place.
Our stay at the Tiskita Jungle Lodge was very dreamlike. Laying in a hammock on the back porch of our lodge which overlooked the ocean while surrounded by the nature of the jungle with monkeys and toucans nearby. The meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner included with our stay) were out of this world delicious! Walks through the jungle towards the fruit farm and waterfall w/swim pools were quite scenic as well. I also highly recommend horseback riding from Tiskita Jungle Lodge to catch the sunset along the beach where the jungle meets the ocean. It is truly a “bucket list” to-do that you will most enjoy and remember forever.
We arrived to a very warm welcome from the family who owned the lodge. Our bags were taken to our cabin while we had lunch (all meals were included) and then we were shown to the cabin from where we had fantastic views of the Pacific.
The lodge is situated in a beautiful jungle estate with walking trails which enabled us to see some amazing wildlife but it is only a five minute walk from the beach and there is excellent surfing nearby. There is a very knowledgeable guide available to take you on wildlife tours of the estate.
Although it is in a remote part of Costa Rica (we went by plane and taxi), this was the highlight of our trip and we wished we could have stayed longer. It is not a five star hotel but it is a five star experience and we certainly hope to go back.
If you are a bird watcher and/or love wild unspoiled places next to the beach, you won't find a better place to stay. The care you will be given makes you feel like part of their family. Their intention is preservation of the rainforest and wildlife and they do everything they can to help you appreciate it.
