Al-Saif Grand Hotel

The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. We needed a taxi to the Matrah and also one for the airport the next day early in the morning.
They work with a couple of taxi drivers who are really friendly and reliable, whom we felt comfortable with during the rides.

Eu tinha reserva de quarto twin mas cheguei tinha apenas cama casal. O funcionário arranjo uma cama Extra. No dia seguinte depois voltei no final do dia o quarto estava mesmo jeito havia deixado. Sem feito a troca de cama nem mesmo arrumado. Fora isto foi TD ok.

Multistorey hotel with elevator in a short drive from the Airport and a 15 to 20 minute walk from the Grand Mosque. The rooms were spacious, clean and quite silent. We were provided food by the tourism company so I can not say anything about the hotel's food. The service was good and very polite, they helped us to get taxis to move around Muscat and gave us indications.

When we arrived at the hotel at 5:30 pm we were told we could not check into our room because there was a big group coming . We were like : so? We had to wait 30 minutes . After waiting for ten minutes the group arrived and they were all checked into their rooms and 20 minutes later we got our room as well. The room was clean and spacious , but it smelled like cheap detergent or something . Not very pleasant.
The bed was good. I did sleep well.

従業員の方も優しく、比較的快適に過ごせました。ホテルの周辺は更地が広がっていますが、近くに美味しいペルシャ料理店やスーパーがあるので便利です。何よりもバスターミナルが近いことはありがたいです。良くない点を言えば、ルイからは遠いという点と、シャワーのお湯が出ない、wifiが貧弱であったという点です。それ以外の設備には問題ありませんでした。
朝食はパンとフルーツ、コーヒーか紅茶が出てきます。担当のスタッフは優しい人でしたが、朝食がどうしても必要という人以外は、朝食なしで良いのではないかと思いました。

Good location, very clean and nice service

nous avions réservé pour 3 et avons eu une chambre de 2 avec un matelas par terre. en soit ce n'est pas la fin du monde mais on a réservé pour 3 et non 2 !! je pense que hotels.com devrait revoir la description pour cet hotel

I have been booking this hotel several times in my last stays in Muscat. The location is excellent. Near Meera shopping centre (one of my favourite shops) and there are restaurants, cafes and more. The check in and out are very smooth and fast. The price is one of the lowest in Muscat.

I am writing this review on behalf of my husband who works in Oman during the week. In a nutshell, he goes to work early, so he misses breakfast, nor can I comment on that.

However, what I can comment on is the following:

1. Live cockroach found in bathroom; cleanliness of room was dire!
2. Light switch and call bell is actually located behind the TV unit, approximately 30cm reach at the back of some bedroom wall unit / panel.
3. Room provided had strong tobacco smell from other smokers, although non-smoking was requested.
4. Husband left for work at 6:30am, only to return at 6:00pm to find that the room was not cleaned or bed made. He had to sit in the lobby whilst they cleaned the room
5. Lastly, the night porter tried to charge my husband more money for the weekly taxis to and from work; a higher fee than what the actually taxi driver charges. Scam artist!
6. Staff with very poor English language, if none at all! no customer service training.

In summary, ladies who are reviewing this, don't let your husband stay here on business. Trust me, my husband relocated to another hotel because of all the above comments. There are better hotels to go to...stay away!

Nouvel hôtel (inconnu du taxi ou de mon guide) proche de l'aéroport. J'ai eu quelques difficultés pour faire retrouver ma réservation au réceptionniste de nuit qui me proposait un autre tarif à payer en liquide. Le problème a été réglé le lendemain sans difficulté avec l'équipe de jour. Au delà de ce petit accroc, l'hôtel était relativement bon marche, la chambre confortable et tout était quasi neuf.

This was my first ever time travelling to Muscat. The roads are a bit confusing to follow to get to the hotel but once you arrive it is a very beautiful hotel.

We arrived very late in the night and he hotel staff were very friendly and very helpful. We needed extra water and pillows and they were more than accommodating.

The hotel is very clean and new. The beds are spacious the rooms are modern and everything is very excellent. Breakfast was good, the servers were more than generous.

The hotel is in a nice location so everything is accessible. Would highly recommend.

The hotel is quite worn out (broken furniture, moldy shower, otherwise clean), though the staff is helpful. The location is quite close to the airport, so it makes a good place to stay the first night after a late arrival - however, the taxi is needed. Definitely not luxury, not a place to spend many nights.

Die Adresse war Falsch. ich musste ein Taxi mieten damit er mir das Hotel zeigte. Der Taxi Fahrer hat für mich das Hotel Personal angerufen und die Situation geschildert, waren sie aber nicht interessiert. Der Abfluss des Waschbeckens war am laufen. das Bade zimmer war voll mit wasser. Kein wasser war im Kühlschrank wie in der Beschreibung. Sehr lange wartezeit bis wir Frühstück bekommen haben, War aber nicht mal ein Kaffee dabei!
Baustelle im Hotel. Das Hotel Personal richtet neuen Zimmern. Ab 07 Uhr morgen hört man nur Bohrmaschinen und Hammerklopfen. Finger weg. Nicht zu empfehlen

Oikein kiva persoonallinen huone. Siisti hotelli. Aulassa hierova tuoli, joka kovasti perheen mieleen.

Olimme jo toistamiseen tässä hotellissa. Oikein mukava hotelli, jossa persoonallista sisustamista. Hierova tuoli teki vaikutuksen. Lähellä Sultan Qaboosin moskeijaa ja vieressä ihan kiva (Irakilainen?) ravintola.
Vaikkei isompaa valittamista olekaan oli palvelu hieman heikompaa ja vessakin haisi yrjöltä ( vaikka näytti kyllä täysin siistiltä) toisella kerralla. Kaikesta huolimatta uskaltaisin suositella tätä hotellia ja menisin itsekin uudestaan.
